The Lifestyle & Income of a Super Affiliate

super-affiliate-1As promised in my last post, I'm going to show you more of the “big picture” of my life & income as a Super Affiliate.

I'm a full-time Super Affiliate. For me, it's all about lifestyle. About working from home and raising my two children. Being a great mom, and creating the life I want to live - and one that I absolutely love.

I usually share that with photos. The photo to the right, that's me hiking the trails by the Rock Island Falls where I live in Tennessee.

Over the years I've shared a lot of the highlights from my mobile, work-at-home lifestyle. You've seen photos of me traveling the world, goofing off, trying new things. And just hanging out with my kids – whether we're flying off to Las Vegas or playing in our own back yard...

super-affiliate-2The most significant point, that you can't actually see in these photos, is that they were all taken on a weekday – between 9am and 5pm...

During a time when most people are stuck at work, at a job that they hate, making less money than they prefer to live on.

I've been there. I had a low-paying job, 6 of us lived in an 800 sq ft rented house, the car was always breaking down.

super-affiliate-3It was a struggle just to make a paycheck last the week. Those were tough times, to say the least.

Changed seemed impossible. When I did finally decide enough was enough... making that lifestyle change required dramatic measures. I quit my last "real job" cold turkey at the beginning of 1997, and started my first business.

super-affiliate-4My children were 5 months and 5 years old. This year they will be 14 and 19.

I've been home with my two children full time, running a successful home business, for over 13 years now.

But what I want for my life, and what lifestyle design means to me... may not be the same for you.

So today we're gonna do something a little different. Instead of just giving you a sneak peek into my fun easy-going lifestyle, we'll take a look at just some of my income as a successful super affiliate. Actual screenshots and real numbers.

That's what you really want to see, isn't it?

You want to know if there's really any money in this whole "work at home" Internet Marketing thing, right?

So let's talk Proof.

Real proof.

Here's a screenshot from my PayPal account, taken just a few months ago - in December 2009:

super-affiliate-proof-1

This does not show you my total incoming payments. It doesn't show you how much money I made online. It also doesn't show you how much of it I spent through PayPal which was over $2,000 that month alone. It doesn't include affiliate checks I get in the mail, or payments I received through my other payment processors.

All this shows you is how much I transferred out of PayPal last month, into my bank account. And if you add those numbers up, it comes to $10,300.

That's one month. December 2009.

Here's a screenshot of the PayPal payments that I received last year - during the year 2009 – totaling just over $80,000:

super-affiliate-proof-2

And how about this year: a partial month, Jan 2010. Over $31,000 in income:

super-affiliate-proof-3

Again, that's just PayPal, which only represents a portion of my online income. A lot of my affiliate commissions still come via check, some by direct deposit, and some from different payment processors (like 2checkout, for example).

You'll rarely ever see me talk dollar figures, or discuss my income. There's a reason for that. Personally, I feel it's irrelevant. The amount of money I need to maintain my ideal lifestyle may be completely different than your own goals.

Some people just want to make $1,000/month online for extra money, others want to become multi-millionaires. And there's plenty of people in between with their own set of lifestyle & financial goals.

The point is that you want to make money online. And my point with this post is that you can make money online. Good money. As much or as little as you personally want. I'm doing it, and so can you.

I know what you're going to ask me next, so I'll just go ahead and tell you. You want to know where that income came from, and what those payments were for exactly - right? The partial online income I shared with you above came from a variety of sources. I work in a variety of niches, across dozens of domains. I use pen names on most of my niche affiliate sites, and add email addresses into my one PayPal account to receive affiliate payments there.

The income sources include: payments for short low-cost reports I sell in various niches, affiliate commission payments from a variety of merchants, membership sites I manage, advertising I sell on some of my niche sites, etc. But the majority of the income I earn online comes directly from Affiliate Marketing.

I hope this inspires you. In closing though, I have to share something else with you that I've learned along the way. Money is not the end goal. Money alone will not make you happy. While that may sound cliché, I'm telling you that from the heart.

