Default Looking for thoughts/opinions on my video

Hi there. I have this video on youtube and there has only been like 10 views in a month or whatever it has been since I put it up. Now, I did not really do any keyword linking or anything because I wasn't sure how.

What I am looking for today is some opinions on the video, what could make it better, and how do I make it so that people will be flocking to see it and want to share it with others.

I am just getting into the video marketing aspect of this all and have to learn as much as I need to so, I thought I would start with you all.

    thanks

    Ok, here's a review.

The video you asked us to review is cute, but I liked your other video better, and would suggest you work in that direction.

There is no shortage of web biz info online, it's everywhere. What is much harder to come by are friendly people who know their stuff, that we can trust. I'd suggest using video to sell yourself as that person.

Talking to a video camera can be awkward. It is for me. I can type all day at a thousand miles an hour and be totally natural and at ease, but trying to say the very same things to a video camera comes off much less articulately. I want to go video too, so perhaps we might discuss all this together.

The technical quality of your video looks good, so that's one thing checked off the list.

Maybe put yourself in front of some neutral background, even a big white piece of foam board, so we aren't distracted by your office.

Apologies, I know your whole service is about moms, but I'd try to film without kids in the background. But, surely bring them right in to center stage from time to time, and let them be part of the story.

What I'm going to do, when I get to it, is set up a camera and just blab in to it endlessly day after day until it feels as natural as typing. Then throw away all that tape, and begin filming the real videos. :-)

Have anyone handy that could be used to create a conversation? Have any local students you could teach on camera?

Hope something in there might be useful somehow. Good luck, and please keep us posted.

wow. that was quite a review. thank you. I do feel uncomfortable talking into a camera. It would be nice to not have the kids in the background but I would have to try to find some time(and a place) where they are not around. Once I move next week into a bigger place I should be able to devote a space for video purposes and use your suggestion of a foam background or whatever. Perhaps I can even buy a bulletin board or chalk board and see if I can use that in my videos.

I was just trying that one out for the blogger site, funny how you liked that one more. It took less time to do because it was just talking. The other one I created pages and all and had to organize them in the windows movie maker properly then find a music background that wasn't copyright protected and disallowed by youtube.

I would love to get brainstorming with you and anyone else on video ideas and such.

Since finding out that videos are getting so popular and not too hard to make now with modern technology, I hope to get making a steady stream of videos to go with my article marketing.

By the way, has anyone ever tried any of the article video software? I was looking at article video robot but find it too expensive, then there is one by a couple of the warriors, and there is also an even cheaper one by another internet marketer I was going to try out. Just wondering if anyone else has done this and how it is working for them.

I watched the video. Please don't take this personally, it's constructive criticism: as a parent, I got bored fairly quickly (maybe because I am a man). Anyway, it felt like an advertisement. If you could dispense a bit of knowledge that people find useful then it might be a good way of promoting your site/business. Others may disagree, but I watch videos on YouTube when I want to know about something or learn how to do something.

    No shortage of opinions here.

I do feel uncomfortable talking into a camera.
But not so much you didn't do it, which is great.

I would love to get brainstorming with you and anyone else on video ideas and such.
I've made tons of nature vids, but that doesn't really count.

Here's the only real marketing vid I've made. See video link right under logo at top of page.

It was tons of fun to make it, but I can't honestly say I know what it accomplished.

I'm hoping to make some talking head videos for my sales pages. But, I don't really have a vision of what to do in the videos yet.

I'm wondering if there are people on YouTube who create sales videos for others. Seems there must be, but I haven't really searched.

Since finding out that videos are getting so popular and not too hard to make now with modern technology, I hope to get making a steady stream of videos to go with my article marketing.
A video blog? Fire up the camera everyday, and spend a few minutes telling us what you're working on? Kind of a video Twitter?

By the way, has anyone ever tried any of the article video software?
Article video software? Can you explain?

