I've been meaning to get back here. Just about a week ago I found a new site for pics that I like it is called Picapp It's free and I really like it so far.
There are also a ton of free images (as well as the cheap ones you can buy) on 123rf.com
Every once in a while I peruse the free ones on the site and save the ones that look like they will be useful. The free ones continually change.
My buddy Kathy Baker swears by http://www.sxc.hu/home
and there's always http://photobucket.com/
...should keep ya busy for a while!
I've just got to send out a great big THANKS to Lisamariemary for letting me know about the freebie images plugin.
I have been agonizing about how to add images to my site because of my lack of technical skills. I had been overwhelmed and frustrated when it came to making a decision about what to use to help me. That all changed once I downloaded the program. This plugin is soooooooo easy to use with the drop and drag interface that even a novice like me can handle it.
So again Thanks Lisamariemary, you don't know how much I appreciate it!
Blessings,
Christine
I use the Zemanta plug in on my blogs - that works really well and it is right there as you are posting. I also use a Google image (or video) search with the advanced search option of images labeled for reuse.
Thanks for posting the freebieimages plugin! I'm going to check it out right now!
Great tip about Google image (or video) search with the advanced search option of images labeled for reuse.
Thanks!
Has anyone mentioned PicApp? http://www.picapp.com/
It provides the code for pasting an image into your WP blog and they have images of well-known people and events as well as regular photos. But ...
On second thought ... what if you've added their code and then in a few years the site comes down?? Use with caution.
