Opportunity.com Review (I signed up)

opportunityAs you have probably heard by now, John Reese opened the new Opportunity.com website recently. Everybody and their brother has promoted it over the last couple of weeks. I waited until the hooplah died down a bit, quietly checked it out and decided to subscribe and give it a proper review.

Obviously I am one of John's affiliates. There's no secret about that. So of course I wanted to review it for possible recommendation. But I also signed up to see what I could learn, and how I could benefit from the training & resources as a Niche Affiliate Marketer myself.

My thoughts? I'll give you my honest assessment...

First, to get an idea what John Reese is offering at Opportunity.com, watch the 10-minute video on the main page. There is no other sales copy, which I thought was a brilliant model. In the video you'll see the main resource in the members area, which is an affiliate program database complete with alerts and management features. There's nothing else like that on the web - period.

If you've ever tried Affiliate Marketing then you know what a chore it can be to locate the right affiliate programs, and keep up to date on new offers in your niche. I always recommend checking the main affiliate networks (CJ, Share-a-Sale, LinkShare, etc) and also doing a search for independent programs. But like I said, it can be a chore to try to do all of that manually - especially since you want to keep an eye out for new offers.

opportunity directoryI tested the affiliate program database myself and was very pleased with it. I found two new merchants within 5 minutes for one of my older sites - each from a different network, with very good payout rates. I even found a new bobblehead program! 😀

In addition to the database & alert features, which is worth $39 all on it's own, there is a training center inside with detailed training videos teaching practically every aspect of Affiliate Marketing. As you know by now, video is not my favorite format. Fortunately John Reese has a knack for creating high quality videos that get and keep my attention, and I have to admit... I actually enjoyed them.

I started at the beginning and went through each of the 3 introductory videos. These make up a very complete Getting Started guide for the total newbie - but are chock full of thoughts and reminders that even I appreciated. In Video 2 he goes through the "3 Main Affiliate Models" which I found very interesting. It actually has me considering some new methods (more about that in another post).

The "Art of Preselling" section in that same video was awesome. I had to go back and jot down notes on that one - definitely things I want to use on every single affiliate promotion from now on! And John is right about there being "no selling" in Affiliate Marketing. The merchant makes the sale!

Here's a breakdown of what you'll find in the Training Center (so far):

Let me just make an obvious point here. This is a membership site. The join rate is $39.95 per month. What you see above is what is available to members so far - there are new reports and affiliate training modules coming. If you join for only ONE month and spend that month studying just these lessons alone... it would be well worth your 39 bucks.

Obviously you can cancel your membership at any time. You'll be hard pressed to get this level of training at this price from a man like John Reese anywhere else 😉

I'll be honest with you. I tried really hard to find some shortcomings with Opportunity.com. The only thing I could really come up with was the fact that the training is done by video. Some people will love that, some people won't.

I'm one of those people that doesn't particularly care for video format, but I let it run in the background and listened in while I was doing other things. I do love the organization of it (outlined above) which makes it easy to go right to methods that interest you most at any given time (PPC, Content Development, etc).

The Opportunity.com videos really have me inspired, and full of creative ideas. I decided to get a copy of the AffiliateTheme by Unique Blog Designs (the Super Affiliate version) and venture into some new niches to test a few different methods.

Oh - and someone asked me about upsells and OTO's (one time offers). When you join Opportunity.com you'll be given the option to subscribe by the year at a huge savings - otherwise you can join on a month by month basis. You'll also get an offer to order a Starter Package: 8 professionally designed squeeze pages each for different niches, complete with free reports and a follow-up email series.

I'm ready to kick my Affiliate Marketing efforts up a notch or two, and this is just what I needed to really get me in gear. I ordered the starter package too, which should deliver sometime within the week. I look forward to using those, with my own unique twist & additions of course, to really put some of this good training into action!

One last thing. There was a 3-page download available during the pre-launch phase. It is handwritten notes by John Reese in PDF format. If you missed that I did save a copy, which you can download here:

http://www.clicknewz.com/download/johnreesenotes.pdf

Best,

p.s. If you want to succeed at Affiliate Marketing, give Opportunity.com a test drive for one month. Sign up, learn everything John Reese is willing to teach you in each of the training modules, and start putting it into practice. You really can't beat this 'Opportunity' for only $39.95.

p.p.s. John Reese shares my interest in promoting physical products as an affiliate - in addition to virtual products. It's nice to see solid training from a REAL affiliate marketer!

