How To Make $1,000 With Teespring

Teespring: Sell high-quality apparel with zero upfront costs and zero risk. We ship directly to buyers, you keep the profit. Get Started Today...

TeespringI'm guessing you've heard of Teespring by now, but there's one thing I wish I had known before I signed up!

I totally missed out on the chance to make an extra $1,000 on it - and I'd hate for you to miss out on that too.

More on that in a second, along with what I've earned with Teespring so far.

First I want to answer a few questions about what it is and how it works, and WHY you should be using it!

Teespring is another GREAT way to make money online!

See that photo of me? I'm wearing one of my own Teespring tanks, one I created on their site and sold online.

That's my "You Had Me At Bacon!" Tee if you want to check it out.

(But do NOT sign up for Teespring yet! I'll tell you why in a second...)

Teespring is a cool site where you can create fun T-shirts at absolutely no cost to you, and sell them for profit. All you do is create a shirt using their images (or your own) along with your own sayings. It literally only takes a few minutes to set it up and start earning money!

The first time I sat down to sign up and create my first Teespring campaign, I expected it to take a lot longer than it did. I was pleasantly surprised at how quick and easy it was! I was also impressed with it as a fun new revenue source for my niche site.

That quick test resulted in a $253 payout:

teespring payout

Bingo! πŸ™‚

* They said it may take up to four days to receive the payout, but I actually got the payment straight in my PayPal account in a matter of hours. Nice!

How To Make An Extra $1,000

This is the part I really wish I had known before I got started myself.

If you get referred in, you earn an extra $1 per shirt, up to $1,000 in extra profit. I totally missed out on that by signing up directly! (Grr!) Here's my referral link: http://teespring.com/invites/pn7mtm so YOU can earn that extra money. πŸ™‚

By getting referred, we both earn an extra $1 on every shirt you sell. That's a nice win/win! And it's $1,000 you wouldn't have otherwise earned. Like me. LOL.

Teespring is the 100% FREE way to sell high-quality t-shirts.

Just design a shirt in our easy designer, set a price, add a goal and start selling! Collect enough pre-orders and we'll print & ship directly to buyers, you keep the profit! Click here and get started today...

A FUN way to monetize ANY niche!

You really need a variety of revenue sources, and you also need fun new ways to serve your market and offer them things they'll LOVE.

Teespring is a FUN way to do just that!

Since there's no upfront cost, and actually no cost to you at all, it's similar to affiliate marketing as a source of revenue. There's also no customer service to do, no shipping to worry with, no hassle period. They take care of everything!

You simply create, promote & get paid.

There's no cost, and no risk whatsoever, so it's super easy to test out. It literally only takes a few minutes to set up a niche product to sell, too - so why not try it out, right? I was pleasantly surprised at how well my first test went! πŸ™‚

As you can see, I'm using Teespring in my low carb niche where I have a blog and Facebook Group. These fun t-shirts, tanks & hoodies are great for ANY niche!

Teespring FAQ

Since I started testing this out lately, several people have asked me about it.

Here's what I've learned so far...

  • There's NO cost - upfront or otherwise. It's EASY and fast. They sell well.
  • You can offer a variety of styles & colors, including: tanks, v-neck t-shirts, tee's & hoodies. see this example (use the drop down menu to see styles/colors)
  • They have a database of images you can use in your shirt designs, and several fonts to choose from for the text. You can also upload your own images & image text if you prefer. If you want a unique design, you can get something designed CHEAP at Fiverr.com to put on your T-shirts.
  • Have a T-shirt campaign that does REALLY well? You can relaunch it again later, or copy that campaign and modify it any way you like, then launch it again. They make it super easy!
  • Your Teespring sales page is responsive and mobile friendly, making it easy for people to buy the product from any device - including their iPhone.

There are a variety of ways to monetize your site or blog, and you should use as many of those as you possibly can. At the very least, test a wide variety of things to find out firsthand what works best in YOUR niche.

There's BIG money and there's EASY money.

You should go for BOTH.

Take creating a premium digital product as one example. Yes it's more profitable, but it's also a lot more work upfront, plus ongoing management. Obviously it's a great way to monetize your business, and one I highly recommend.

On the flipside, Teespring is much lower revenue - but it's also MUCH less work! It's so simple to set up a campaign, so the money is easy. Real easy. πŸ™‚

After testing it out with great results, I set up another Tee to sell this week, with two more in the works. You really can't beat it for "easy money". Plus it's FUN!

I do wish I had known about the referral option before I signed up!