Figure out what you really want out of life. How you want to spend your time day in and day out. It's all about lifestyle. Then work backwards from that vision, and figure out what it's going to take to achieve and maintain that ideal lifestyle. That's where your financial goals come in.

Best,

p.s. I love my Super Affiliate lifestyle. While I've been involved with Affiliate Marketing for more than a decade, it was Rosalind Gardner's Super Affiliate Handbook that turned me into the successful Super Affiliate I am today. I continue to study and model Rosalind's methods, and highly recommend this $47 investment if you're genuinely ready to make dramatic life change...

Want to know something funny? I waffled over spending that $47 myself for more than 3 weeks when I first discovered her guide. It seemed like a lot of money to spend on an ebook. I look back on that now, and I laugh. 😛

  1. Thanks for sharing Lynn, very inspiring. I've heard many people just quit their job with no savings like you did while others did their thing part-time and saved til it's time to make the gigantic leap. What advice do you have for the person who has no savings & got the pink slip or just decides to quit cold turkey like you?

  2. Lynn,
I appreciate your showing of your income statements, but you really don't need to do that. The reputation you gained over the last years is so high that additional proof (screenshots) is not required at all and only could reduce your credibility.
In my book, Lynn Terry was the Guru without screenshots.
We don't need screenshot like the above to believe what you write.

    • I know that, Tom - and I appreciate your thoughts. But not everyone knows me as well as you do, and for most people - this is what it takes. Proof.

I'm willing to do whatever it takes to help people see the potential, and realize they CAN make a dramatic lifestyle change. I did it. And I'm on a mission to help as many other people experience the same...

      • Bob Moldashel says

Posting some of the income statements goes a long way in the credibility department. There are so many "salesman" in this industry and this makes a world of difference.

        Thanks Lynn

  3. Diane Dick says

    Hi Lynn

I can't thank you enough for sharing this with us. You are so right when you say that everyone has a different measure of success and how much "money" actually constitutes their definition of this. I really like the way that you have anticipated our curiosity questions along the way throughout this post, and this will certainly help me to move forward with affiliate marketing.

    Thank you once again.

  4. I love seeing the pictures of you and the kids when you show them off 🙂 I think I want to be Lynn Terry when I grow up.

    • I wish my son were not so camera shy... he's a beautiful young man, and I'm so incredibly proud of him. You know my story well enough to know too, that he was one of my primary reasons for working from home. Zack turning 18 on his last birthday was a huge milestone in my life. I'm grateful for both of my children, and for the way they pushed me to work harder and to achieve more.

  5. Hi Lynn,

What an inspiring blog post! I loved your hiking photo. I didn't realize you're from the great state of Tennessee (I grew up in Nashville).

    • I live about a 90 minute drive SE of Nashville. It's quiet here, and absolutely gorgeous! I love to travel and see the world, but I always love coming home to TN 😉

  6. Boomer54 Mark says

    Hey Lynn,

I started following you based on a referral from someone, now I wish I could remember whom...

I and a lot of boomers are starting to re-evaluate our ideas about suceess and start living a lifestyle that supports them.

I have read Rosalind's book and use it as a reference guide to help me on this affiliate marketing trek.

I have finally started to see some success, not to Rosalind's or your level yet. But I am having some success.

Love to read inspirational stories and just to know that all super affiliates started at ground zero.

Keep the inspirational stories, positive items, and the internet marketing tips flowing.

    Thanks for sharing...

    Boomer54 Mark

    • Thank you, Mark. And in case it's not obvious... I started my business at the same place as everyone else, and have simply worked hard to consistently grow my business over the years. Congrats on your success! Keep working towards those goals 😉

  7. Lynn
I think you are brave to share so much of yourself. I'm more wowed by that than by any figures. Keep being you.

  8. Thanks Lynn, You really are an inspiration. This is what keeps me plugging away.

  9. You have just inspired me to kick it up a notch with my internet marketing and get my butt in gear and just work it! My husband and I are getting a divorce and wow it's a bit scary to think that this is the first time I have been on my own and I have 2 children as well a girl thats 8 and a boy that's 4. I am determined to make as much as you doing this online thing.