Discussion

  1. Thanks for the informative review, I will check those videos of John's out at the weekend!

The tools are clearly out there, and as you have mentioned elsewhere it's nice that someone like John Reese is supporting the Affiliate Marketing Community.

But even with a terrific resource like this, the overriding problem for a lot of people is having the time to fit it all in.

Newbies face a big learning curve and not much in the way of reward during the early month's or even years unless they are lucky enough to have a personal mentor.

Hopefully John's program will help people out in that regard, of course there are exceptions, but overall I think the people who the best chance of long-term success are those who by choice or circumstance are able to put in 'full-time' hours to their affiliate marketing business in the early days and month's.

There is a need to balance the study and implementation of all that information and I can understand why so many people find it hard to find success while holding down full-time jobs and dealing with the rest of their lives.

    • It requires FOCUS and BALANCE. One of the hardest things about being self-employed, and particularly with an online business, is achieving some level of self-displine. This is a good time to share one of my greatest posts on that topic:

      http://www.clicknewz.com/1697/finding-your-focus/

As with all things, you have to ask yourself: Does this take me closer to my goal, or distract me from it? If your goal is learn and master Affiliate Marketing, this is definitely where you want to take action - Opportunity.com is the best REAL affiliate training I've seen in years.

I'm not so sure if being able to commit full time hours is the key, or just being able to commit consistent hours. I'm reading a great report by Jimmy D. Brown right now (review coming soon) where he mentions that point - and I agree with it. If you set aside only one hour a day, and devote that hour consistently to progress, A LOT can be accomplished. Some people who have all the time in the world aren't near as productive as the person who HAS to make things happen in as little as 5-7 hours a week...

  2. Bridgett says

Thanks for a great review Lynn. I was very impressed with what John Reese had to say at the Mass Control conference. He put out some fabulous "teasers" for this program too - quite informative. I would agree with you in saying that $39 a month for anything from John Reese can not be too bad.

    • The price is definitely right 😉 I missed Mass Control, but my three co-hosts at IMTW all attended and I got a great recap from them on the last episode of that podcast. Sounds like it was a great event!

  3. Clay Franklin says

    Thanks for the review Lynn.
I will give it a try and see what I can absorb in month one.
I love affiliate marketing, so one more class may not be so bad since it is my focus right now.
Is it a lot different than the content in Traffic Secrets?
I missed John at Mass Control as I was only there for 2 days instead of 3.
    Clay

    • Good question- I think it's been about a year since I reviewed Traffic Secrets 2.0 but the focus wasn't 100% Affiliate Marketing like Opportunity is. I'll have to grab TS2 off my bookshelf and give it another read - it was excellent the first time around!

  4. I too was pleasantly surprised by the membership fee. Didn't take long for me to sign up. And it came at just the right time since I've decided to switch over to affiliate marketing. Perfect business model for someone with 7 small kids 🙂

    • Most definitely! What I love most about Affiliate Marketing is the passive income potential - very low maintenance compared to most online business models. I do much of my work on the go, whether I'm traveling or out on the back deck or whatever.

I'd love to hear your thoughts on it - have you had a chance to go through all of the training videos yet?

  5. Lynn thanks for the review I love your site and your newsletter. Just please Tell me how does a newbie buy and study then implement all of this different guru information? It seems they throw so much at ya you don't have time to learn how to make it work by actually doing. Next thing you know there is another guru package on affiliate marketing on your door step.
For the newbie, putting all the pieces together and making it work for $$$ is the hardest part.

    • Actually, for ANYbody, the implementation (ie the "work") is the hardest part. It's easy to buy, read, think up ideas, research, register domain names even... but actually making a plan and digging in to get the work done is where most people fall short. I've been guilty of that myself from time to time.

It boils down to self-discipline and personal responsiblity. Choose what courses & tools you need to accomplish the ONE THING you are focusing on right now. Period. Everything else can be filed or forgotten until you complete what you're working on at the moment.

IF you want to be a successful affiliate marketer, or want to become a Super Affiliate, THIS is the site you need right now. If not, and you're working on something completely different... PASS 😉

  6. Tina Williams says

    Lynn-

Thank you for doing such a thorough and honest review. We can always count on you for that! I was sold after listening to the Affiliate Training call from Tuesday but this review is definitely enough for me to sign up.

