    Hi Carlos -

That's interesting, because I've never gotten that feedback about my site before, and I do work primarily in Firefox. I just went and checked on three different machines with 5 different browsers and everything looks fine on my end. Dunno...

Thesis is a premium theme that "out of the box" is very plain. I have a developer's license so that I can use Thesis with as many of my own sites as I wish. When I develop a Thesis theme for a client it costs $40 for the rights, paid to Chris Pearson.

I think that answers your question.

*if anyone else's browser renders my site incorrectly please let me know!! I'm not able to duplicate it on my end.

Thanks Lynn. Out of curiosity what happened to all your members? Why didn't they come over to this new platform? I assume you told them all that you were moving to this new forum?

Not that I mind an aweful lot Lynn since, as I mentioned earlier, the number of members doesn't neccessarily indicate the degree to which a forum is a good place to hang out and get input (or give it). This little new forum you have is more active respecting the responses I have gotten than a number of other one's I belong to where the member count is up through the roof!

I dunno either Lisa . I mean it could be the way you intended the site to be and not bad formatting.

Today there is a different photo of flowers than yesterday's beach photo (no problem there .

Directly above the photo there is white space. Lots of it. The white space is big enough to accomodate the text that shows up to the right of the white space (text which starts out saying "Does this sound like you?" followed by bulleted points).

So in other words it looks like the text should have gone above the photo but isntead shifted over completely to the right.

The form and text below the photo appears immediately under the photo as one would think the text above the photo would appear (but doesn't).

If that is the way you intend it Lisa then it is rendering how you intend it (though I would say that it might be better to rework the page to not have so much white space immediately above your photo).

I am using Firefox version 3.0.13 on Linux (though the Linux part shouldn't matter).

PS. Regarding the licensing of the Thesis Theme where you must license it from them...you might want to take a look at what Wordpress itself says about the licensing of Wordpress Themes. You can look at http://dougal.gunters.org/blog/2009/...heme-licensing and http://wordpress.org/development/200...s-are-gpl-too/ for more information. All Wordpress theme PHP source code (not the graphics or Javascript) that makes calls to Wordpress functions to properly display the theme must be licensed under the same terms as Wordpress itself since such Themes are considered a derivative work of Wordpress itself. In other words anyone can use the theme under the terms of the GPL license just like they can use Wordpress. I have not looked at the source code of the Thesis Theme but it is almost certain that their licensing of it is in violation of how it should be licensed and freely available to all under the GPL (though certainly your work in being paid to customize that theme should be paid by your customers). You might want to ask them about that Lisa. Just saying...not trying to pour water on the way you do things with Thesis or your clients.

    Hey Carlos,

It's a work in progress. I've been doing the transition in phases, and getting the Elite Members moved over first. I'm just slow like that lol. I'll be archiving the original forum soon to read-only format, and putting out the announcement publicly.

Thanks for getting back to me on this Lynn.

I am kinda surprised actually that you are as involved in these forums as you seem to be. I mean being an Admin at a forum can really tie up your time.

In recent months I myself started a forum and while I have not had the time or inclination to promote it and am really not in a position to do much with it time wise...it did start to eat up a lot of my time at one point.

Something I had not really considered when I began it. So my hat off to you Lynn for what you are doing here.

Of course being freed up by all that passive income you are making...well...let's just say that such gives you more time to deal with things like a forum so you are in a good position to attend to it...but still, you must be one those persons with the ability to do 10 things at once .

It's great to have you around whenever you get a chance to be here.

LOL thanks! This is my 7th year as a forum admin, and I love it! It is definitely a labor of love, and not for everyone - and yes, the passive income and outsourcing are the big save. That's what frees me up to do what I really love to do... which is this

7th year!!!? Goodness gracious Lynn! Now I really must take off my hat to you!

I will never think of you as just simply an internet marketer putting on the forum Admin hat to drum up support for her business offerings and nothing more. 7 years as an Admin and your emphasis on making passive income in your business overall (there's nothing passive about being a forum Admin) makes it relatively plain that...well...like you said you are free to be an Admin for the love of it!

    That's great Lynn.

Thanks, Carlos! This is my 13th year in business, and I believe my 10th year publishing SSWT - which started as only an email publication. This month also marks my 5th year blogging full time. Crazy how time flies when you're doing what you love!
