Are you attending the NAMS workshop?

NAMS stands for Niche Affiliate Marketing Systems, a 3-day hands on Internet Marketing workshop held earlier this year. It was the very first Internet Marketing event that I have presented for, and I was proud to be involved.

It's a rare occasion that you'll see my name in the speaker line-up for an event. I decline speaking at all more often than not, and not because I don't enjoy speaking - but because I'm incredibly picky about my associations. I am just not a big fan of what usually turns out to be nothing more than a pitch-fest. So the fact that I am presenting at the NAMS Workshop a second time around is saying something. πŸ˜‰

The one thing that made NAMS different than other events I've attended (and I've attended plenty!) was that the instructors and speakers really got involved with everyone. It was a very hands-on event, from workshops to breakout sessions, and even plenty of after hours mingling.

And I'm talking meals & conversations - no crazy partying into the night like you hear about at some events... just real down-to-earth one-on-one time with folks like Jeff Herring and Willie Crawford. Here's a photo of one of the smaller break-out groups I lead at the last event, for example:

As I mentioned, I'll be presenting again as NAMS is coming back to Atlanta this August. David took the feedback from the first NAMS event to heart, and has really gone over the top coordinating this second workshop!

There will be 14 instructors this time, along with half a dozen aides to help with any questions throughout the weekend. David also broke the workshop down into 3 groups, to accommodate levels: beginner, intermediate, advanced.

Should you attend?

If you haven't registered yet, now is the time to make your decision. The price goes up by $100 on Monday June 15th (at 11:59pm EST). You can register now for only $197, and also get in on the discounted room rate as well.

Yes, this price increase is 2 months in advance of the workshop on Aug. 14... but it will sell out soon. More than half of the reserved hotel block is already booked!

You can see the schedule of events, topics and speakers at:
http://www.nicheaffiliatemarketingsystems.com

You'll be hard pressed to get this kind of personal attention and hands-on instruction at any other Internet Marketing event. I can tell you firsthand that every instructor at the first NAMS workshop was devoted to one thing: making a difference to each and every person that was there. We all attended the sessions, as well as the lunches & dinners, and stayed available the entire weekend.

I'll confess that it made for a long weekend for those presenting. It's not easy to stay on top of your game non-stop for 3 straight days, including speaking and workshops and working lunches... but it was definitely worth it.

I signed up to do it again at NAMS 2 this August - and I really encourage you to be there. Make your decision by Monday - you'll save hundreds, and you'll be so glad you joined us!

Best,

p.s. If you're attending, leave a comment below and let us know. Last time we were able to coordinate room buddies (to split rooms & costs) and make other plans for the weekend too.

I look forward to seeing you there - it's going to be an awesome weekend! πŸ˜€

I would love to go! I'm trying to figure out how to make it work!! πŸ™‚

    • I hope you are able to make it Lisa. It would be great to finally meet you in person and get the opportunity to hang out a bit!

    • Come on Lisa. Bite the bullet. I'd love to see you there. You'll have lots 'o special friends and I know you really wanted to come last time.

      David

      • Lisa Marie Mary says

I'm totally biting the bullet right now David!!! I just can't get it to take my money! Ack! Will DM you on Twitter....

I did really want to come last time - you're so right! I'm so glad I'm just 'doing it' this time! Can't wait!

      • Hollye Clardy says

        David,
I have a room and might be interested in sharing. I saw your post earlier stating that you had a woman interested in a room.

  2. Tracy Roberts says

I'm planning on being there and bringing my friend, Nicole Dean along if everything works out well. πŸ˜‰

  3. @TraciKnoppe says

Yep! I'll be there! Can't wait!!!

  4. I am working on pulling together funds for this right now. I am really looking forward to it ... even though it sounds completely exhausting!

    • The first NAMS event *was* exhausting - even more so for the speakers and those involved in hosting the event. I know that David has rearranged the schedule for this 2nd NAMS event, so it should go a lot smoother. But a little exhaustion might not be so bad in trade for a full weekend with friends & workshops πŸ™‚

  5. Chris Cobb says

I'll be there and looking forward to seeing new friends again. By the way, when I called the hotel yesterday, all the discounted rooms were gone. David has added some more but I wouldn't hesitate as his rate is a significant saving. See you there!