Affiliate theme looks good too. I have seen it but haven't really put much thought into getting it. Will absolutely take a closer look. Appreciate you being the Queen of KLT (with a extra big "T")

    @Tina_Williams

    • Thank you Tina! I'm impressed with Opportunity for 2 reasons, which usually do NOT go hand in hand: It is PERFECT for the absolute newbie (explains Affiliate Marketing & getting started in thorough detail) and it is an awesome resource for seasoned affiliate marketers as well. As a Super Affiliate myself, I am really glad that I signed up and already getting a lot out of it!

  7. Lynn,
Sorry for skimming the article. I like John and jumped right on TS2 and have to agree that this would be a great website to join for affiliates my self included. I finally landed my first customer and my focus right now is to build from there by focusing on a niche at a time. My question is, did you ever complete the second half of your evaluation of TS2 and if so where may I find it.

    P.S.
I would love to click on notify me but fear email overload having clicked there before on other sites.

    Thanks in advance

  8. Yes I got my $39 bucks worth, but there are many shortcomings. They haven't responded to 2 support requests yet (one video doesn't play). They've put up videos from other products that mention it's part of a cd and refer to links/pdfs that don't exist on this site.

The Finding affiliates section is okay, but you can't search for products, instead you can only browse (sometimes difficult to find where your product might be). And I thought they would show the hottest sellers but it's just a collection of affiliate links to other networks. I'm assuming this will improve but it will have to be fairly soon for me to stay a member.

I've also joined InfoMarketersZone.com http://bit.ly/86ibK (aff) and there's a ton of great info, process guides, checklists about selling products online and a forum where Jeff actually responds in details to my questions.

    • Hi Will - they just sent out an email update today - probably about the same time I saw your comment here. Did you get a copy of that? It addresses those concerns 🙂

I actually LOVE the affiliate offer directory. I didnt see any affiliate links in there - just direct links to merchants & networks, but I admit I didnt dig around for them either.

      • I didn't mean they had affiliate links (although they do in the training area). I mean they just point to external networks and don't allow us to search. One of the value propositions was finding current hot sellers rather than just being a catalog of products (I can do this myself by going to clickbank, cj, etc) - not sure if/when that will kick in. I found many more products in my niche by going direct to the networks such as paydotcom.

Their email doesn't fix the issues but did mention they are overwhelmed with problems. I did absorb the vids and got some good ideas from that.

        • I think I see what you mean. You can't do a search by keyword for example. I am finding a lot of great merchants across various networks - without having to log in to each network individually - which is a huge time saver. More features would make it even better of course, and I imagine we'll see that in time.

  9. Hi Lynn, thank you for the review. I have a question about the "Starter Package". Have you received the 'Starter Package' yet? On the Opportunity site under settings I have a red announcement that says the 'Starter Package' will be available 48hrs after purchase. It's been four days for me..I'm guessing they must be seriously backlogged. I've also noticed that the bonus vdo "Affiliate Marketing Cash" loses it's sound track around the 3'24". I've submitted a ticket for both problems and I think they must be backlogged in that department because I haven't heard from them for over two days.

Appreciate any comments you may have concerning this. Thanks again.

    • There was an email update today so check your inbox - it addressed all of those issues 😉 Word on the Starter Package is that it will be available in the next 24 hours. I ordered one as well so really looking forward to that!

      • Wow! What a coincidence. I got the email. Nice to know I'm not alone. Appreciate your reply. Thank you 🙂 Just to let you know, I'm going to join your forum. Again, thank you for the update on the update.

  10. Melissa Ingold says

Ack, another item to add to my wish list, lol! Thanks for the honest review Lynn, I'll certainly check it out further...the affiliate program database really got my attention.

    • I'm making good use of it myself! I also got the starter package and am going through the training videos. All that alone is well worth the first month, and of course I know I can cancel anytime if/when I decide I'm no longer using it.

I like this MUCH better than a $997 course 😉

  11. Great review Lyn, if you say its good then I will give it a go.

  12. Ken Lyons says

    Hi, Lynn.

Interesting stuff for affiliates on oppoutunity.com. Never heard of it.

In the training center, there are a list of tools for keyword research, but I feel John is missing an important one that he should look into adding to the list.

WordStream - Keyword management tool for keyword discovery, keyword suggestion, keyword grouping, keyword analytics, search marketing work flow, with the ability to act on keyword data for PPC and SEO.

    http://www.wordstream.com

As a busy affiliate, WordStream has taken my productivity to new heights. It's a real time saver, giving me more time to devote to higher level, revenue stream stuff.

