my passion is TEACHING! I am created to do it! I study personal growth books as my hobby. I love collecting stamp and making scrapbook, also. sport is another favourite of mine. can each of these items be the starting point?

The key is in choosing a topic you can write about endlessly - something you love doing, talking about, sharing, etc. You also want to choose a niche that has profit potential, of course, so that's something to consider.

Outside of your current hobbies and interests, do you have any "bigger dreams" or things you would love to spend your time doing if money and location were not issues??

As for Lynn, she is great. I have known her personally for over 8 years and I am her business assistant as well. We travel together for business conferences as well so I can vouch for her being the real deal.

When it comes to making business investments, you have to look at what you can use RIGHT NOW. You can usually make the return on investment within a few weeks after implementing.

You will find that Lynn promotes various products, her private membership forum, etc. so I just want to let you know up front. She makes her living through affiliate marketing and teaches others how to do the same via her blog and does hands on training through her private membership group.

Well Paul, I can safely say this stuff comes easier for some people than others, but there's really nothing but your own effort stopping you from earning that first dime. The basics are very easily understood, as you probably know from reading Lynn's blog. I think one thing in such lessons that doesn't always come through, though, is that successful marketers like Lynn have put in a whole lot work to iron out the kinks and earn real money.

To rank a web property that produces income may take creating a site containing hundreds of articles. You may have to spend weeks of long days submitting social media work. Even coming up with a really good list of keywords can take many hours work. And there's no guarantee that the effort will pay off. However, it is guaranteed that if you don't, it won't. You can't just do one thing and fudge the rest, either. It all has to be done and done correctly. One big difference I've found between being employed and being self employed is that when you're self employed if you don't perform, you don't earn-- anything.

Something else newbies often don't see is the importance of 1) creating a solid plan and 2) testing. You need to form your own detailed plan-- do it on paper. Every time you run across a variable of which you are uncertain, note it for testing. Make a habit of testing and recording your test results. That's how you know what works best and what doesn't. The people on this forum can give you lots of general advice, but your own effort is what will give you the specifics that will make you money.

In my opinion, "may" is the key word in this response. It "may" take less, it "may" take more. I think the point I would stress is that online business is 'a business'. Ed Dale and his 30-Challenge sets out to make exactly what you're looking to do - $1. The process to earn $1 is basically setting up a business plan and testing - exactly what Wade says above.

I don't believe in the 'get rich schemes' but I DO believe in online success. It sounds like after spending $2k-$3k on internet marketing 'shiny objects' you have been around a while and have seen a lot. I've been there myself....not sure how much I've spent though. BUT...the point is, you probably have plenty of information right in front of you....just focus on reading and really learning the process. Lynn has TONS of information on here that is solid.

Thank you ladies for your feedback it's much appreciated, i have had 10 domains in all with some kind of branding in them e.g paulsmithswebsite dot org dot com dot net dot co.uk dot info, but i have let them expire.

At the moment i have a migraine domain name and a makemoney domain name but no actual website as such.

I would like to start from scratch and learn what Lynn and all you members are using to be successful.

p.s Elite membership will have to wait till i can make enough to cover the cost.

Totally understand about the cost. I think if you find something you're passionate about with a big enough reach that you will make that money in no time and then can join us to get more specific help.

As for right now, I would also agree that you should find something new from scratch. I would say the migraine one would be tough and the make money online one would only be successful if you are actually making money online. It's a really competitive niche even for those who ARE making money and teach it.

I guess I was taking a bit of a "scared straight" approach with that example, but my point was that the only way you can really make money in this IM stuff is to roll up your sleeves and put in the hours. Learning from the experience of others is great, but it's value is fractional compared to what you learn by running your own online business-- even if it's full of trial and error failures.
