Hey Loretta, those backgrounds are beautiful!

Got a question for you, though... on my screen (17" monitor), Twitter backgrounds are mostly hidden behind/under the person's Twitter page, so I don't see all the cool stuff in people's background designs. The screenshots you included in your post are NOT what I see on Twitter... the left and right panels of the custom design are hardly visible at all.

Is there some sort of an adjustment I can make for my viewing area? Or are the custom designs only fully visible on larger monitors?

Same thing happens for me. I can't ever see the cool stuff either. Definitely not what I see in the screen shots above. They are all under the twitter page. I would love to know how to change that!

Hi, Bonnie and Angie. Your problem isn't the monitor size, but your operating system's resolution settings. Apparently these backgrounds (as with most Twitter backgrounds I've seen) are designed for resolution settings wider than 1024px. While I use a 21" monitor, I keep my screen resolution at 1024x768, which chops off many Twitter backgrounds, including Retta's. Current stats show approximately 57% of web users have their resolutions widths set higher than 1024px. It's understandable that you'd want to cater to the majority of your market, but it would be nice if Retta could try some somewhat closer designs that would be visible to more of us.
