I read tons of material online from blogs to ebooks to websites to reports - I consume a lot of text on a daily basis. But deep down I am a true book lover, and really enjoy just about anything that comes between two covers.
I picked up a couple of good novels the other day to add to my bookshelf, and this morning was looking at some interesting books that came through email from Amazon.com. These are my picks for the 'weekend book order' so far...

I have Perry Marshall's ebook by the same title, and it's so good that I decided to grab this book so I could have it in print as a reference I can keep handy at my desk.
- The Age of Speed: Learning to Thrive in a More-Faster-Now World
I'm not familiar with this author (Vince Poscente), but the title caught my eye. It was just released on September 4th, and Amazon's email states that many readers who bought The 4-Hour WorkWeek also ordered this title. The gist is "how to thrive in our hyperstimulated society"...
- The Astonishing Power of Emotions
I found this book on the list of Hot New Releases at Amazon, and decided to add it to my order. It piqued my interest - looks like it may be a really good read (great reviews too).

My favorite self-publishing manual (so far) has been "The Complete Guide to Self-Publishing" by Tom & Marilyn Ross - but an aspiring author can never have enough knowledge and resources on the topic 😉 . This one comes highly recommended, of course - and by some solid sources in the industry.

As for real books, I read "manhood" by Steven Biddulph, a great book, one not only men should read. 🙂
Was recommended by a friend and now my brother is reading it. 😉
