You might also consider creating fresh content this month using Famous May Birthdays, if any apply to your niche. Obviously these are mainly US related ideas, but affiliates in other locations can use holidays and seasonal ideas that apply to their target market specifically.

Keep in mind that Amazon.com is still offering commission on their Gift Certificates, which has been extended to their affiliates yet again for a limited time. They are also offering a bonus on their cell phones right now too, which may work well in certain niches.

Even if you appeal strictly to a business crowd, you can run seasonal specials or holiday promotions. A web designer that targets the work-at-home-mom (WAHM) for example, could run a Mothers Day Special on certain packages.