I am going to get the ebook today and read through it and get started. Although I have been online for 5 years, I still could use some guidance to really push myself to make even more money.

    Hugs
    Kristina

    • I'm so sorry to hear that Kristina. No matter what the situation, divorce is hard and sad. As you know, I went through that myself 10 years ago. It really pushed me to create financial security, to work hard to provide a good life for my 2 children.

I had been working online for years when I first got the Super Affiliate Handbook too, but it was definitely a game changer. And I STILL read the updates Rosalind puts out (she updates it a lot, which is awesome!). Every time I read it again, I get something new out of it... and get super motivated & inspired. You'll love it 😉

  10. As self-revelation goes, this one's downright jaw dropping, Lynn. Now you have someplace to send those folks who are always pestering you to know "how much you make". For me it's at once inspiring and kind of torturous. I know what to do, but I'm not exactly there yet.

Well, that's enough here, gotta go get to work, now...

    • This post doesn't actually show how much I make - just a glimpse into one source. But yes, maybe it will satisfy those who are always asking. 🙂

I know that feeling too, because it happens to me when I'm reading similar posts from my peers. I know I can achieve more, do better, etc and that mixed positive/negative is pretty normal.

Here's to success, however YOU define it! *cheers*

  11. I love this post Lynn. I think its no sweat that you showed a screen shot, I especially love the photos, and your get it done spirit.

  12. Craig Scott says

Thanks for sharing! I've spent the past year or so researching internet marketing, and getting my feet wet with a few niche blogs. One thing I've found is that many of the so-called gurus are just trying to make a quick buck with worthless ebooks or subscriptions. But you set yourself apart be being genuine and informative. I love the fact that you're willing to share a bit of your life to show that the types of life changes you've written about are really possible. When you're still at the beginning of the curve, the whole process can seem abstract and hypothetical - kind of like winning the lottery! Thanks again, and keep up the great work!

    • Thank you Craig. You hit on an important point to Internet Marketing - and that is that you want to become a Market Leader in your niche. Not just another "seller". No matter what market you work in, you want to go all in and figure out the best ways to serve that market.

I understand what you're saying about "winning the lottery". A lot of people view online business opps that way because of the way it's advertised or promoted. But the truth is that it's a true business opportunity. I count myself fortunate to live in such exciting times, and to be part of this growing evolution! The opportunities are so open right now, for anyone with an entrepreneurial spirit.

  13. Melissa Ingold says

    Thanks for sharing Lynn!

I believed ya without the screenshots, but I completely understand why you decided to share them. Tons of new people come across the concept of affiliate marketing every day, and they tend to be wary about the whole concept of making money from home using their computer. So seeing that proof makes it much more believable 🙂

    • Unfortunately so many people have been burned, or lead in the wrong direction, that it takes something like this to put some truth back into it. I've avoided this for years for a number of (good) reasons, but I really want people to get inspired and see the true potential of online business.

I know you've experienced success online yourself, and you work hard to help & teach others about the opportunities. I'm sure you've seen some of the same skepticism, and it only seems to be getting worse. It's too bad really - the opportunities are endless right now, and the negative vibe in our industry is cheating people out of digging in and creating a fun & successful biz!

  14. This is very much an inspiration post. You have done such a great job to get where you are and I love that you are able to have those experiences during the regular 9-5. Very much something I am aiming for.

    • I love my lifestyle 😀 I love sunbathing on a Monday afternoon, having long lunches with friends without watching the clock, hiking the falls anytime I please. And I also love my work.

Of course, it wasn't always this way. I worked *hard* to create this lifestyle. Certainly didn't happen overnight, or even in the first year or so. But man... it was worth it!

  15. "So seeing that proof makes it much more believable"

    @Melissa Ingold
Proof is important, but quite often these screen shots are faked. Even gurus fake them.