I totally missed out on the extra $1,000... which is a bummer. If you're just getting started, be sure to use my referral link so you can earn that extra money. It's basically free money. You can't beat that!

Have you tried Teespring? Or did you just set up a shirt to sell after reading this? Tell us YOUR experience - and share a link to YOUR t-shirt campaign in your comment so we can all check it out. πŸ™‚

  1. Awesome Lynn. πŸ™‚

I'll be using your link, and using this great idea for a local site, thanks for that heads up, it's a great idea.. I'll be back with a link to share too πŸ™‚

Anyone can capitlise on these for a local idea, less competition and a foot in the door to the local area. πŸ™‚

People are making the most of the local area aren't they? πŸ™‚

Great to see you too Lynn. looking fab, as usual... and um.. bacon... πŸ™‚

    Rob

  2. Patty Gale says

I am so glad you posted this! I almost signed up for Teespring last night after you posted your bacon t-shirt, but I didn't. This is exciting as I have a few ideas already.

  3. Barbara says

Hi, Lynn! I signed up for Teespring a few months ago, but no luck selling my shirt. How did you design the shirt? Did you use Photoshop?

    • Hi Barbara! I used the graphics and fonts they offered on Teespring to create my design, but yes - you can use Photoshop if you want and upload your own image, or have one created for you on Fiverr.com even. But they have lots of clipart and several good fonts you can use too. πŸ™‚

Sorry to hear you didn't see any sales! How did you promote your Teespring campaign?

      • Take advantage of this opportunity Barbara. πŸ˜‰

We could hit a good idea between us all to get you selling some. πŸ˜€

Wonder if it's possible to add a teeshirt as a bonus to something higher priced πŸ˜‰ something say, that would give you a bigger affiliate payout than the tee cost πŸ˜‰ Better still, a recurring payment πŸ˜‰

        There's an idea Lynn πŸ˜‰

  4. Barbara says

I used my personal social media channels and ran a FB ad. However, after rwading this, I am thinking about maybe changing the design and trying again.

  5. Barbara says

Robert, I am still wrestling with about 5 different blogging ideas. If I can choose ONE blog idea to focus on FIRST then maybe I can finally make some money! Lol!

    • I see... well, which one grabs ya guts most?
      Which one has most potential?
      Balance that out. πŸ˜‰

OR give us a hint, and maybe an idea sparks. Lynn probably been through alot of niche ideas herself so maybe even considered yours, ya never know what pops into Lynns mind πŸ˜‰

  6. Barbara says

Ok, Rob. You asked for it! ; )

    1. A Mommy Plus More: I have had it for a couple of years now. Haven't really done anything with it. When I initially created it, I wanted to motivate and inspire other moms by sharing my "life lessons" as a mom of 5, pastor's wife and trying to make money online via e-commerce as well as offering words of encouragement. But I thought, "How can I make money from that?" So I stopped it.

    2. Busy Moms Getting Healthy: Helping busy moms live a healthy life via eating right, exercise and other natural choices.

    3. Rocking My Locs: I have locs similar to dreadlocks and I was going to talk about my journey in getting them long and healthy.

    4. Beauty on a Budget: helping busy moms get beautiful on a budget by using Avon products.

    5. New Mommy Coaching: offering advice and support for first time moms by sharing what I have learned along the way with my 5.

My tshirt design was based on a popular slogan "Won't He Do It?" It generated a lot of likes when I ran the FB ad but only 2 sales, and they were from a friend of mine.

    • 1... Forget the "how can I make money from that" ... think more, How can I be what I want to be on that and get the following I need... without looking, I'd say just BE yourself... and wholeheartedly... others will relate to that and the "money" comes in anyway later.. you just build the readership first. πŸ˜‰ Give it EVERYTHING.. and more. πŸ˜‰ Post three times a week with a long detailed and enjoyable post...

2... have the second blog as a part of the first one. πŸ˜‰ just a link to it on 1. Do this one daily, short but fun and interesting post... food pics etc. πŸ˜‰

3... make this a youtube channel... πŸ˜‰ link to it from 1. Involve one of the kids a cameraboy/girl, they will enjoy filming you and you'll feel relaxed as they are there..but picture in mind your perfect audience member. do it for that one person. πŸ˜‰

4... Do this as well, link to it from 1. its part of your path πŸ˜‰

5... great idea, you share that experience... πŸ˜‰

Any thoughts? πŸ™‚ apart from my use of πŸ™‚

      • I should add... get a tshirt for the youtube... wear it! πŸ˜‰

also... as part of your blog 1... you could actually blog about your leaning curve on the experiences in the other blogs πŸ˜‰

  7. Barbara says

Rob, first if all, you are amazing! Thank you SO much for taking time to help me!

