The Affiliate Birdnest

I get packages ALL the time. Not only do I shop online fairly often (okay, real often), but I get packages in the mail every week (well, more like almost every day) from people who want me to review their products - or affiliate networks that are trying to bribe me into joining.

By the end of the week there are usually a good stack of boxes in my carport. This past Friday I got a little surprise when I went to break down those boxes and take them out for Friday-morning pick-up:

The Affiliate Birdnest

Now is that cute, or what? You have to admit, the shredded crinkled paper makes for a perfect little birdnest 😉 I decided to leave everything in place, and let these babies be.

This particular package was from Digital River oneNetwork. They sent me a little bitty handheld USB mouse, along with a letter inviting me to join their affiliate network.

the bribe

This is actually the second package that I've received from them. They also sent me a really cool remote-control Durango not too long ago:

how am I going to get any work done if I'm playing with this?

Okay, okay! They got my attention, already - I finally gave in and signed up to be an affiliate 😀 They actually have some great merchants to work with, and a good variety of products. Their set-up reminds me of NetShops, which I've been doing very well with since last Fall. I posted some details about that network on my original blog, which you can see here: Check out NetShops.

Like NetShops, Digital River oneNetwork has a two-tier setup and offers data feeds. They also offer Optimized Rotators, which might be a good option to test for those of you that currently only use Adsense to monetize:

These rotators are designed by the software publisher and enable you to rotate ads on your website by using one simple code. The ads in this rotator are based on performance and the rotator serves the ads that perform the best on your site.

  1. Yes, we're having the greatest time with it. I show it off to everyone that drops by, LOL 😀 There are actually 4 eggs in there, though it only looks like three in the picture above. The little mama bird sits in there most of the time and she's just the sweetest thing!

I'll see if I cant get a picture of her without scaring her too much. She's a tiny little bird!

  2. Lynn, That is adorable! My daughter would just die to see that (the nest) in our backyard!

    Ahh man 🙁

I only got the laptop mouse - not the Durango.

    I feel cheated 🙁

I received a remote control airplane from them a couple of months ago.

Unfortunately, it does NOT fly, but merely roll along the floor.

If it wasn't free, I'd ask for my money back!

I'm going to demand my birdnest right now.

  5. What's that, Henrik?

    (Am I missing something here??)

  6. Look what I just got