    @Lynn
Don't get me wrong - I am not saying you faked your screenshots. I am quite sure that everything here is legit. Btw, nice post and inspiring story. Didn't know all the details although i read a lot here over the times.

And like the commentor at the top said:
"We don’t need screenshot like the above to believe what you write".

    Enough said

    • That's one of the reasons I've never shared them. People are skeptical, and rightfully so. I have only shared these things with my Elite Members, and with my group at the NAMS Workshop up until now. But I decided I'd share them here for inspiration and motivation. Those who choose to think the worst... aren't the top percent / action-takers I wrote this post for anyway 😉

  16. I want the affiliate lifestyle and I want it bad. But you know BELIEF in one self is so important and today I learned it the hard way. I found out a site I sold back in December 2009 for $1,850 has been making close to $1,500 month since then. I need to believe in myself and my abilities. Yes! there is always some degree of luck involved in things. But we musn't discount creativity, hard work, and plain old talent when it comes to the affiliate marketing business.

Had I believed in myself and my site creation skills, I would be PASSIVELY making $1,500 on one site alone today.

You're a talented, creative and hard worker, Lynn. And so am I. But I need to believe this.

    Link to site auction:
    http://flippa.com/auctions/90801/1500-in-PROFIT-per-month-on-HOT-Ereader-and-iPad-Accessories-niche

I have other sites, but none make that much every month on auto-pilot, like the one above.

To those reading this, "Believe in yourself".

    Cheers,
    Missy

p.s. Love the screenshots, Lynn. I knew you were banking big!

    • @Missy
why sell that successful site? I would keep it running.

      • She already sold it, Tom, back in December, 2009. This auction is the same site being sold by the new owner, who claims sales of $1500/month since he bought it from Missy. Assuming his representations are accurate, I can't help but wonder why he's selling it.

        • "She already sold it"
          sorry, mixed up the persons

"I can’t help but wonder why he’s selling it"
same with me - thats why I recommended not selling it - minimal support needed -> lots of passive income over the years 🙂

          • The reason he is selling it, is the same reason I sold it. To get the money up front. But my collossal mistake was selling it based on $200 monthly revenue, as I thought that revenue would go down some after Christmas.

In December 2009 (up until I sold it) I made over $900 with that site, but sold it based on $200 revenue for the reason I mentioned above.

I'm completely kicking myself now, for it.

Will NEVER do that again. That's why I said "have faith in yourself". I didn't, and lost big.

But as Lynn said, I did learn a valuable lesson.

To believe in myself and my abilities.

But to answer your question, he's selling the site to get the monthly revenue up front. As is the case, when you sell ANY business.

    • Faith and confidence are definitely KEY, Missy. It's great that you are discovering that. And there's nothing wrong with losing something if you learn that lesson. It was worth every penny. You're on a great roll. Just keep at it! Keep that faith, and just work consistently. That's been one of my strong points over the years: consistency. Between the tortoise and the hare... I'd be the tortoise. Keep moving forward! 😉

  17. Lynn - thank you so much for your openness and sincerity. My family (husband and two boys) have decided on a lifestyle and are now fitting "work" in around that.

I think the biggest challenge is not so much the money side (it hasn't kept me awake, yet!) but the social side; to describe "what do you do?" when it's a little of this and a little of that. Those stuck in traditional employment can't fathom living any other way. The second challenge is the isolation that can sneak up on you when working for yourself. I have needed to be very conscious about getting out and meeting people for coffee and other networking events.

    • I can relate to both of those issues, Michelle. It's good if you can focus in on one thing, and be able to define it easily. I get asked that often, and I say:

"I work online as an Affiliate Marketer. It's like a commission based sales job. I do search engine marketing, and earn a commission on any sales I refer to the companies I'm affiliated with."

They seem to understand that - sorta 😛

As for the isolation factor, meetups and events are great. I get out for lunch & coffee every chance I get, and also attend local meetups and events all over the world. Check out SocialMediaClub.org for a chapter near you - those are awesome!