Anyway, pass it along to John to check out.

    Cheers!
    Ken

    • Thanks for the link Ken - I'll definitely check that out. I know that John is adding more resources & training material to the site as we speak (just received an email update on that yesterday).

There are SO many tools & resources that it can get insanely overwhelming to test them all or figure out which set you should use. I appreciate the simplicity of what is offered, or the lack of overwhelm I should say.

  13. Mary McRae says

I'm a newbie that's been trying to figure out how to get into Affiliate Marketing - I saw Opportunity.com but wanted to hear what others were saying first and waited for your review. I joined up based on what you had to say and planning on spending serious time this weekend with the videos. Maybe by starting a few days later than everyone else I'll avoid some of the problems everyone is encountering!

    • If you are just getting started, you'll find this is PERFECT for you. I like the fact that it covers the basics, but is also great for seasoned affiliate marketers too.

I am not personally experiencing any major problems. There is a delay on the Starter Package I ordered when I joined, but that's not a bother for me (I wasn't ready to dig in with it quite yet anyway).

  14. @TraciKnoppe says

    Hi Lynn
I have not joined Opportunity.com, and while your review & advice is always valued and appreciated, for me - at this time - I'm going to pass for two main reasons:

    1. I'm focusing on my own project I'm getting ready to launch on June 1st. So that's all consuming for me right now.

    2. More importantly, I have been disappointed with other membership sites I have joined recently (some from well known 'gurus') that failed to deliver what was hyped and what I would have expected, considering the cost.

However, once I get past June 1st, should your opinion of Opportunity.com remain as high, and the content equally as valuable, I may reconsider and join at that time. 🙂

    • I think that's a fabulous idea, Traci. It really pays to stay focused and that's exactly what I would expect anyone to do. I always say... Only join/purchase what you need RIGHT NOW to accomplish the ONE thing you are focusing on. If Affiliate Marketing is not it (at the moment) this is a definite pass - or at least "hold" 😉

  15. Mary Gallagher says

Gotta say, Lynn, I appreciate your encouragement to stay focused with targets always in mind. I also know that when you recommend something, it is well worth whatever price or time is involved with the investment.

Whether I make a decision to tackle the learning curve and do this now or later, (as affiliate marketing the smart way is definitely is one of my goals,) thank you for presenting us with the best resources available to those who recognize long term quality. I appreciate your objectivity.

    best for now,
    Mary

    • Thank you Mary. Just like anyone else, I struggle with FOCUS too. Especially considering I am reviewing so many different products on so many different topics at any given time. That is a big part of my model in the IM Niche of course, but in addition to that I have my own personal focus with my niche affiliate sites (outside of IM). I know all too well what it takes to keep things moving forward 😉

You're doing fabulous! Just keep applying that filter and making decisions that are right for YOU and your goals!

  16. Gary Hudecek says

    Hi Lynn,
Thanks for the great in-depth review.
I do have a question for you though.
As someone pretty new to affiliate marketing, which program would you say is better for me to use. Opportunity.com or Crowd Mountain?
    Thanks again!

    • I haven't reviewed Crowd Mountain so I can't give a true comparison. I do love Michelle MacPhearson. She's one of my co-host's on the IMTW podcast 😉 That said, I've followed John Reese for years (I was his affiliate for one of his very first products almost 10 years ago!) and am a big fan of Traffic Secrets 2.0...

Hopefully I'll have a chance to review CrowdMountain in the coming months as well, as my primary focus is expanding my collection of niche affiliate sites.

I'm not sure what the price is for CM, but for $39/month you can't go wrong with Opportunity.com even if you sign up for ONE month and go through the current training modules.

  17. Elizabeth says

    Hi Lynn,
I'm new to affiliate marketing and I'm actually coming at it from the other end: I'm a person who has a service and I want to offer an affiliate program for my clients so they can receive referral fees.

Do you think John's program would be beneficial for someone like me?

    Thanks so much,
    Elizabeth

  18. Dennis Edell says

OK I didn't read all the comments, so I apologize if this is repeated...

Are the ids downloadabl for future "my time" viewing? Or even beter, able to be transferred to something portable?

    • No, you cant download them. Which makes sense, considering people would share them or put them on the black market if you could. BUT, I can log in from my mobile and view anything inside the Opportunity site on the go. I use a Samsung Omnia (touchscreen w/3G) but any mobile with access would work I'm sure.