Yes, I've tried www.articlevideorobot.com - they even asked me to become an affiliate, and I told them, sure, if they gave me a membership. They answered, I could try it for free. When I didn't answer back, they gave me a month.

Well, I made one or two videos with it, but at the moment, I hadn't made more than one or two English articles, so I really couldn't give it a true test.

The videos got good comments, but I had to make them myself, with the help of the site. They wrote that I could just choose the article, and it would make itself. It didn't work for some reason. But that was several months ago, and maybe they have fixed that.

If you want an example, look at my video here:

You look good on camera which is one reason I like the second one. You moved around a bit since you were nervous but it wasn't a big deal. I didn't find the noise of the kids distracting at all.

As for the video you wanted reviewed, I found it a little long. Especially since I thought the music was really distracting and couldn't wait for it to be over (instrumental would probably be better). Otherwise it was good. I especially liked the close ups of your products.

    This is the key!

When I think of the people that I follow and buy from, it's PEOPLE that I know, like and trust. I got to know them first and video or even audio (like webinars) is the fastest way to let people get to know you online. Personally, I don't even read blogs unless a person (that I know, like and trust) directs me to a post or I find the post in the search engines.

Are you looking for software to submit your videos to video sites like YouTube, Vimeo, etc? Or are you looking for software to help you create videos?

To submit your videos, I like VideoBot by Incansoft. It's easy to use. It's about $27. No monthly membership. Just a one-time fee. In fact, they run a lot of sales where you can pick it up for like $12.

They also have a video creater called GFX Writer. It's not bad. Really it's for turning articles into videos. Basically it makes videos that are the equivalent of a PowerPoint presentation. It's inexpensive also, but is not going to be a tool to use for making super high-tech videos.

    Default Reviewing Ebookshack Videos

Such a difference between the two videos! Let me throw out a few thoughts, no right or wrong, just how each of these affected me differently.

    1) Clipart Video - I got bored through the middle with so many cartoon shots back to back. For me, I would cut down on the clipart - maybe 1/3 of what you are using now. The main emphasis should be the actual 'info' shots. That's what your viewer is interested in anyway. The quicker you get to the important info, the better. The clipart should just be sprinkled in enough to break it up a little and add some 'lightness'. (is that a word?) Overall, this video seems a bit impersonal for my preference but certainly a creative project on your part. I know you worked hard on it so I wouldn't trash it, but I don't think it will be your strongest marketing video in the long run.

    2) Personal Video - This was my FAV also! I 'met' you, saw your face, heard your nice speaking voice, saw your expressions as you spoke to me...and THERE is the key! You spoke TO ME like we were in the same room. All of those personal factors make a HUGE difference in whether I would put my trust in you to order a product or subscribe to a service. If I was a young mom, I would relate immediately, because you are working your biz around your children. Is it professional? Not really but is it REAL LIFE, yes!!! Many, many mothers have this same struggle every day. I definitely think keeping the 'busy mommy' factor in your marketing video is a good idea. Just be careful not to let it reduce the video quality or distract. I have some ideas on how to strategically incorporate the 'mommy' that I can share with you in an email if you are interested.

Some immediate suggestions: Record at night when the kids are asleep - just set up lots of lighting since you won't have any natural light from a window. Raise your camera or laptop a bit higher so you aren't looking downward into the lens. Looking level or just slightly up is always more attractive! Eliminate noise, ...stereos, tv, kids crying, dogs barking, phones ringing, etc. You can use a white board or a closed, solid-colored curtain as a backdrop. If you prefer, you can use a natural setting somewhere in your home. Find an attractive space but then also take time to 'stage' it so it looks nice. You don't want cluttered or distracting.

For me personally, I love video marketing. I think you'll do great with videos! The more you record, the more comfortable you'll get - I certainly did! I have some other ideas for you too, if you are interested. I would LOVE to help you with your videos, if you'd like, (no charge).