  18. Lynn,

Even though I've known a bit of your story for awhile now, can I just share that this brought me to tears reading this. You ma'am are doing a good thing for so many people and for our friendship I will be forever grateful. Thank you for being such an inspiration to so many, but especially to your children - they are extremely lucky to have you as a Mom! 🙂

    Love and hugs!

    • Thank you Arika - you made my day 😀 I'll never forget you for the heart to heart on that big boat. Your friendship was and is a highlight. I look forward to more opportunities to hang out in the future (on dry land! lol).

  19. Mike Paul says

Lynn - thanks so much for sharing. It's very inspiring to see what is possible with an online business, not just with the money, but the lifestyle, which for me is the most important part.

I'm not in this to become super-duper rich, just to be able to live my life on my own terms, not someone else's!

    Thanks again for sharing.

    • I'm the same, Mike. Of course, reaching my initial lifestyle & financial goals put me in the position to set new goals - to reach farther and really decide what I want to do with my life. I'm in the process of doing just that, and it's a great place to be!

I'm really grateful for the everyday things. Getting to enjoy the sunrise over coffee. Taking care of my grandmother her last 2 years. Going on fun road trips with the kids. Traveling the world. It's all so incredible. You know I had barely ever left the state of TN before I was 30?! My lifestyle has done a dramatic turnabout - definitely worth the years of work I invested in growing my biz...

  20. MaryGallagher says

Your perspective is so refreshing, Lynn, with action taking and solid strategies as the foundation, & purpose and fulfillment as a value added feature of building on that foundation!

I really like the way you present actual examples of how affiliate marketing has led you to a lucrative flexible way to make a living. Not only that, but in making a living this way, there is a way to come to life even more...I call it 'gratefulfillment'. Thanks so much for sharing your wealth.
    Best,
    Mary

    • Purpose & personal fulfillment has been a big driving force for me over the years. There's something great about loving what you do, enjoying your work, and of course enjoying your life. But even better is to have a purpose to it all. Many people struggle with "the point of life". I really think you have to create one.

  21. I know screenshots can be faked, but seeing them from someone I know would NOT fake them is very inspiring. We all need a kick in the pants every once in a while!

    • True enough. I have no motivation to fake anything though. And I certainly wouldn't take the risk of being called a fraud. I just want everyone to know that their goals ARE realistic, and that it CAN be done...

  22. Arafat Hossain Piyada says

Thanks for sharing this Lynn. It's just inspiring one and give me a clear picture where I am and where I want to go and what should I do! Thanks for this inspiring small autobiography.

  23. Hi Lynn,

You know, a couple years ago I would have thought all your screenshots were Photoshopped and bogus. But I know better now. I'm making probably around 5-10% of what you are making online, and that's still a lot for a college student like me. When I tell a friend in school I'm feeling real good because I made a hundred bucks online in one day, they think I'm lying. Which is fine by me, because that means less competition for me in the future, hahaha!

But this post you made... I gotta give it up to you - best post ever made by an affiliate marketer. Whenever other AMs post their stats or earning, I always feel like they are hiding something or simply trying to brag to inflate their egos. Yours seems a lot more sincere and nothing more than informative and an eye-opener for people who have no idea how much money there is to be made online.

The past couple of months have been a bit demotivating for me because a few of my websites fell in Google SERPs. But reading this post has inspired me to keep grinding on and keep working on SEO and new websites. Hopefully, one day I can reach the levels of earnings you have and be a Super Affiliate. I'm not so big into blogging, but if I ever become qualified to atart a "Super Affiliate" blog, I'll be sure to remember this inspirational post and do the same for my readers.

    • Thank you - I appreciate your trust. Just for the record, the post above doesn't reflect my total online income. That's something I would never do, boasting or whatever. This is just a glimpse of inspiration, or that was my intent.

Keep working on those rankings & goals. Sounds like you're on a roll and doing great.

      Congrats! 😉

  24. Ellen Braun says

    Lynn,

Your post really serves as an inspiration for me. I appreciate how you describe the early years- working very hard and long hours, without glossing over the actual work that got you to where you are today. Your honesty and perspective is truly refreshing.

