The NAMS Workshop is only 5 weeks away, and is almost completely sold out. If you've been sitting on the fence about attending, now is the time to make your decision and get registered!
The workshop takes place in Atlanta on August 14-17, and is a 3-day hands-on workshop with personal instruction on a number of topics: affiliate marketing, wordpress, article marketing, creating products, getting traffic, etc. One of the best things about the NAMS event, and what sets it apart from every other event in our industry, is that the speakers and instructors make themselves available to you throughout the weekend!
As you can see in the photo above, we hung out after hours to network and brainstorm. If you've ever wanted to have a face-to-face conversation with Willie Crawford, Jeff Herring, Kathleen Gage or even me - this is your chance...
At a time when attendance has been abnormally low at most offline events, the NAMS Workshop was almost sold out 2 months in advance. Amazing! Now, three weeks later, there are very few seats left for this event so you'll definitely want to grab one now if you would like to join us.
David Perdew, our NAMS host, keeps a cap on the attendance level in order to provide the best level of instruction and personal attention. He has gone out of his way to set this event up to be to your advantage.
The reason people are flocking to this particular event, and turning their nose up at others, is simple: we're all sick to death of the typical pitch-fest format! As one of the presenters for NAMS, I am proud to be involved and intend to continue my association indefinitely. This is a group of hosts and teachers, marketers and speakers, that all share my passion for teaching it right over taking your money.
If you've ever attended a large Internet Marketing seminar where the people practically turned their nose up at you, or spent the entire day trying to sell you something way out of your price range, then you are likely burned on spending 3 days doing that again. Trust me - I understand. I've been there myself.
NAMS is a breath of fresh air in our industry with wide open networking, personal attention, hands-on workshop format, content-rich presentations, technical aides to assist you with anything you need help with along the way, and a group of people that genuinely want to help you succeed.
This is an event I am truly passionate about. I've turned down several speaking engagements this year already, specifically because they asked me to come and pitch from the stage. But when David Perdew asked me to return to the 2nd NAMS Workshop... I agreed without hesitation. It's one place where I feel I can make a genuine difference, and where I'm in good company with other successful marketers that want to do the same.
I hope you'll join us. And I hope you'll flag me down and introduce yourself. I want to meet you, hear about your business or ideas, and get to know you in person! And I'd be happy to make personal introductions for you if you are looking to meet Willie Crawford, want to speak with Jimmy D. Brown's affiliate manager (Nicole Dean), or if I can connect with you anyone that will help your business.

I hope to see you there! π
Best,
p.s. There is also a free pre-training webinar series leading up to the event. Make sure you register, and be sure to listen to my presentation on building affiliate sites & creating long-term passive income!
Lynn - Awesome...
I haven't told you this yet, but when I make plans for NAMS, you're sitting on my shoulder and I often say, "How will this (new thing) go over with Lynn?" I love it that I can use you as my reality check and conscience.
We all need others who keep us motivated and headed in the right direction. I'm really thankful to have you in my corner. Thanks.
This next one is going to be a lot of fun.
David
Thank you, David. I am really looking forward to this 2nd NAMS event and to seeing this event continue on a regular basis. It has great potential to make a very positive impact on the industry, and on everyone who attends!
I so wish I could attend! It sounds like the perfect venue for learning more about Internet marketing -- learning in a way that shows honesty and sincerity toward the aspiring amateurs.
Unfortunately, seeing as I live in Japan, I can't get out to enjoy such events! π
To all those who can go: have fun and absorb as much as you can! π
Hi David,
Do you have have many industry events in Japan?
I've only heard of a few... but they are far away in Tokyo. And besides, even though I speak conversational Japanese pretty well, I doubt I could understand the more difficult business vocabulary. Guess I'd better study more! π
How long have you been in Japan?
This is my 14th year (my, how time flies!)
I'm so glad I got my ticket when I did. I'm looking forward to the workshops, learning, and meeting everyone. It's a truly unique opportunity.
I look forward to finally meeting you in person, Loretta π It'll be a great weekend. Glad you're attending this time!
Anyone interested in sharing a room at the NAMS2 in Atlanta. I'm one of the 12
Hi Martin - one of the 12 what?
You may also want to post your request on the original thread at:
http://www.clicknewz.com/1940/nams2/ You may reach more of the others that way, since there were more comments there.
Sounds like a place to be. Too bad I can`t do it. But still, thanks for sharing! Seems it means pretty much to you.
Hi Lynn,
I am sooo excited about going to NAMS. When I heard about NAMS, I told my husband I just had to be there. So I had been saving up money for a rainy day and had just enough saved for my NAMS ticket, plane tickets and about half of my room reservations.
Now I am ghostwriting for people and basically doing what I can to raise the rest of the money and hoping that what I learn in Atlanta will help me make money to put my rainy day fund back together with a little extra for cushioning.
Can't wait to meet all the people whose blogs I read and look up to.
Mary
Great, I look forward to seeing you there Mary! π
Hi Lynn, this sounds like an exciting event. As I live in Atlanta, attending would not be as costly for me compared to others who have to travel great distances to get here. I am a real estate agent specializing in HUD homes(government foreclosures)and plan to ratchet up my lead generating capability so I'll be able to partner with other real estate agents by providing them with leads. I am wondering if attending this workshop will help me accomplish this. Also, I must admit I know very little about affiliate or internet marketing and feel somewhat intimidated at the prospect of attending such an event with my practically nonexistent internet skill level. I know there is a group for beginners and there are pretraining videos, however, I wonder if the other attendees as well as the presenters would get frustrated and tired of the one million elementary questions I would ask. Additionally, I'm wondering if affiliate marketing would be a good fit with my real estate business.
Please respond as soon as you can.
Thanks
Hi Charles,
I noticed that you have a website, and I'm sure you'd like to increase exposure to your target market. That's exactly the kind of thing you can learn at NAMS! There is a group for beginners, and everyone is very helpful in sharing what they know or what works for them - including your fellow attendees. I think you'd find it to be a great learning experience.
As for affiliate marketing, you could certainly set up a pay-per-lead program of your own, if you're willing to pay affiliates for qualified leads. And on the flip side, I am sure there are a lot of things you could recommend to your market AS an affiliate to increase your profit potential.
When you get a chance, register for the pre-training webinar series and be sure to listen in to my talk on Affilitae Marketing. I got my start by adding it to my service-based business. The link to register is:

Let me know if you decide to attend. If you do, we'll make it a point to meet there and talk in more detail π
Hi Lynn, thanks for your quick response. When I clicked on the link for the pretrainig webinar series, I got error 404 Not Found. Would you please check this out and give me an update.
Thanks
It's working today - it may have just been down for a bit yesterday. Sorry about that!
We installed new security software on all my servers which got a tad too tight - trying to keep hackers at bay.
So sorry for the trouble.

I am so glad I got my ticket early. When I learned about the workshop I told my husband I really needed to go. I had enough in the business account to pay for the tickets and part of the hotel, so I'm busy creating Lenses and article writing to get the rest.
We decided to make it a vacation for him as well. He'll be enjoying the Atlanta area while I'm interacting and learning at NAMS then we go on to the Smoky Mountains for a short (but much needed) vacation for both of us. I'm sure I'll get plenty of affiliate ideas while staying there.
I'm really looking forward to meeting you Lynn as well as everyone else!
Carol O.
Great, Carol - I look forward to it π
I should be in the main lobby or restaurant on Thursday evening. There will be a group of us so we won't be hard to spot - be sure to join us and we'll get properly introduced π
Hi Lynn,
Quick question about NAMS. What type of clothes does one wear to an Internet Marketing Workshop? I have been to many business conferences and was told business attire, but I'm not sure what I should bring/wear. Is it business, business casual, nice but comfortable or casual/comfy?
I am so excited about coming to this event, because as of yet I have not made any money online. Since I signed up for the event I have been preparing all my "equipment" (most of which I already had), that David recommended in his welcome email, but have no idea as to clothes.
Thanks in advance for you insight.
Mary - Love your enthusiasm π
So, this is important. Be comfortable. Even though it's August outside, the room will be cold. This is probably a man thing, but I learned this for myself (you do what you want). There's such a thing as too comfortable. I went to a seminar once dressed like I would dress going to the grocery, wearing raggedy blue jeans and a tee-shirt. Very much like what I wear 80 percent of the time I'm not with clients. And I noticed I felt a little bad about myself at the seminar. Most others were dressed a little nicer. Still comfortable.
But I need to remember that these people in the room may also be clients or partners. I want them to take me seriously. I'll still be in Jeans, just nicer ones.
So, comfortable as you can be. As serious as you want to be.
Lynn probably has better suggestions.
Thanks David,
That's pretty much what I was thinking, business casual, just wanted confirmation. I didn't want to be in khaki's when everyone else was in suits and vice versa.
I'm looking forward to being able to put a face with an email address or website π See you all @NAMS
Good advice, David. Comfortable is definitely key, so skip the "suit and tie" for khakis or nice jeans. It's a really cool group of very down to earth people.
For me personally, I keep in mind that I'm going to be on my feet and/or walking a lot, so I choose my shoes carefully. Of course... I dont wear them half the time (haha) but that's just me. π
Hi Lynn, just wanted to inform you that I registered for the NAMS Workshop in Atlanta. This is my first IM event and look forward to meeting you and having an exciting and productive week-end.
Good to hear that you're coming Charles - this is going to be awesome!
Look forward to meeting you.

Excellent Charles - I look forward to seeing you there π
