eTrafficJams has an interesting pay model for their SEO services. They are a search engine optimization company that offers "pay for performance" plans - meaning that you only pay their fee if your site is ranking in the top ten results each month.
There is an initial set-up fee but the rest of the agreement is strictly "pay for performance". If your site is not ranking in the top 10 results across Google, Yahoo! and MSN... then you dont pay for that month of their services.
