Default Help Needed In Getting Started

    Hello everyone:

I'm hoping that there is someone out there who could give me all the help possible as well as mentor me in building my online business.

First off, I would like to share what I've done so far that hasn't worked for me. Back in July of last year, I joined an internet marketing university called Wealthy Affiliate. They ran a deal for all of their ex members where they could get in for just $2 and then pay $47 a month for the platinum membership. So I took advantage of that. They do happen to have some great guides and training there that can help get someone started, but what they don't have a lot of is video training which is something that I think I will learn best from. Also, when it came to getting help, it wasn't always easy because it would take the creators of WA at least one business day to get back to me and if I were to e-mail them back minutes after writing to one, I have to wait yet again. I just felt that it wasn't worth paying the $47 a month for which is normally $97 for that type of membership.

Then I bought a WSO on the warrior forum which claimed that if you downloaded a program, it would help give you a lot of fans for a facebook fan page. It was like an automatic program. I had suspicions about it. I couldn't even print out the ebook either. I tried to get a refund from the seller but he never contacted me, nor would help me. Sad thing is that people were giving great reviews about the product.

In October of 2011, I joined another coaching site called Niche Profit Classroom created by Adam Short. Membership to NPC costs $67 a month and when I first joined, I thought that stuff on the site was a bit out of date. And then I found out that the creator had been in the process of getting ready to launch a new version of the training that he had been working on for quite sometime. So part one of the new training came out in August of 2011 which teaches people how to build adsense web sites. This module is called Niche Profit Shortcut. I built two of these web sites, one of then I had to take down because I had a name in the URL that was violating trademark. The other one I just launched two weeks ago. If you want to check out that site, you can go to http://www.donnakaranperfume.org It's an adsense based site. Now, the sites that I built were not built using wordpress. NPC has a tool called Niche Profit Press Ultimate which is a web site builder to create web sites. The creators of NPC do not believe in using wordpress anymore. I don't know why since many internet marketers still use wordpress for their sites. I've had people criticize me about the site, but the way it's built was the way that I was trained to build that donna karan site. Now the backlinking training that he teaches to his students is something that does not work. And another friend of mine did an analyzation of the web sites the creator of NPC himself built and the way he did link building with those sites was not the way the students were trained. The reason for this is the way he did link building for those sites, he actually paid for a unique article wizard membership which is $67 a month and then he paid to have three good quality articles written to have submitted to various blogs. He used my article express to have these articles written which costs about $17 to have articles written for each of his sites. I tried to do that with my donna karan site, but then another member talked me out of doing that and said I should cancel my membership with NPC since the stuff he teaches is a scam and that the backlinking method he teaches does not even work one bit, and he created a keyword tool that will check for the amount of searches for a keyword which are broad, exact and phrase searches per month, competition levels and to see if the domains are available in a .com, .net, and .org format. There's more to it, but I won't go into anymore detail.

So now I'm back to square 1 again. I'm wanting to build an affiliate web site where I can start generating some money for it in the near future. I don't know where to begin, or which products I should buy if any. I will be needing help with determining the right niche to pick as well as help finding money making keywords, checking competition levels, building web sites, link building and more. I had a friend working with me on this, but he's on vacation until next week Thursday, but I would like to get a site up and running sooner than that if possible. I would hire a coach, but I just don't have that kind of money to spend on one, and I'm about to be evicted from my apartment and as a result, I may have to quit my job since I do not drive a vehicle and where I may move to, I may not be on a bus route or might be living a ways away from where I work.

Also, I might add too that my interests are in Computers and Electronics, and I would choose that Niche, but I'm told that it's a very high competitive Niche to get into. I am willing to learn new things as well and do research on those things.

I am pretty sure donna karan is a trademark violation and you will lose it eventually, so don't waste anymore time on that one. Mybest advice is to listen to proven, successful people who have built strong online businesses. Stay away from the Warrior forum because it just has too many scams and its hard for a newbie to figure out who is for real and who is blowing hot air. There is good stuff there but you need some experience to sort it out. A good place to find some real successful internet marketers is look at the list of teachers for Niche Affiliate Marketing System(NAMS). Those people are for real and Lynn Terry is one of them. I am going to the NAMS workshop this weekend in Atlanta for the first time myself and that is how I am starting out in this business. Good Luck to you!

I do know better now not to buy WSO's from the warrior forum anymore. They are often too good to be true.

Oh wow. It is definately something I would want to attend, but being that it's only within a few days, it's obviously a bit late for me. If I start making some money in the near future and have enough to go to the one in August, I will definately consider going to that event.