Now let me see if I get this:

"A Mommy Plus More" is my main blog. "Busy Moms Getting Healthy" and "Beauty On A Budget" are separate blogs but I have the links in my main blog. "Rocking My Locs" is a YouTube channel. "New Mommy Coaching Corner" is a separate blog all on its own.

And the whole time I can create tees for each of these blogs.

    Is that right?

    • I'm not, i'm no more more amazing than you.. πŸ˜‰

pretty much... look at it like a map.. πŸ˜‰

BUT you don't have to do them all at once, just do 1.. or 1 and 2... see how that goes but do it wholeheartedly. or just grab nettle by hand and do it all...

1... this really is your main one, as it's the hub the rest can fit around.
2... this is something that easy adds to 1.
3... yeah, why not, others may want to know how you do dreads.. so why not. πŸ˜‰
4...beauty on a buget, with 5 kids you got little choice lol, so it stands to reason it could fit under 1 too. πŸ˜‰ others like saving money too. πŸ˜‰
5... no, it doesn't have to be standalone, it can be linked from one too... after all...

the most important thing of all, the whole thing, all five centre around one thing.... YOU. so, be that you and do it wholeheardtedly... πŸ™‚

Deliver it all, in only a way YOU can.

A bit of Brit thinking. πŸ™‚

  8. Barbara says

Sorry for all of this, Lynn, but this is helping me SO much...especially since I have been wrestling with this every night for the past couple of months (to the point of keeping me up at night)!

  9. sorry.... i missed the teeshirt bit... sorry for all comments lynn. πŸ˜‰

    Um, wont he do it?

    do what?

That's a bit vague.. whats the aim of it?

  10. Lynn loves it πŸ˜‰

It is interaction on a blog, no-one who blogs dislikes it, unless its trolling lol πŸ˜‰

    Ain't that right Lynn πŸ™‚

  11. Fun discussion Rob & Barbara!

I think all of those topics could, and should, be wrapped up into one domain - one one site/blog. Make it a personal blog, rather than trying to go too topical and spreading yourself across so many sites. I talk about all sorts of topics on TravelingLowCarb.com - food, weight loss, motivation, travel, fitness - but I do it ALL on that one domain. Keep it simple! ALL of those domains/topics are ultimately about YOU.

Talk, be you, build an audience. Focus on the audience aspect. Once you have an audience, you can monetize - in so many different ways! πŸ™‚ *cheers*

    • yeah, that's a good point, you really could do it all from one πŸ˜‰

      • Barbara says

Linda and Rob, thank you SO much again for all of your help! You guys kinda confirmed what I wanted to do, which was try and combine all of this together. I am going to retarget my tshirts and try a different market.

Linda, I signed up for the Brainstorming Group so you are stuck with me! : )

  12. Fun! I look forward to working with you, Barbara. πŸ™‚ I would simply create categories for each of those topics, and move the content there. Then keep trucking. Don't make it too complicated. πŸ™‚ See you on the inside!!

  13. Well this is just dripping with awesome. A few extra bucks and a t-shirt about bacon. All winning. Thanks, Lynn.

  14. Rob Sutton says

Hi Have started a Teespring but not sure of the best way to promote, Facebook, Blog etc??
    What is the best link?
Thought why do all the best ideas come while you are showering?
    Regards
    Rob

  15. Betsy Baker says

Lynn, I LOVE this idea for a local blog I run. Was wondering if they provide a t-shirt for you to wear? I would pay for it but I would think ~locally~ that wearing it in public would be the best way to advertise. πŸ™‚

    • Hi Betsy!

They don't provide a t-shirt for you, no - but I ordered one myself. Then I took photos and relaunched the campaign with a photo of me wearing it. πŸ™‚ So YES, wearing it is a great way to increase your sales - and they make it super easy to copy or relaunch a campaign.

  16. Update: Check out my new Teespring Storefront:
    https://teespring.com/stores/low-carb-t-shirts

If you have at least 3 campaigns, you can create one too!

Be sure to use my referral link: http://teespring.com/invites/pn7mtm If you get referred in, you earn an extra dollar per shirt sold - up to $1,000 in extra income! πŸ˜‰

  17. Hi, Lynn:

Love the Bacon tee and the idea. You always come up with the smartest ideas. I was already a Teespring member, so couldn't sign up under you. (sorry about that and also sorry about not knowing about that extra $1 per tee sold) Great tip - thanks for sharing. Hopefully someone else will take advantage.

I created a quick campaign just now - to go along with my blog. See it below.