And your children must be so proud:) These days, most kids are more technologically savvy than their parents; is the situation reversed in your home?

Thanks for sharing; I'm going to take the enthusiasm in this post and run with it:)

    • Well... it used to be reversed. LOL! 😛 My son is my lead programmer, and Ann Marie is constantly teaching me something new. They just pick things up SO fast. And I am admittedly old school when it comes to technology.

Just when I was starting to figure out the VCR! 😐

  25. Thanks for sharing this with us Lynn. You are an inspiration to more people than you will ever know.I really enjoy seeing you with your kids and the wonderful pictures of where you take your walks. Simply beautiful.

    • Thank you Gail 🙂 I love to travel, and we go into the city a lot, but there's nothing like the rivers & mountains here in Tennessee. I had a great 2-mile walk with Slim (my new great dane) this morning, and my daughter and I are going down to the river tonight for a sunset picnic. For me, that's what it's all about...

  26. Awesome - and inspiring - post, Lynn!

Thanks so much for sharing this - I am going to bookmark it and re-read it whenever I need a little bit of inspiration on those days when it feels like I am not making any progress.

I really appreciate your honesty re: the 18 hour days, 7 days a week part. I think that gets lost in the shuffle for a lot of people - and it helps me to know that right now, I am still in the trenches, but there is light ahead! 🙂

    • Most definitely! You know, I actually enjoyed working those crazy hours. I was making what I felt was good money at the time, even though I was still in the development & growth phases, and it was FUN. I absolutely loved what I was doing. So that helped a lot! And without a doubt, it was worth it to get where I am today.

Of course, I took a lot longer than some, figuring things out on my own. It's my hope that I can help others trim some time off their start-up phase and go about it a little smarter. 😉

    Hello Lynn,

  28. James Holmes says

    Hello Lynn -

When I opened this post and saw your merchant account screen shots I could hardly believe it! Why? Because having had the opportunity to participate in your private mastermind community, read your reports, your blog and listen to your audios - I have a sense of your priorities as you have so clearly stated here.

I love it! Why? Because in this post you provide inspiration to a wide range of honest, hard working people who aspire to live their Internet lifestyle. The gift you have given here is priceless. If one wants to achieve time freedom and their ideal life style... inspiration is here. If one wants to earn tens of thousands of dollars each month... inspiration is here.

Thank you for your heart to sow increase into your readers. This is a post that clearly demonstrates for all of us what is possible. I really appreciate you and you deserve every blessing in your very full life!

    James

  29. Another inspirational post coming from you. Personally, I like the way how you share stories. You still manage to stay humble despite of your great success online. I totally agree with your insights here. You need to know first what lifestyle you want, then from there, you need to start working on your strategies in order to achieve your goal.

  30. Internet Venture says

Thanks Lynn for sharing your story. Lynn you said that you want to help. So how will I start Lynn? Any methods in starting an online business?

    • I recommend you start by choosing a niche that you can turn into an online business, and be super successful with. From there you can choose the best way to monetize it, while serving that market. Affiliate Marketing is one of the easiest and best methods.

  31. jamessamy says

    Hi Lynn,

I saw your screen shot and I knew you have put in a lot of hardwork to achieve the amount. It is not a easy thing like most ppl says "Quick Rich Method". It is pure persistence, passion and the will to do it.

That's why I keep coming to your site every day to learn and take notes because what you share here is your experience and lesson learn. As you said " IF I CAN DO IT, YOU TO CAN DO IT".

I will put in more time to learn and put to action to achieve some thing online. Thank you Lynn

  32. jamessamy says

Nice post and I know you have put in a lot of hardwork to be where you are right now.

The game is persistence, passion and do it with full heart.

I will use the lesson learn here and put to action. This is the best place for anyone to be motivated and learn. Thank you Lynn for all your sharing.

By the way, your screen shot is not necessary cause we know you Lynn.

