    Default Unwanted Ads on Facebook

Hi, I need some help.. When I go to my Timeline in Facebook, there are BIG ads there that I did not put on. Where do they come from and how did they get there? Is it something I've done that I don't even know that I've done?

How do I go about getting rid of these ads? Is this a new thing with Facebook?

I don't know much about Facebook and how to navigate around there. Can anyone recommend a good tutorial?

Well, now this is interesting. These ads appear on any Facebook site I go to. Lynn's site: the ads appear. My daughter's site: the ads appear. My son's site: the ads appear. Connie Green's site: the ads appear.

Do you think that it's something wrong with my computer?

Does anyone have any ideas, or has this happened to anyone else?

Can you take a screenshot so we can see what you are talking about?

Hi Sherri, today Windows defender had a window pop up that said there was program that was doing Pop Up ads on my computer and they would clear it and remove it. After the program was done I went back and those pesky pop-up ads are still there on Facebook. I have McAfee Security, so I'll go poking around there and in Windows Defender and see if I can get this taken care of.

The pop up ads are random, and seem to be any and all of the ads that are located on the side bar of Facebook.

I did take a screen shot, but am unable to upload it here.

    Thanks, Vicki

Hip, hip, hooray, I restarted my computer again and all is well. The popup Adware thing is gone, hopefully forever!

I think it's funny, McAfee missed it, but Windows Defender caught it. I'm learning something new every day, still don't know enough to write home about, but I hope to get there someday.

I'm so glad you got that sorted out, Sherri!
