Graphics, Photos & Illustrations for $1

Images can make all the difference for your web presence. It's a well known fact that ebook sales, for example, experience a substantially higher conversion rate with a cover graphic than without.

The same goes for sales copy with a professional header graphic, versus sales copy on a bland page. A picture is worth a thousand words they say, and in marketing this can be especially true.

Illustrations and photos can lead a visitors eye to certain areas of your web pages. They can also liven up content and catch a browsers eye long enough to interest them in your content. If you choose photos and graphics that illustrate your point and the context of the page, it will work wonders on getting and holding the attention of your browsers.

Of course not all of us are artists or graphic designers (I'm certainly not!) and memberships at stock photo sites can get pricey. The source that I use for graphics and illustrations is iStockPhoto, where you can download images for as little as $1 apiece...

You'll find photos, abstract illustrations, stock images - just about anything that you could want graphics-wise at iStock. They have a very intuitive search feature that will allow you to search by topic, or keyword phrases and that will show you related phrases and categories as well.

I can usually find the perfect graphic for any project within a matter of minutes. And honestly, you cant beat the price. You can purchase 10 credits for $10, and most web-sized images only cost 1 credit. These are high quality graphics too, so its a great deal.

Of course if you are a graphic designer or artist, or freelance photographer, you can earn money at iStockPhotos as well. Check them out, do a few searches, and see for yourself!

Best,

    Lynn,

I love iStockPhoto, and I also use http://www.123rf.com/. They have a very similar set up and business model, although their search seems to be a little more targeted than some of the others.

  2. Thank you for the additional resource, Aaron. I'll have to check that out, as I've only used iStockPhoto myself.

  3. I love iStockPhoto! I can spend hours there looking at graphics and then downloading fonts 😉