As for "my time" viewing, I just log into the site anytime I want to read the new updates or view the videos, or access the affiliate database.

  19. Dennis Edell says

    Vids - not ids 🙂

  20. Gary Ogden says

    Lynn,
Thaks for the review, unlike others just copying and pasting text and then promoting a link!
I really can't remember how I stumbled upon Opportunity dot com but I am glad I did.
I am one of the thousands who work hard everyday and always looking for that one "offer". I must admit the video albeit plain - grabbed my attention.

I have been inundated with similar $39.95 membership sites for years now.
Stuck out here in the United Kingdom I have been online for years and never made a penny. I tried elottery which was excellent when it started and gave me such a "buzz" to get started but couldnt get anyone to sign up. It cost me the same as opportunity.com will.

I say will because I have to wait until the end of the month - pay day to start my investment.

I can see myself putting 100% into this site, especially with all the freebies I have been offered through a link I found.

Question: what is the Starter Package you mentioned? I thought for the price they would give you Squeeze Pages?!!!

As a complete beginner in affiliate Marketing will they teach me how to get traffic and build an email list as this has been my downfall.

Look forward to anyones responses but must get to bed it's 2300 here!
The only reason I posted this was because its nice to hear other REAL people starting out and making the effort.

p.s. I may start an unofficial opportunity.com forum for the likes of us!

    Gary

    • After reading lots of reviews about this offer I am now in two minds if to join or not. Is this what its like when trying to get started or should you ignore everyone and go for it? I would like suggestions as to what has worked for other people please?
      Gary

  21. Hi Gary,

Opportunity.com is only $39.95/month. There are two main benefits to joining the site: The affiliate database which lets you search across multiple affiliate networks easily, save offers, and keep offers organized. And then there is also the training modules. Those modules do include list building and traffic generation.

The Starter Package is a separate offer and includes 8 squeeze pages with free reports to give away and an email follow-up series for each. Honestly, I can't imagine seeing that *included* at less than $40.

You said: Stuck out here in the United Kingdom I have been online for years and never made a penny.

Do you feel that your location has something to do with your success, or hinders you from being successful? I know many successful online entrepreneurs from various countries - the UK included. That comment struck me as odd, so I'd love to hear your thoughts on that.

As for Opportunity.com, you'll get out of it what you put into it. You could easily sign up for one month and go through all of the training material, and cancel before the 2nd billing - and you would have received more internet marketing training for 39 bucks than you could get anywhere else for that price. Period.

Ultimately it's up to you. But this is not a program you join and then try to get others to sign up for under you. It's a website you join to learn Affiliate Marketing so you can set up niche affiliate sites for profit.

    Hope that helps 😀

    -Lynn

    • Thanx for the reply. The starter pacage i was just surprised at the price especially for people just starting if it were around $50 then i would snap it up!
Being in the UK is a bit strange when all the offers you get are always in US dollars and the ads are very similar, the opportunity site/video did its job and hooked me. I understand i will get out of it what i put in and belive me i will be working hard on it. I know its not MLM and i am looking forward to building my blog. getting traffic, SEO, and then building a list before i even think of selling. That has been my downfall in the past - not having a list.
      Gary

      • Anybody seen Wealty Affilate .com? What is this like compared to Opportunity . com please Lynn?

        • Hmm not many replies! How many affiliate links are there behing the Business link section does the Opportunity.com program have please?

  22. I havent reviewed Wealthy Affiliate so I cant comment or compare, but I know that both include affiliate links. I honestly dont know how many affiliate links there are within Opportunity.com (I didnt count) but they were only in the usual places that I noticed: when something was recommended such as hosting for example.

Personally, I dont have a problem with that. In fact, I usually ask someone for their referral link when they share a resource or recommend a program to me over a discussion.

  23. As you know from my previous post I was not happy with the site or the horrific (read: non-existent) support. Having said that, if you're a newbie to affiliate marketing there are some good videos to watch, although they are taken from other products with references to non-existent content.

If you know how to set up a website and use affiliate links then there's not much value in my opinion. The database of affiliate links is ok, but many products in my particular niche are not there and you can't search the database - other than browsing through categories. It's not that hard to join a few affiliate networks like paydotcom and clickbank and search them for aff. links.

Partly why I was so upset was that I was thinking it would be a way to find hot sellers that are selling TODAY. So I think something like ppcbully would be better, because you can analyze what affiliates are doing, what ads they use, how long they've run, etc.

