Good question Glennette. I'd like to know from the opposite prospective: I own the program and would be willing to provide the service, but does the person hiring me have to own it as well?

As far as outsourcing works, you should only need one copy of the product. Either you or your VA. Copyright is to prevent the duplication of material. I belive using copyright law you can give your product to someone else as long as you dont poses the copy any more. I think you can actually sell your copy, just like you would with a book. You are just not supposed to have a copy after selling .
Thats what I had read once, but i'll throw in the disclaimer that I could be wrong about it
No the person hiring you does not have to have the product. But if they want to see it or use it themselves at any point they would need to purchase it.
What if the person doing the work doesn't own a license? I'm willing to provide the service but I don't own it. Would I have to purchase it or could the one subbing out the work allow me to use their license? What's the link for the product? Do elite members get a discount? I could kick myself for not buying it before the price went up.