    • I look forward to seeing you again, Chris. And it will be great to finally catch up since we've been missing each other so much lately. We'll have to arrange a time to snag Rob and find a quiet spot for some catch-up & brainstorming πŸ˜‰

    • Chris Cobb is one of the stars of the first NAMS - she moved to the front of the room, paid attention and had a new web business up within 30 days! Very proud of her πŸ™‚

  6. @TraciKnoppe says

I just booked a room, since the first set of rooms filled up. So I do have a room as well.

  7. Hi Lynn, Your comment about the pitch fest is ringing bells with me right now. Events of any sort seem had to come by in Australia let alone my home town of Brisbane. Yesterday and today I am attending "The ultimate Marketing Seminar" It is nice to be sitting in a room finally with a number of other like minded people and It's nice to actually hear from the likes of Brad Fallon, John Carlton etc. But a pitch fest it is...(sigh) It seems the speakers are all talking for around 1.5 / 2 hours yet you'll be lucky if there is 10min solid content in there. But I guess that's what you get for a free event!

    • I know what you mean, Glenys - I've found myself sitting through events like that myself. I think the speakers would do a lot better if they would actually do a content-based session and then offer something relevant at the end. But like you said, it seems that they are doing all pitch these days, with very little actionable content. The format is really getting old...

    • Glenys -

That's exactly the reason why I created NAMS. I like to make money as much as the next guy, but if you can't help folks, then I'm not for that! The very first seminar I went to, I watched the same lady run to the back of the room and buy every product offered. I tallied that she'd spent $7500 that day, so I thought she must have been a much too obvious plant.

Turned out that she was completely out of control and the organizers actually canceled her orders and refunded her credit cards.

But the point is that she was one of about 20-30 people each time a speaker said, "And today only..." I think they all went to the same speak-from-the-stage seminar.

Eventhough all of the instructors may use 5-10 minutes to tell you what they sell, they are there to teach and make you successful!

      Period.

That's why this workshop is selling out, the hotel room block has been increased 3 times while other seminars have canceled because they couldn't make attendance. I truly hope the selling-from-stage-days are over. But I doubt it.

      Wish you could make NAMS.

      David Perdew

  8. I so want to attend NAMS - not quite sure on the how!

  9. Nicole Dean says

Oh Lynn, you tempt me so. πŸ˜€

You and Tracy will both be there? How can I resist?

    • It would be awesome if you could make it πŸ˜‰ Are you still planning to be in TN next month too? I look fwd to catching up with you at one or the other if not both!

      • Nicole Dean says

        Yes to both.

TN July 17th with the fam for a week. I think we'll be an hour apart so should have lots of opportunity to hang.

Signed up for NAMS through your link and entered your name in the order form so make sure you got credit, ok? If not, I'll contact them and let them know YOU are the reason that I'm going.

Looking forward to seeing you, my brilliant friend!
        N

  10. Annemarie O'Bea says

I'll be there! The hotel is actually about 5 minutes from my house.

I had to cancel at the last minute last year due to illness, and David is graciously letting me attend this year. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

  11. Andrea Amir says

I am soo excited to say that I am going. I just used your link to sign up. You were actually the draw.. I look forward to meeting you. Then I see that Nicole Dean is attending also.. Bonus..

  12. The pre-workshop online training has started! If you havent signed up yet, you'll want to do that here:

    http://www.maximizecommunications.com/cmd.php?Clk=3066547

It's free, and it's open to everyone - whether you're attending the live event in Atlanta or not.

I'm speaking tonight at 9pm EST. Join in live!

  13. Lori Boyko says

Hi Lynn! Alas, as a starving Realtor, I'm not sure I can swing NAMS this time around even though I know it will be well worth it!! The flight & room costs put me over the edge even though the event itself is so reasonably priced! Of course, not owning a laptop limits paticipation, too!

I did want to say how awesome your pre-event training webinar was last night!! It was one of your most informative webinars ever & your webinars are great to begin with! I'm going to follow the rest of the pre-event webinars and keep looking for a way to get there--if not this time, maybe January??!! In the meantime, I'm going to take action and start an affiliate website of some sort--who knows, with all you teach, maybe that will pay for the trip! πŸ™‚

    • Thank you Lori πŸ˜€ I really enjoyed the topic, and appreciate your feedback on it. I do hope you'll make it, either in August or to the next one in 2010. It would be great to meet you in person!

