A Day At Okaloosa Island Beaches

I absolutely love my lifestyle.

While all the gurus are sitting in their basement offices in their bathrobes, crafting those big red headlines... I'm out there making them all true. ๐Ÿ˜€

I flew to Florida to spend the day on the beach at Okaloosa Island, for Willie Crawford's annual beach meet-up. I had a great day with friends - with lots of laughs, fun conversation and great food. It was a very laid back casual meet-up, and I'll definitely be going again in the future!

I flew in that morning, and flew back home the next morning. The cool thing is that the entire day I was hanging out with friends on the beach... I was making affiliate sales online across multiple sites. That's passive income at it's best.

See: The Lifestyle & Income of a Super Affiliate

I wake up every day grateful for the opportunity to work online, and create a lifestyle that allows me to fly to Australia for the weekend on a whim, or spend ~$700 just to fly down to the beach for a day.

This opportunity is not available just for the rich or the lucky. I was broke and seriously UNlucky when I got started. If this is the lifestyle you want, and you're having a hard time achieving it, I would love to help you get to the next step.

Speaking of, when I arrived in Florida I took a cab from the airport to my hotel. The driver, John, was a nice fellow and I was the only one in the cab, so we had a nice conversation on the way. It turns out he's from Tennessee too.

I asked him how he ended up in Florida, and he proceeded to tell me the short version of his life story - or at least the more recent bits, 2004 to present.

The story made me sad, and it really stuck with me.

I pondered on that while staring out the window at the beautiful beaches, still listening to him, and thought of the chain of events in my own past. Life just happens, doesn't it? And it's not always so kind...

I used to wonder if things would ever let up, or if I was just going to continue to spiral downward from where I was. I always think back to this one particular phase of my life where I was broke, angry, frustrated, desperate and scared.

It was a hard time. I think it was the anger that got me out of it, pushing me to work 14-18 hours a day 7 days a week to "beat it". And I didn't give up until I did.

I often wonder where the difference lies between those that accept life as it is, and those that get mad and refuse to stay stuck where they are...

At any rate, it really made me appreciate the hard times I went through to get where I am today - because I truly believe it was the hard times that got me here.

Would you like me to help you reach your goals?

No matter where you are with your online business, whether you're just getting started or already turning a consistent profit, you're probably looking to put things on the fast track - or take it to the next level.

That can be difficult to do alone, without feedback or the support of a peer network. I know, because I've tried it both ways. My business really took off when I started creating a peer group, and having accountability partners.

I'd like to offer that to you...

The best way for us to work together is through my Private Brainstorming Group. We meet on the ClickNewz Forum, in the private area, and also have two webinar sessions every week where we do live brainstorming and member site reviews.

All you have to do is register at the forum, if you haven't already, and then upgrade to Elite Member through your user admin panel - or using the link in the Private Brainstorming Group area.

I would love to see you there. ๐Ÿ˜€

I hope you enjoyed the photos. I had such a great time! And on top of catching up with good friends, I came home feeling inspired and motivated - with some cool new ideas to work with. Including a new domain & niche to dive into this week!

Best,

p.s. About my Private Brainstorming Group - you'll find there's no big red headline, no sales copy, and no pressure to join. If you're interested in checking it out, join us, even if only for a month. It's an awesome community! ๐Ÿ˜‰

  1. LOVE the photos Lynn!

I wonder how many people actually really believe this is considered work. It's really hard to believe. And yet there's you, and Nicole, Willy and so many others living it. I can't wait for the day when spending $700 to take off for the beach for an event like this is no problem for me, too.

I'm getting closer all the time and that IS thanks to mentoring, accountability and sticking around smart people like yourself. I highly recommend your Elite group to anyone reading this and considering joining, I'm a member myself.

    • Thank you, Angela ๐Ÿ™‚ I look forward to seeing you at the beach meet-up next year! You're right, there are SO many people "living the dream". And they are normal everyday people that worked hard and worked smart to make it happen...

  2. AAhhh ... The wild and wacky IMers loose on the beach! Will the island of Okaloosa ever be the same again? LOL

Kool to see you all having a good time.

Too many people still think you have to be lucky to be successful online these days. All it takes is some sort of plan of action, an investment of some time (and a little bit of money) and taking personal responsibilty for what you do and don't do. AND then "work heck out of it"!

You're a great example of a truly successful IMer who has done what it takes.

    Have Fun!

  3. Nice pics lynn!!

  4. I was hopping we would get to see Lynn in her bikini on the beach, she is a very cool lady either way you look at her nice life working when she wants to and playing when she wants to very cool.

  5. I love the opening sentence of this post!

For anyone considering Elite Membership - I strongly encourage you to give it a try! There is a lot of benefits - great support community, information, downloads, and of course, the Brainstorming Sessions. Also, if you can't make it to the live sessions, you have access to the playbacks as an Elite Member. These sessions are not your typical "webinar" they are interactive sessions where members can have critiques, learn new things, solve problems, and build their businesses!

