ClickBank Now Offers Automated Recurring Billing

June 20th, 2007 · 10 Comments ·

ClickBank has just announced their new Automated Recurring Billing feature for merchants, that will allow you to set up products in their Marketplace such as membership sites and subscriptions.

ClickBank is one of the most popular options when selling digital products online. Not only will they process payments for you, but they also add your products to the ClickBank Marketplace and recruit affiliates for you.

This new option will let you set up products that require recurring billing, and will pay your affiliates a recurring commission for their referrals.

ClickBank Affiliates are very excited about this option and will be watching the Marketplace closely for new “recurring commission” products that they can promote.

Sell Your Products on ClickBank

This is a great time to move your product to ClickBank or to set up your first subscription-based product to sell online ;)

Best,

Afternoon Lynn, did a search on internet marketing blogs and yours came up the second listing on Google. I’m impressed!

I’m on James Brausch’s internship. This action was part of that program.

Enjoy your site! The main reason is the good content. It stands out.

Thank you, Shepard. Nice to meet you!

Hey Lynn, I’m thinking of starting a membership site (for a site I have about job interviews). I love the idea of affiliates earning commissions on selling memberships because it will allow members to supplement their own membership fees (or even make a profit). (People interested in job interview tips are often out of work with limited funds!)

With Clickbank, do you happen to know if there’s a way to set it up so that you have to be a member to be an affiliate?

    Thanks!

I am not sure on that, Bonnie - good question. From what I understand, its easy enough to figure out the hoplink and promote a product even if the merchant doesnt willingly offer it. All they would need is their clickbank id…

I’m hoping that our good friends at ClickBank implement some type of IPN similar to Paypal so adding and substracting subscribers can be done automatically.

I’m with Dave on this one.

One of the main reasons I don’t actually use ClickBank is because of their lack of IPN (instant payment notification) so the entire process can be entirely automated and verified without actual involvement.

I’ll be counting down the moments.

Finally I was happy when I first read this from Allan Gardyne newsletter. This is one of the features that is long OVERDUE.

Let’s see how it will benefit affiliate marketers like us.
    Thanks.

[...] Now that ClickBank is offering a recurring billing feature to their merchants, Affiliates will be watching for new products to surface in the Clickbank Marketplace that offer recurring commission options. [...]

[...] PayPal and 2C0 both handle recurring payments without a flaw. That said, I must confess that I’ve had my eye on ClickBank since they began offering the recurring billing feature. One of the problems with that feature is the lack of automation (or lack of IPN - Instant Payment Notification). [...]