  33. I enjoyed this post! There's so much "hype" out there that most seem like scams but I see your authenticity and you show that one can make an income online without all the "hype" and "scams". Thanks! sandy

    • Hype and Scams have been around for ages, and always will be - unfortunately. On the other side of the coin, you have the people that continue to search for the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow... keeping the hype & scam game going. It's hard to blame the merchants when they obviously have such a big market.

It's a shame it taints the industry as a whole. There are definitely great, solid business opportunities online! 😉

  34. Great, affirmative post, Leader! 🙂

I know that I echo folks when I say that a couple "gurus" totally turned me off with their attitudes...no matter how much money they claimed they've earned, I could not recommend them as people (and, likewise -- their practices...which follow from their person) to 'my' flock. That's important!

Even though we're not dealing with brick and mortar, we still have the right to be choosy about who we do business with, and who we learn from; and I'd like to think that character, manner, and evidence of success are things we can still be picky about : )

Thanks for being that 'and' including the screenshots - good job!
(she types, as she gets back to her study and application! 😛 )

    • Good point, Amy - I agree. This is something I take into consideration before I recommend or promote ANYthing. And even after careful thought, I've still been disappointed in the end a time or two. I try to stay on the mailing lists of those marketers, merchants or companies to keep one eye on things. I'm always ready to retract a recommendation or publish a note on the negatives if necessary!

    Hi Lynn,
Great post you have here very inspirational. I may use all of what you have said here in to action. And hope that maybe I could be like you too. Thanks for sharing this inspirational article.

I saw this post through the 5 star affiliate programs forum.

Like I said on the forum, I'm not a mother, but this article had me shaking with excitement.

Not that I would ever considering quitting, I couldn't think of an obstacle that would be too big, but it is very inspiring hearing a story like yours.

I got on your mailing list. If there is anything I can do for you, please do tell.

    Thank You-

    Matthew Zinda

    • Thank you Matthew & Welcome 😀

You'll find there are a lot of men, dads, women without children, and people of all ages here. We have a really diverse group. The one common denominator is that this is a group of action-takers! 😉

I realize everyone may have different motivation, and different goals, and I respect that. My circumstances really pushed me to succeed, and I know that played a big part in my success. It's one thing to want something. Quite another to operate from the position of wondering how you're going to put the next meal on the table - or how in the world you're going to raise 2 kids on your own for the next decade. LOL.

Whatever your reasons, get a "burning desire" for it as Napoleon Hill says. When it consumes you, it drives you to succeed. Great place to be!

I am going to print this off leave it in my car and everytime I go to work I will read it before I start work to motivate me and to help me believe I can achive my goals and dreams.

Thanks Lynn as usual you are a true motivator and very inspirational.

  38. I wanna be super rich and earn that much too! I'm just 21, so some day 😀

    • I don't consider myself super-rich, nor do I care to be. Money to me is just a means to an end. A tool in the process of creating the ideal lifestyle.

That said, the biz opportunity online does not discriminate against age, race, gender or any other factor. Don't let the fact that you're only 21 hold you back! I was recently at the Underground Seminar in DC where they had an entire day of "Young Moguls" presenting and they were all under 21 and ROCKING it online!

Thanks, as always, for your transparency.

You know, for me the best part of this post isn't the screenshots of your Paypal account, it's showing the freedom you have as a result of the money in the account. I think sometimes we focus on the money aspect instead of what the money really means to your life.

You got me inspired to look at some new affiliate sites I should create, with pen names!

    • That's really what it's all about... It always has been for me. Even with what I earn, I drive a paid off car and live in a nice but relatively conservative home. I never want to become a slave to money OR assets. Financial freedom to me means lack of financial stress, and it's a great place to be!

Thanks for sharing this Lynn. You have no idea how much I crave your lifestyle. I would LOVE to quit this job, which I do hate, and stay at home with my 2 year old and possibly have another child. I would be able to have a child if the income was there but right now 1 is all we can afford. I do have the Super Affiliate Handbook and making my way through it. If you have any more suggestions I so would appreciate it. I spend a lot of time on my site trying to get it profitable. Thanks again.

