aStore or bStore?

Last fall, Amazon.com announced their new option for associates (ie affiliates) to set up their own Amazon aStores. I received an email tonight from a company that is offering free bStores...

The name of the company is Bravisa, and they are targeting bloggers to set up bStores as an income stream. They offer product widgets and online store design, all completely free. You get to choose the product and the mark-up, they handle the rest.

Differences the Bravisa bStore offers:

1) You Are a Retailer as Opposed to an Affiliate
This means that you make profits similar to companies like Buy.com or Amazon.com (not like their affiliate programs) without the retailer hassles of having to buy, stock, ship, or service the products. Bravisa takes care of these things.

2) You Can Create Unique Products
Bravisa offers a variety of products that you can customize/personalize by adding your own images or text to create unique products.

3) Growing List of Products
We can add new products quickly, so if you don’t find products you’re excited to sell and let us know what you would like to sell, we will do our best to include those products on our list.

It appears to me to be similar to a dropshipping or wholesaler account, only without the fees usually involved. I'd be interested to hear your opinion on this. The link is:

Do you currently use Amazon aStores on your blogs or affiliate sites? Would you consider using a bStore instead?

Best,

  1. Sounds interesting, though you don't seem to be displaying either aStore or bStore items on your blog, is there a reason for this?
I recently set up a website (and am still adding to it) with tutorials for making and using aStores, you may want to look at it to see examples of what are available, they've added a lot of widgets and banner types recently that are ideally suited for Bloggers. And the text linkage stuff is awesome and very adaptable to blogs. If you just click on my name above it should take you to tutorial page.

  2. Its a new template - I havent finished fleshing it out yet. But I do use an aStore on one of my niche blogs.

I'll check out your tutorials -thanks for the link!

Interesting site - I like the niche, long-tail products approach.
