Is It Ethical To Use PLR Content??

I just found this new video by Nicole Dean. A great follow-up to the recent discussion on using PLR in your Email Marketing Plan. If you've had personal concerns about using content with Private Label Rights, or hiring writers for your website or blog, I would love to hear your thoughts on the topic.

Check out the video - Nicole makes some great points 😉

I think it's only smart marketing to use PLR. Especially if writing content is not your strong suit. People complain that they might was well write their own if they have to rewrite it, but I often times find it much easier to say something already written in my own words than trying to come up with the idea in the first place. Thanks Nicole for the great explanation of PLR!

  2. I use PLR. And I write my own content. And I use ghost writers. I don't know where my business would be without any of the three. And I think Easy PLR is some of the best PLR around!

  3. Major publishers (New York Times, Washington Post etc) use PLR articles everyday. It is completely ethical and practiced across all information mediums.

    • Joe - you got your links all mixed up in that comment 😉

You can put your Twitter ID in the Twitter field, and your link in the URL field - then in the name field you put Joe @ Compare Dog Insurance and it will link your phrase to your URL 🙂 I'm off to fix it for you, well all but the Twitter link at least...

  4. I think PRL content is a kind of brainstorming. It provides with ideas, expressions and words. I use all that to create my own content.

  5. there is no way that you could run a major newspaper if you had to write everything yourself, that would be insane, although i do think that sometimes it's good to write your own stuff and throw that into the mix as well 🙂

Great video! I use PLR even 'video PLR' that really rocks and will check out Nicole's site and offerings for sure!

Totally ethical to use PLR and a great way to leverage content into conversion to vids, podcasts, reports etc.!

    Cheers, Maria gudelis

  7. I love Nicole Dean and her easyplr.com. I have used her plr on numerous occasions and no one has ever guessed it was plr. I just wish that she had a plethora of gluten free plr articles. Unfortunately, I'm pretty much on my own because there's not a lot of plr on that subject.

Well Lynn and Nicole - you got me - went over to easyplr and picked up a bunch of Nicoles PLR..

AND it rocks - very will written - I'm very impressed! Now to turn some of it into video and podcasts! cheers, Maria gudelis

  9. I don't see anything wrong if you opt to use PLR content for your site. Most blog owners use these to supply useful information to their sites.

  10. I dnt think there is any harm in using PLR content.I have seen so many big shot companies use it.

  11. I developed my own article rewriting app which is specifically designed to aid in the rewriting of plr content. Now, although it's not good to flood the web with content that states the same things but structured in a different way, it does help people with their online ventures. As mentioned above I also write my own content but for some sites I will rewrite content as it is quick and simple and does not require much thought process. I guess a balance between the two with yield greater success than not using PLR content a all.

I've used PLR to a small degree, but I prefer to write my own articles. I just think it works better on the sites I put up. As stated by Mary (above), I need articles on celiac disease, gluten-free info, etc., and that's not easy to find.

  13. I have been pondering using plr for a while now but was hesitant for this exact reason. I think that I will go ahead and follow through now because of this post! I can write my own content most of the time but I think this is good for those days that I just struggle to come up with something... Usually once I have an article in front of me I can change it around and really make it my own... Thanks for the post!

Using PLR articles without rewriting is useless. But if you rewrite them you will get unique articles in your own words much easily.

So it is good to use PLR articles for me. Thinking of an idea, and writing it takes much longer than getting the idea ready and rewriting it.
