Best,

p.p.s. Yes, I know its not the $20 discount I was able to offer last time... but I did my best! π
I already took advantage of it and glad that I did!
Hey Lynn, I would like to hear your opinion on Build a Niche Store vs. Static Blogging. My understanding is that static blogging sites get indexed faster. I am debating which way to go. Any insights? π
I'm not familiar with Build a Niche Store. Do you have a link so I can take a look at the features?
Ooops, sorry about that.
Here's the link:
http://www.buildanichestore.com/
That looks pretty interesting actually - I'll have to do a more thorough review. Thanks for the link!
But to answer your question, they are two different products altogether. Static Blogging is a means of using WordPress - a blogging platform - to develop "websites". Or in other words, to create Web 2.0 interactive sites instead of "just a blog".
Lynn, why would they get indexed faster? Is it because blogs in general are loved by the search engines?
I am *very* close to getting this. Here's what's stumping me: I am in a course where we have to set up a product site from some template, register the domain name at the place the instructor says, and host it where he advises, too. It's part of our homework.
From what I read so far ... I'd much rather start with Static Blogging. Sounds like WordPress is the way to go for affiliate sites like those I'm researching to get started.
Of course, I've only found one product so far (in Clickbank), and I'm not sure it's a good one. How in the world do you tell if it's a quality product -- even after buying it which I intend to do?
There's one other digital product I found close to my niche, but this one may not be open to affiliates and, even though the info sounds good for my niche, it's written in such poor quality I'm afraid I'd ruin any chance to build credibility.
Hi Ana,
Blogs wont necessarily get indexed faster. They do tend to get spidered more frequently and bring in better search engine traffic - in addition to traffic sources from Social Networking.
You may want to do the homework as suggested for your current project, and set up your first static site - just to get your feet wet. But personally, I prefer to use the Static Blogging method of creating affiliate sites now - just for the traffic perks & visitor interaction...
Anyway - are you dead set on using a ClickBank product, or are you open to looking at products elsewhere? I didnt know if that was part of the 'class' you are taking or what?
Its hard to advise without knowing the details of your niche, and your business model. There are plenty of good products on ClickBank - but its just one of many options.
Howdy,
Pretty interesting course. Designing a WordPress site to look like a regular HTML site can be a bit of a bear, so anything to make that an easier process has got to be a plus.
As an aside, I was one of the first folks to purchase BANS, and it is a pretty slick program. If anyone needs any help with it, just drop me line and I'll be glad to answer a question or two.
Cheers,
brian
Is WordPress Datafeed Import an essential necessity to use with Static Blogging to control multiple affiliate links?
I see Biki mentioned Build a Niche Store. A lot of bloggers are raving about it this week. I'd like to know your opinion on it as soon as you research it more.
I rave about Static Blogging so much that I'm sure people think I'm related to the wonderful gals who created the course.
This was by far the best investment I've made this year.
You get the SB guide and cheatsheets, templates and plugins, etc. with the package - but the video training is where the magic is.
It's what? - 4 or 5 hours worth of step-by-step videos (like sitting down with a friend and looking over her shoulder as she shows me how it works) about how to use the SB method and EXACTLY how to set up the plugins and tweak your SB WordPress blogs.
It's worth so much more than they are asking and their support forum rocks!
π Robert
I agree Robert. I'm really happy with it myself, as this was just what I was looking for to manage my affiliate sites!
No, not at all. I use the WPDI for affiliate datafeeds - but if you arent working with datafeeds then you wont need that at all.
I'm pretty interested in it myself, so I have it in queue to review this week. Keep an eye out here at ClickNewz for the details π
I actually heard about BANS a month or so ago but never paid much attention. I saw Shoemoney mention it this week so I am interested π I did some research on it and I like what I see so far. I am an SBI user and building an affilate store is a good addition to the site I have. My thing is to have something easy to implement and build, that's it. I am looking forward to your review Lynn π
I agree - it looks interesting. I'll grab a copy today and publish a full review π
I am definitely NOT set on just Clickbank for choosing products. It's one of only two ways I know. I forget the name of the other one, but I couldn't find anything on it.
Ok, I'll make a static product site with the class, just for practice. I will be serious about it, though, and make one to make money if possible.
Well there are two ways to approach it, Ana - you can choose a product and create a site around the related topic. Or you can choose a topic and create a site around it - and then locate products/ways to monetize it.
Were you logged in to yesterdays Webinar on Niche Research by any chance?
I picked up BANS a couple weeks ago. Very nice software for eBay affiliate sites. I've been having a bit of fun with it and seeing some traffic already.
Hi Lynn,
