Looking for a Great Mastermind Group?

After my recent post and video about Brainstorming on the Beach, several people said they would love to find a Mastermind Group and/or accountability partners. For example, I just received this email from Jim:

Hi Lynn, I've been to many Internet Marketing seminars and they all say to find a mastermind group.

I just had another addition to our family last month and I'm really serious about being successful.

Can you please tell me how or where to find a MM group. I'm also looking for a success group for accountability. -Jim

For many years I worked completely solo. The only interaction with other online business owners I had was on public discussion forums. And while I managed to grow my business on my own, it was when I started joining brainstorming & accountability groups that it really took off.

There's something incredibly powerful about the feedback and ideas that are exchanged, the energy in a great group and how it fuels your creativity, and the motivation from being accountable for your goals.

You never really know what it can do for your business, and for you personally, until you experience it for yourself...

Of course, these groups don't always pan out like you hope. I've been involved in groups that were unproductive, or that dissipated over time. Sometimes a very short time, even - lol. It happens. The key is to know when to move on, and to keep looking for that ideal group that is a great fit for YOU.

My Private Brainstorming Group

For more than 6 years now, I have been quietly running a private brainstorming group on my discussion forum - which has been going strong since 2003. I have rarely mentioned this private group, and you won't find any big red headlines or sales copy. It's simply a quiet, but incredibly active group of action-takers brainstorming around the clock. We also meet live five times a month for Brainstorming Hour sessions in my webinar room.

We do community site reviews, usability tests, brainstorm ideas and domain names, help each other with technical issues, etc. Discussions range from setting up a blog step-by-step, to the details of creating & selling info products - and everything in between.

There are monthly challenges, accountability threads, live case studies, and of course the archives of all our past Brainstorming Hour sessions.

If you're looking for a great Mastermind Group, or people like you to brainstorm with and/or get help from, I invite you to join us. Just register at the forum if you haven't already, click the registration confirmation link in your email, and then log in to the forum. Once you do that, look for the Private Brainstorming Group section in the middle of the page and click the link to become an Elite Member and join us.

What better way to kick off the New Year than to jump on board with a group of serious action-takers that can help you take your online business to the next level?

πŸ˜€

See you there!

Best,

p.s. My private brainstorming group is the only place where I do ANY type of "consulting". It's the best way to take advantage of my 15 years of experience. πŸ˜‰

  1. Here I am stalking you again. Thanks for this. I was just thinking I needed to join a Mastermind Group and then your tweet came across my screen.

    Perfect timing.

    Thanks!!!!!

  2. Looking forward to getting to know all the new members. The elite group has been my main mastermind group for the last 7 years and I would give it the credit for why I'm still in business! So many great ideas are shared in the group.

And not to mention the connections you can make in there. I have not only found accountability partners but a virtual assistant, web designers, writers and more. Amazing group for a worthwhile and affordable investment into your business.

  3. Sound very interesting Lynn.

I do believe I will register. You have me curious.

    I love stuff like this.

The site critiques are what caught my interest.

    • We have great site critiques, usability tests & community reviews during our live Brainstorming Hour every week. I think A LOT of the members really enjoy those. πŸ˜‰

What I love most is when someone makes changes based on the feedback... during the call!... and we get to see live results. πŸ˜€

The elite group here is an amazing group of people who are willing to share their knowledge and ideas.

Lynn shares her knowledge and teaches what you need to be successful in an online business.

I have learned so much here and meet such great people.

  5. I highly recommend th brainstorming group to anyone who is thinking about it. Since getting involved 6 months ago I am now actually making some money instead of just thinking about it.

The group is very supportive, you can get help with ideas and difficulties, there is heaps of incredibly inpiring info that will get you taking action, and the monthly group challenges get you out of your comfort zone and actually doing things that help you move forward.

Hope to see you there πŸ™‚

  6. I can honestly say that being in the brainstorming group here at Clicknewz has saved my skin on more than one occasion. Whether it was getting an idea out of my head and onto paper or solving a technical difficulty like my website being hacked or just a little motivational booster, the group has been a great asset in business and just in general.

  7. This is really a great idea. I think a Mastermind Group would really benefit me in a HUGE way. Over the holidays I have kind of gotten into this lazy type of a funk and I am trying to find my way out of it. Having people hold me accountable would really light a fire under me and help me get things done.

One more question for everyone here as well. Do many of y'all actually do your work from home or do you go somewhere else. I am thinking I would be much more productive if I was able to leave my house and have an "office" somewhere that I could go to. I think it would help me focus and tune out things that I can't at home. (Phone calles, wife, kids and the dog that always wants to be walked! lol)

    Any ideas or hints here?

    • Hi Jim! Yes, I actually have two offices away from home for when I need some space... Starbucks and the Library!

Sometimes it helps to pack my computer case and head out the door for my office and really plug away at work.

      Hope that helps.. Dee

    • Same here. I had an office originally, and moved to a home office, so I have no intention of managing another space. But I do work mobile quite a bit. Whether it's the back deck, or the white sandy beaches of Fort Myers for a long weekend. πŸ˜‰

  8. I totally agree that sharing information with other people is a great option. My friends and I often have discussions on how, we should increase the visibility of our blogs, what are the topics we should write about. We come after our brain-storming sessions to have a more creative experience. We have our raw ideas worked on and have much better ideas that come out of it. If on the internet such an opportunity is there for bloggers to discuss and talk about ideas and plans, it seems like a great thing.

  9. Funny I should come across this. I was just reading "Think and Grow Rich" and was on the chapter discussing mastermind groups. As I progress, I understand the importance of this more and more. I think the only think holding me back at first was my comfort level in feeling I had nothing to contribute. The faster you can overcome that fear (if that's what's holding you back) the faster you can experience what it will truly do for your business!

The idea of a mastermind group sounds great, it's something that I've been thinking about trying for a while now, having a like minded group of people to discuss idea's with is great, but what I like even more is being able to contribute to the group.

  11. Spatch Merlin from More Web Site Traffic Guide says

The idea of joining a Mastermind is a great idea. Talking and interacting with people with the same interest would help you improve in your business implementations. I have joined groups before, it is very true that some wouldn't last, but the idea is to just move on. Finding a good group is not easy, but when you find one, it definitely is worth all the efforts.

  12. Tom Gilley says

I am intrigued to try a mastermind group. I have seen so many spammy and slimy pitches though. I have to laugh when I get an over the top pitch to join a group or webinar and it is obviously a marketing money grab. I am looking for quality not make $57,000 in 2 hours scams.
i look forward to learning more about you and your approaches.
