  1. Interesting. A few months ago I invested $1,800 in a treadmill desk. My review? Not worth it. I figured it'd be healthier to walk while working, but it's more of a distraction than it is a way to become more productive.

I may try the massage chair route. I might as well enjoy my seated/resting position to the fullest... and focus on my health doing more active things like exercising.

    • I've looked at those a few times, Raymond - so I'm glad to hear your personal experience with one. I'm very one track minded (and not super coordinated, lol) so I didn't feel it would work very well for me.

I do have a Gazelle I like though, and it's lightweight enough to move in front of my desk while I watch a webinar or training video - which is nice.

As for the reclining massage chair... I totally love it - obviously. πŸ™‚ I wasn't sure what to expect given the price is so low, but it totally exceeded my expectations. I'm getting a second reclining office chair for my other desk, but I found one that's height adjustable because it's a higher desk without a pullout keyboard tray.

      • Would love to know more about the height adjustable chair. Loved your review, but I think that chair might be too low for my needs.

  2. Hi Amy,

The height-adjustable chair I decided on is the High Back Brown Leather Executive Reclining Office Chair. It's currently under $150 and the reviews are good on this one. The price dropped 6% since I put it in my WishList, so it looks like now is a good time for me to grab mine too. πŸ™‚

  3. LOL Lynn!

I love that chair. I sit with my fit elevated as I work too, but just using an extra foot stool. My chair has seriously seen better days. I'll be taking a look to get one of these when I re-do my office space. πŸ™‚

    • My other office chair looks sad - totally ragged, lol. And I use footrests under that desk too. Elevating your feet is SMART. Plus it makes you either sit up straight or slightly back, instead of leaning forward or hunching a bit - which is MUCH better on your body.

My broyhill (other chair) is still in solid shape, it just LOOKS rough -lol. I'll probably pass it on to one of the kids, or donate it if they don't want it. I'm getting the recliner in my comment above yours for the Media Desk - because that desk sits higher.

      sdf πŸ™‚ lol

  4. Hey Lynn...I'm wondering...where is your mouse in that setup? To relieve the stress in my neck and upper back, I've taken to working on my laptop some...in bed, nestled and propped up with a large volume of pillows. And, I've had to start getting some trigger point injections at my chiropractor's office.

Miss you! Maybe we'll be together again next year.

    • Hi Jeanne! πŸ™‚ I look forward to seeing you again soon. What's on your event / travel schedule for the rest of the year??

My mouse is on the pullout keyboard tray. I don't use it that often, but it's conveniently placed. This chair is great for laptop working too. I totally get why you've moved to the bed. An office setup can be really bad on your joints! πŸ˜›

Speaking of bed, my new mattress: http://www.clicknewz.com/12472/nodical/ is so amazing I may move to working in bed myself. lol. πŸ™‚ *cheers*

      • Lynn,
I have no marketing events scheduled the rest of this year. I'm deep into reinvention and planning mode. Things are going very well. I did sign up for the Marketers Cruise in January. Leon and I will have just had our 25th anniversary, so it's kind of a gift to US. Do you go on those? Kind of missed the August NAMS thing, but honestly, I've been so buried, I don't know how I would have gone.

        • I've been deep in planning & restructuring mode all summer too. πŸ™‚ There is no NAMS this month. I think the next one is in late winter or early spring. So you didn't miss out!

I haven't been on the Marketer's Cruise. I was tempted to go last year, but it's always so long (10 days). I'm not a HUGE fan of cruises as it is, lol. I need to give it a try sometime though. πŸ™‚

  5. Oh My! My wife would do want one of these! Serious consideration, she has trouble with her back and shoulders. Christmas pressie if I manage to make more ebooks!! πŸ™‚