  24. I will be giving Wealthy Affiliate a try at the end of the month. I will report back with my progress.
    Gary

  25. Personally, I think you're totally missing the point - and that's your loss. Even if *some* of the content (certainly not all) was taken from other products and included as part of your Opportunity membership... it's still great content. And considering that John's Traffic Secrets product cost $997 (combined with other high ticket products he's sold or been a part of)... you're getting access to that content for less than 40 bucks.

I didnt have any problems with the support or with the site. The Starter Package took a few days to deliver, which was fine with me - it gave me time to go through some of the videos and get familiar with the database. What was your support issue exactly, and was it ultimately resolved?

I rarely ever use PayDotCom, and the only time I use ClickBank is in the IM niche (and only if it's the *only* option). So we're obviously not on the same page, or working from the same angle. I'm assuming this has been a profitable combination for you? What did you think of PPCBully - has it helped you with your style of Affiliate Marketing?

Partly why I was so upset was that I was thinking it would be a way to find hot sellers that are selling TODAY.

Here's a snippet taken from this week's post within the Opportunity member area:

"IGD, a team of experts dedicated to studying the grocery industry, say that the online grocery market will be worth £5 billion in 2012, effectively doubling in the next five years."

It goes on to name the largest online grocery store, and several other options for affiliates.

While you can't (yet) do a keyword search in the affiliate database, its easy enough to view all programs within a particular category or subcategory - and you can filter out all of the pay-per-sale or pay-per-lead programs, depending on your preferences.

So for example, I just logged in and chose weight loss, asked for pay-per-lead programs only, and found 8 pay-per-lead weight loss programs from 3 different affiliate networks - 2 of which I wasnt aware of. Ironically the one I just heard on the radio this morning is there, and is paying $30/lead.

If you feel like none of this is worth $39.95/month to you, then that's your choice. As a full-time affiliate marketer that earns a 5-figure monthly income... I know full well that just ONE idea or intro to ONE new program is worth thousands to me.

What is the next step up from Super-Affiliate ?

    Awesome Affiliate?

  27. Hi Lynn

I bought into opportunity.com at launch... and have been slowly going through some of the materials. I also got the starter pack since I'm a newbie. I did receive a blast email from John Reese saying he was going to show an example of a mocked up site.... that members can clone....I've been waiting for that for awhile... I think that's where it'll really pay off for me to see everything in action...kind of nuts and bolts, start to finish kind of thing. My background is I'm a graphic designer/multimedia artist and have designed some sites in Dreamweaver, but most of my work has been for print and video/animations. John's outline of doing a home page linked to a blog... linked to a landing page is where I'm having some trouble. I'm trying to use WordPress Direct and have purchased Affiliate Theme based on your and Johns recommendation... so I think thats more my issue at this point. I do tend to over complicate things for myself at times and I think that's where WordPress is giving me some problems.

However, all in all... opportunity.com seems loaded with information and as a designer... I like how it's cleanly laid out and very user friendly. I think for a total newbie such as myself... some of the training is cryptic at times and may not be as remedial for someone like me..that needs it. I do refer to your blog alot and I thank you for all the information you give... I first caught you on IMTW and have been a fan of yours since. I know it's going to take awhile for me...but I'm gonna see it thru... I so badly want to be successful at this one day ... and you are also a great inspiration.

    Thanks

  28. Thank you John 🙂

I'm not a huge fan of WordPress Direct. You can do a search on google "clicknewz wordpress direct" (without quotes) to see that article. I also bought the AffiliateTheme and look forward to digging into that in the coming weeks. I have set it to the side while I was working on other things, but it looks awesome!

You're not alone in over-complicating things for yourself. I'm guilty of it myself at times, and it's something I hear from others all the time. Sometimes it pays to step back from the computer, take a few hours to map your project all out on paper and really get your head around it.

It's not so much about following any one method to the letter. There are no blueprints that will work across the board, in every niche with every method. It's more about taking what you learn and creating a great visitor experience for your target market.

I hope that helps. I look forward to hearing more from you here at ClickNewz!

  30. Is the opportunity.com video transcribed?

I am deaf and I would like to know if it is accessible for me.

    Thanks.

  31. I've signed up but didn't really enjoy it. I found the user interface very clunky and the actual information quite hard to come across. I probably didn't give it as much time as it required, so make sure you do!

