Cool What's on your reading list for 2012?

I'm really interested what you guys have on your "to read" list for 2012? I've just started Reading 'The 10X Rule' by Grant Cardone some parts make me squirm LOL but it's changing my thinking BIG time!

for instance, I realized that what I thought were "failures" in the past were simply me miscalculating the efforts needed to make something happen. snip>>If you are not hitting your target goals, never reduce the target ~ instead, increase the actions you take toward it. Any target attacked with the right actions in the right amounts with persistence is attainable.

I'll be done with it soon and need some new suggestions, Thanks :-) Megan

Hi again Dee - I was just looking at Encouragement Changes Everything - by John Maxwell over on amazon - fell in love with it right away when I read the part at the beginning where he says, "To encourage people is to help them gain courage they might not otherwise possess -- courage to face the day, to do what's right, to take risks, to make a difference." I can tell this is my kind of book :-) thanks!! ~megan

Hi Megan.. We'll have our own little pow-wow here. LOL

Yeah, I think I discovered John Maxwell thru Joyce Meyer.. and he is just such an inspiring man, period. That particular book never gets old because it addresses a fundamental need of all of us; to be accepted.

Maxwell reminds me of one of my favorite cousins, Tim. He's such a happy man and he spreads happiness wherever he goes. One day I asked him about it and this is what he told me:

"My dad taught me that every time you have interaction with someone, you have an opportunity to lift them up or pull them down. When you part, do they feel better for having known you, or worse?"

Happy reading.. and Happy New Year to all of us! dee

I read topics like this with trepidation because I know that Amazon will be getting more of my money as a result...

I love reading and always have a book, magazine, or something around me. With that said I set a goal to intentionally read much more this year and am actually planning on calendaring this a little. I've put aside an hour a day for reading. The goal is to read a book a week. I am placing some structure in the calendar. I am planning my reading - and every 4th week I am leaving it open for whatever feels right. It may be a book that is just released; or that someone tells me about. I am seeking structure.

However, here is a small list of books I plan to read in 2012:

The Barefoot Executive - Carrie Wilkerson
Strengths Based Selling - Tony Rutigliano & Brian Brim
Tell to Win - Peter Guber
Great by Choice - Collins & Hansen
The Five Levels of Leadership - John Maxwell
Huge Profits with Affiliate Marketing - Connie Ragen Green
    EntreLeadership - Dave Ramsey
    With Purpose - Ken Dychtwald

These are just a few of the ones I am excited about.

I also plan on reading through the Bible this year for personal and spiritual growth.

I look forward to hearing more of what you're reading. It will make a huge difference in who you are and what you will become.

    Cheering for you.

Hi Jeremy - awesome list! I started this because I needed some new ideas and inspirations - I want 2012 to be the year I break out of my rut -- you know what a "rut" is don't you? it's just a grave with the ends knocked out - LOL Thanks!, Megan

LOL but you do know you can support Barnes & Noble instead of Amazon right?

I still shop Amazon, just placed an order last night BUT I am now supporting B & N because they accepted me as an affiliate when Amazon dropped me due to IL state laws. I blame IL BUT am thankful for B & N.