  41. Lynn,

Nothing much more I could add to your list of fans. 🙂

Like many, I've been working at AM for a few years. The overload of info had me "stuck" for quite sometime. Then the light bulb went on: just do ONE thing and keep at it. There were times I felt like throwing in the towel, lots of times, but knowing of real people like you who are living the Super Affiliate lifestyle and dream, I refuse to give up.

As Mark Twain said, "I always admired a [wo]man who bites off more than [s]he can chew and chewed it."

Hats off to you Lynn and thanks for being such an inspiration!

  42. I'm convinced that you know how to make money and I want to learn more, I'm stuck in what seems like a maze and cant seem to make any money [very frustrating].I signed up for the workshop in Atlanta in august and am looking forward to being around live people that can show me what to do.[Desperately need live workshop]. Are there any live workshops sooner?

Hi Lynn! You truly are an inspiration and I do appreciate your sharing the screen shots, it is very motivating and real.
I am an Elite member and of course know what a "real" person you are - and am so grateful to have met you at the NAMS Event in Atlanta a couple of months ago, so I am a huge fan.
Knowing that you are such a genuine and sincere person and truly want to help others, and definitely believing that you make a great income and lifestyle online is inspiring - and for me, to see the screenshots does add another level of reality to it.

I love that you shared this with us.
    Diana

    Hi Lynn
I'm inspired, I'm inspired, believe me.
At the moment I'm happy to write a few quality posts, build a good blog and get known out there.
Not made a dime yet, but I'm reading your posts so who knows!

  45. Hi Lynn,
This is an inspirational post and has motivated me to follow in your lead and reach my goal of making $300 per day by end of June 2010.
Can you recommend some programs for getting backlinks to my website to increase their PR and hence the traffic
    thanks
    Rob

Thank you Lynn for another inspiring post. It seems like just when I'm about ready to give up on affiliate marketing or online marketing period, I read something by you and it makes me want to keep going. I think most of my battle is just believing that "I" can do it. And it helps when you talk about how you started out and show that it CAN be done.

    • That inspires me to keep posting, Gary 🙂

I achieved what I did under very challenging circumstances... and truly believe anyone can do the same (or better). My mission is to help as many people do that as humanly possible. 😉

Seems everyone I know is always trying to find new ways to avoid being interactive. Of course they always end up purchasing leads. I would let them tug at me before, but I intend to remain interactive, blogging and generating natural traffic, building my list as I go. I'll get involved with my list and share valuable content with them. I know how to generate traffic and am learning to multiply that traffic. This is what they want to know too. I should be able to build a sizable list as I go, don't you think Lynn?

    • Yes of course. Personally I would steer clear of buying leads altogether. You'll do well to build your own targeted list with a unique offer...

  48. Nice post and informative post Lynn. A lot of good information to learn and put action. As you have said previously, whatever learned must put to action or not it will be a waste.

Thank you Lynn. That's why i always come here to learn from you

  49. It's funny how people jump in and out, up and down, buying the latest not always greatest training materials. I know because when I began my internet marketing training I bought Rosalind's book along with a bunch of other stuff (and trainings) and for two years became overwhelmed enough on how exactly to become even a semi-successful affiliate marketer. In other words, couldn't see the forest for the trees. 😉

So, what did I do that made the difference? Went back to Rosalind's book with added knowledge of SEO and blogging and kept at at. I think that's the key...it's easy to throw in the towel. It's tougher to continue to learn and apply and stay the course.

Then people like Lynn Terry show up and they hone the internet material into a newbie friendly process; by sincerely helping people she employs a "pay it forward" philosophy. It cannot be true of all...but from my experience the women who teach others how to become successful are so much honest about the what, where and how of internet marketing, affiliate marketing, etc.

    Kudos to you, Lynn.

  50. I would love to earn that amount of money soon. Hopefully, I could finally make up my mind and do everything what it takes to have a successful business online. I must admit that up to now, I still need to do something to make everything possible. Of course, enough money for a little investment is also what I need.
