Default What are your plans for your business in the New Year?

Something that is often overlooked in building a successful business is to have a vision, plan and expectations of what your business is capable of.

I have already begun to plan for the new year with dates of roll-outs, products I want to develop for affiliate programs, conferences I plan to attend, etc.

Something that helps me with my planning is a erasable wall calendar that I can use to vision my coming year.

Would love to hear what others are doing to create the best year ever in your business. If you are new to your online business, what are you revenue projections. With projections it is important to stretch, but be realistic. For example, going from zero revenues to a million in a month is not realistic.

    Happy Holidays.

I usually end up making up or revising my plan every 4 months out of the year. I have been a little slow in income this last year due to having a baby but I have projected that I will go from $500 a month to $2000 a month by the end of the year. This may not be a huge amount of money to some of you who are making that a week, but to me, this fits in with my schedules and family life.

I have found new clients and work for this year and have picked out a few more affiliate products to do some bum marketing to get some residual income coming in while I do my freelance work.

I have new software I am teaching myself how to do so I can start making videos, audios and such and get that marketing method working for me as well.

I have the confidence that I will be successful this coming year and start seeing an increase in both income and reputation.

Sounds like a great plan kdbbiz. I sent your web address to my niece who plans to start an at home business. She has two children and really wants to stay home to do her business.

Thanks Kathleen, I appreciate you helping spread the word to other moms about my site. I am hoping to get even more resources on there as soon as I am organized. One of my goals for the new year

Let her know I am here to help her if she needs it or has any questions.

Me thinks I need to go back and learn the basics. I've had to go back to work again this winter, and I'm not happy about it. My plan,, simply to go back to the beginning, and learn to do AM correctly, which means I'll be here a lot more, hopefully hitting more of the calls.

Now is a great time to start planning for the next year. Just remember that when you create your plans, they are active living documents -- not something you create and put on a shelf to collect dust.

To help you out, you can pick up a copy of my free goal setting guide.

Kathleen, I've been trying to formulate an answer to your question since you posted it. Thank you for the reminder of how important strategic business plans and goals can be to becoming profitable.

I found this much easier to do when it was somebody else's business, but with my own businesses (online and offline), I've struggled with the business plans and goal setting. I've never understood why, but suspect it has something to do with a "fear" about setting goals and not meeting them. If it's someone else's business, it's their "failure" not mine! (I use quotes around those words because I really dislike them.)

Denise, thanks for the goal setting guide! I've already done the opt in to get it.

Jeannette -- Great. Look forward to your feedback. Make sure you confirm so you can get a copy of the guide. Expect a few checkins from me along the way to see how you are doing.

rmbaks -- My autoresponder shows you signed up but didn't confirm. You should have an email in your box from me (Denise O'Berry) with the subject "Response Required: Please confirm your request for information." Once you click on the link in that email it will take you directly to the download page. You might want to check your spam filters.

This will probably be my project this evening, while I sit on the laptop, with dog and hubby asleep next to me. Boy, my life is exciting, isn't it!!

Denise, I'll be happy to give you feedback, appreciate that you will 'checkin' (keeps me accountable) - email, PM or let's take it to the private forum so that I can share easily, okay?

Oh of course Jeanette. I'd be happy to have a discussion in the private forum. I also have an autoresponder series set up that helps keep you "accountable" to your progress. You'll be getting those messages automatically since you confirmed.