  14. Gail J Richardson says

    Lynn,
I will be attending and I am so excited. Lynn I meet you at Willies BBash and I was so impressed with how you treat people that are still learning.I think you are a great person. I can tell that you truely care about people. I already have a room booked if someone needs to share. Looking forward to it.
    Sincerely Gail Richardson

    • Great - so glad you'll be there! It'll be nice to see you again and have the opportunity to spend more time "in person" πŸ™‚

I do know another lady that may be attending, and if she does she's looking for someone to share a room with. I'll keep you in mind for that πŸ˜‰

    • Hollye Clardy says

      Hi Gail,
Would you like to talk via phone? I have a room to share too--we might want to consider sharing with each other.

Can you call me tomorrow, 07/24/09? I happen to be off tomorrow and will be at home primarily. Call me at 615-441-6164.

      Hollye Clardy

  15. Hey - Just popping my head in here for a minute.

I am really excited to see so many of Lynn's folks coming back and those for coming for the first time!

If you have any questions about NAMS, just let me know. I'm traveling tomorrow, but I'll have iPhone e-mail with me. You can respond here and I'll get it.

Also, tomorrow's important. The price goes up Wednesday by $100. And we're closing in on the cutoff number of attendees. I wouldn't wait if I were you.

    David Perdew

  16. Hollye Clardy says

I have a room I can share with another female if anyone is interested.
It can help both of us cut down on our costs. Let's talk about it if you are interested.

    • That's a really good thing. People should announce if they have rooms to share, because quite frankly, we're WAY over allotment πŸ™‚ Not complaining though πŸ™‚

      David

  17. By the way, if you haven't signed up for the pre-workshop videos, you can do that here:

    http://www.NicheAffiliateMarketingSystem.com/webinar

You'll receive a special link in welcome e-mail. The videos have been optimized so you'll get downloads easily and quickly for Lynn, Jeff Herring and Kathleen Gage.

I'll have the rest of them fixed shortly.

    David

  18. @TraciKnoppe says

I have really been enjoying the pre-working webinars. They're awesome!! Even if you can't attend NAMS (which I think everyone should really try to if at all possible πŸ˜‰ ), the pre-training videos would still give you a lot of very valuable info.

Can't wait to meet you David, and so many others. I'm making my list of those I definitely need to meet and chat with.

  19. Michael Schultz says

I'll be there and I am psyched!

Can't wait to see all of you. If any of you are kind of waiting to decide, RIGHT NOW is the best time to make the decision - you will never regret it!

NAMS helped me in SO many ways. Thanks David and Lynn!

  20. Martin Sabel says

Thanks for posting that notice, Dave. Yep, I'm interested in sharing a room at the conference. I'm arriving Thursday night and leaving Sunday evening. If you're interested let me know. And Michael Schultz is right. If you're sitting on the fence about going, time to hop off on the "go" side. A number of the presenters are personal friends I can vouch for. The way Dave has NAMS set up it will literally change your life.

  21. Woohoo! Just bought my ticket now looking for flights from Vancouver, Canada to Atlanta! Really looking forward to meeting you Lynn and networking/learning from everyone at NAMS. I got the discounted room rates for 13th and 16th and have to switch rooms from 14th-15th to regular rate but I don't care as long as I'm there! Serves me right for signing up late hahaha! Thanks David for getting me in last minute and looking forward to meeting everyone!

  22. @TraciKnoppe says

Even if you can not attend NAMS, you should sign up for the free pre-NAMS Wednesday night video trainings: they are flat-out AWESOME! Such good information being shared.

    • Thanks Tracy - Glad you're enjoying those. Here's a heads up about those: Only the people signed up prior to this workshop will have access to them for free. After the workshop, they will become a home study course for sale.

      http://www.maximizecommunications.com/cmd.php?Clk=3066547

      Two weeks to get in.

      Ask Lynn how πŸ™‚

      • @TraciKnoppe says

I am so excited about NAMS, and am already leaving on Monday, but my flight leaves at noon; and looking at the schedule for that morning, I think I'm going to call today to change my flight to leave later so I have more time to stay and network and not be rushed to leave!!

Yes sir, I'm excited about NAMS! πŸ˜‰

  23. I think you'll be glad you switched it Traci πŸ˜‰

David, got your email & will get back to you asap on that!

  24. Hi, I am soooo looking about the conference! I'm glad this was made to be afforable, not the usual $1500-$3000! And it's only 2 hrs away from me. Yippee! I'm looking for a roommate. I'll arrive on Fri and checkout Mon a.m. Feel free to contact me directly at LadyT@TheBusinessCoachforMoms.com.

  25. Sally Sales Job says

Lynn sounds like so much fun and so much learning, but unfortunately far to far away to attend. πŸ™‚