  32. I have been reading the comments and I am a bottom line kind of person can you tell me the typical amount of income generated on a monthly basis and how long does it take to acheive that and what are the most successful steps to accomplish that?

  33. Hi Lynne,
As Michelle mentions I too am interested in facts and figures. I am currently researching the affiliate marketing as an income stream. Thanks for your blog and all the comments it makes interesting reading. From John and Tony Robbins recent interview, having belief and certainty you can make this system work seems to be a large contributory factor to success. Obviously there is plenty of potential to make money, I would love to have a mentor who is willing to give back and help a newbie get started.
Look forward to your future posts.

  34. Louise & Michelle,

Please do join my forum - you are welcome to post specific questions there anytime regarding affiliate marketing, and I'd be happy to help you with anything that comes up along the way.

Bottom line - an active mid-level affiliate marketer can easily earn a minimum of $5,000/month, and that can be achieved within the first year. Most full time affiliate marketers are earning around the $10k/month range. There are some earning on the super high end of 6-figures/month, but they are of course in the minority. There are plenty of them, but minority compared to the number of active affiliates out there (a large number).

Join me on the forum - let's get you started!

  35. Lynn, thanks for the review. I heard you talking about it on IMTW. So, I had to come check it out. I had heard quite a bit about this product from others. But, I wanted to see what you had to say. There are so many in this space who I don't quite trust when they review a product. So, I wanted to thank you. I know this is a money generating venture. However, I really appreciate the fact that I can trust your reviews of these products. I know if there are negatives, you will talk about them. Thanks.

  36. Jeanette (jkgourmet) says

Lynn, my primary focus is AM. (you've seen some of my posts in your brainstorming forum.) I'm considering joining John Reese's program. I've joined your Elite group and like it, but wonder if it would make sense to add this one for a month or two. Keeping both memberships will stretch my budget and, more importantly, take time away from actually taking action and building a site. The video for this program is gone, so I thought I would ask if you still recommend it?

    • Hey Jeanette,

Honestly, I think you're already on the right track with affiliate marketing, and with which programs you'll need to join for your specific venture. I'd wait on this, and look at it again in the future once you get past your current development phase (staying focused!) 😀

    Lynn,
I tried and gave up with wealthyaffiliate.com i just found it too overwhelming with all the material which i found was just all over the place, the 8 week action plan had me pulling my hair out, i ended up just reading and reading and doing NOTHING! Thats where they have you, reading and researching with no time to do anything! Maybe it just wasnt for me. I am now looking at opportunity.com has anyone tried this or tried wealthyaffiliate.com Looking for something to get me kick started please, i have spent far too much time looking for an opportunity.

  38. Gary Ogden says

p.s. what opportunities do you promote and what else does your site offer as there seems a lot going on!

    • Here at ClickNewz, I share a variety of ideas and reviews and methods for making money online. What is it that you're looking for specifically when you say "opportunities"?

  39. Gary Ogden says

    Hi,
I have looked at a lot of stuff out there like you and everyone else probably has Lynn. I have decided to get the Super Affiliate Handbook and start from scratch. I have a clickbank i.d. web building skills, seo skills i just need to knuckle down and get something done so i hope the handbook will get be going, it does sound ok and a small price to pay for my investment in my future. I will have a look around your site/forum etc i need to stay focused on this project of "getting started". There are no instant fixes, no overnight projects, just hard work.
Thanks for your advice Lynn and everone else who has posted here. I must admit this site has been full of help and information by knowledgeable people unlike a site i have just ended my membership with.
    Gary

  40. Sally Sales Job says

Thank you for an outstanding review and its so honest. When I have some extra time ill will go have a look at the program in more detail.

  41. If I had the extra money I would have a look at Opportunity.com but I have got Rosalind's guide, Elite Membership at your forum, Click Bank on the go, a few Google Ad campaigns and am studying through Google Ads for Dummies. I really am trying to get my head around starting my own site maybe something for beginners? Not sure yet looking for ideas!
I could try writing my own report/s. I don't really want to get into the Squiddo lens thing of making hundreds of articles over and over, thats not for me!
It will all click into place soon and then I will have a base to work on.
    Gary

  42. I do not see the Video on John's website.

I hate reading , was looking for the video that explains his offer.

  43. I've never heard of the site before. That person is so lucky to get a keyword site like "Opportunity". It also ranks first page on Google right now for that keyword.