    • Thank you Roey ๐Ÿ˜€ It's *so* true. Knowing how hard I worked to create the life I wanted, under the worst of circumstances, I never ever take it for granted.

Great pictures and looks like you all had an amazing time. I have got to get from behind this computer soon.

    You are the queen!

  7. I didn't think I could sell things on a WordPress blog - have to have a website link? that's why I don't get how it's done.........

thx short cuz on a Library comp.

    • Hi K,

ClickNewz is a WordPress blog ๐Ÿ˜€

A blog IS a website, or WordPress can be used to create a traditional looking website, but a website can also be made to read like a blog. So the format doesn't really matter so much.

Now if you're referring to WordPress.com, which is their free hosted version (like blogger.com), it definitely has some limitations. You'll want to read the TOS if that's what you're using - but I highly recommend setting up your own WordPress blog.

Your posts are so inspiring and I loved looking at the pictures! Thanks for all of the information you share with us and for letting us know that with the right info & hard work.... anything is possible!

  9. I only wish I could have been on the beach with you guys ๐Ÿ™‚ Glad I'll be seeing you all in August in Atlanta - and thankful that I won't require a bathing suit for that trip LOL

  10. Brenda Able says

    Lynn, what awesome pics!!! You look soooo happy and having the time of your life. I hope to have just a little of that one of these days when taking care of my dad is not so demanding and exhausting. You are such an inspiration to me and I also consider you my friend. I am honored to have gotten to know you this past year. {HUGS}

    • Thank you Brenda! I completely understand what you're going through. I took care of my grandmother around the clock her last two years, while taking care of my 2 children as a single mom - and they were much younger then. All that while growing my online business. Exhausting would be an understatement...

I admire you for what you're doing. ๐Ÿ˜‰

  11. Definitely the lifestyle I am reaching for and every day I see how possible it is. A long way to go still but much further than I was just a few years ago. I often watch the show House Hunters on HGTV and dream of having a Caribbean beach house one day so it makes me work harder *wink*

The elite group helps me stay focused and it's nice to have great people to bounce ideas off of in a safe environment online. The webinars, freebies, etc. are great but to have YOUR expertise and input for that low investment cannot be matched. I credit you for helping me change my life in so many ways. Thanks for all you do.

    • What a high compliment, Angie - Thank you ๐Ÿ˜€

I have SO enjoyed watching your progress over the years. You've made so many big changes, and I love the direction your business is going right now!!

It's great to have a vision that motivates you. I have one as well, and it keeps me going strong on the micro-level, day in and day out when I'm doing the "small tasks" it takes to create that big picture...

  12. Wow! This is an awesome blog post, for one. I sincerely felt everything from the heart that you've written here. I've had success with affiliate marketing over the past 1.5 years - not anywhere *near* Super Affiliate status although I hope to get there soon. What you said here was key for me:

"I often wonder where the difference lies between those that accept life as it is, and those that get mad and refuse to stay stuck where they areโ€ฆ"

This was definitely me. I got angry that I had devoted myself to college for so many years, to graduate in the height of the worst Recession we've been in awhile, and couldn't find a full-time job and I had bills to pay. Student loan debt. It definitely isn't a laughing matter. It was definitely the anger that put fuel to the fire to learn as much as I could and implement it as well.

I'm looking forward to take everything to the next NEXT level soon. Passive income has enabled me to fast track paying off my debts and I truly look forward to being debt free before 2011 is out.

    • Congrats on taking action, and on your success to date Dawn! It certainly didn't happen for me in 18 short months, just so you know. It's being both consistent and persistent that gets you where you want to be. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Thank you, too - I appreciate your comments regarding the post. Sometimes it's still hard to think back on those hard times, but they are a very real part of my life and the history of my getting where I am today...

I look forward to seeing you take things to that next level! ๐Ÿ˜€

Ouch! I miss you and Nicole and Joe! AND THAT BEAUTIFUL WATER. ::heart squeeze::

  16. Fun pics! What's in those cups?! lol

I sooo wish I could have been there. Hope I'll have another chance to attend Willie's little get together next time. Looks like you all had a great time.

  17. Hi all,
I found this site by accident - I'm glad that I did!

I have been writing content for others online for the past 3 or so years. A lot of hard graft for not the best return.

So now I have started a blog to document my journey to an online income - warts and all.

I am off to have a look at the forum now.

    Regards

    Karen

  18. Thatโ€™s quite beautiful photos there. As what we can see in your smiles, we could directly conclude that you really had fun. Plus, as what youโ€™ve mentioned, the food is great. The whole settings are great. The beach is beautiful. Everythingโ€™s in perfect.

  19. Wow to be a super affiliate would be great at the moment I am a pooper affiliate. I keep being positive, but some days itโ€™s hard to keep feeling positive.

Your article has put a real smile on my face and I am going to get there one day I hope ๐Ÿ˜‰

  20. Sheryl Siler says
