I don't see why your idea wouldn't work. Essentially you are using your categories as the "keyword domains" and building up the power of the overall domain (the one you actually bought). I know many affiliate marketers do this as often as the one domain per keyword.

I'm a little unsure how you would build the internal linking structure for LTKWs --> SCP --> CP --> Home
Can you explain your idea a little more?

I've been having fun with ...obsessed domain names lately. You could do something like TrendObsessed.com (taken) or SummerObsessed.com (available as of writing this). You mentioned mostly summer style items and this could relate to them all with the ability to grow with future trends. It's also slightly keyword rich with "summer" but I don't know if you are trying to rank for anything with that in the title.

I just want to be sure, you are trying to do something like this right:
DOMAIN: dogs.com
CATEGORY PAGES: 1) dog training, 2) dog walking, 3) dog grooming
SUB CATEGORY PAGES: 1) dog training tips, dog training tools, 2) dog walking tips, dog walking jobs, 3) dog grooming services, dog grooming tools
LTKW: 1) dog training tips for beginners, dog training tools under $10, 2) dog walking tips for parents, dog walking jobs for high school students, 3) dog grooming services in Los Angeles, dog grooming tools of the trade

Well i have several KWs in different Categories . The two-three word KWs will form my categories and hence the page and the LTKWs will form the posts linking back to the the pages and giving/passing the link juice upwards

Ok. So the home page will list all the categories (2-3 work KWs), then each category page will list the articles (LTKWs). I get that, think that's doable. You are essentially creating a squeeze page (like Problogger calls it where it's a page with your greatest posts in a sense).

How would you accomplish this backwards?
