Last month I posted the blog stats for ClickNewz, so I thought it would be fun to post an update. In fact, if you're interested I thought I might just get in the habit of posting the blog stats on the 1st of each month. No comments or feedback would mean no blog stats posts - so let me know if you'd like to see this as a regular update (or not) Â 😉
The original stats:

- Unique Visitors April 1st to April 4th: 761
- Total Unique Visitors since 03/11: 1,799
- Top Referring sites include GoldBlogger, the original ClickNewz blog, the SSWT Forum and The Warrior Forum.

I haven't actually done any major blog promotion at this point. The things that I did do were: add links to my blog on related sites that I own, include my blog in my signature at forums that I frequent, a bit of social networking - and of course including Tags in each post. Just the basics.
That said, I am in the process of putting together a Blog Promotion Action Plan. This will detail out my strategy to promote this blog, and any other blogs I might own or may launch in the future. It will include each of the places a blog should be submitted, 'tag strategy', options for traffic spikes, and the 'smart ways' to get quality inbound links from established domains (easily)... among other things.
Once I complete it, I thought others might be interested in using it as well. Yes?

I wonder what this will look like WITH blog promotion? Perhaps 7 Trillion inbound links??? (are there that many pages on the 'net anyway?)

I haven't done much yet to promote my blog... I'm still trying to figure out the tweaks and stuff, but a "Blog Promotion Action Plan" would be great!
Please post them every month. If nothing else we can get very jealous.

LOL Robert 😀 I'll do my absolute best to publish every cool resource and new tip that I find of interest myself - I'm all about 'sharing the wealth'!
Actually, I just looked again and it's now 7,460 according to Yahoo. These 'stats posts' are usually outdated the minute I publish them! lol
Anyway, you'll notice that many of those links are sitewides or blogrolls on other blogs - so they dont ALL count towards the Link Reputation for ClickNewz.com
From what I can tell, 87 of those links are 'counted'. But outside of search engine perks... there are over seven thousand links floating around on relevant web pages across the 'net that can be seen by people who may be interested in joining us here.
And to me, that counts for a lot! 😉

Great information. Good stats! About the BPAP (I like acronyms..haha), I would be very interested in hearing about that. I am working on promoting my site right now, and it seems like it is starting a little slow (but I know I haven't done enough of the stuff you mentioned in this post ..... YET! thanks!)

Is it a static website or a 'blog'? I am really impressed with the ease of promoting a blog vs a website (I know, I've made that point already). At any rate, my first piece of advice would be to TAG as much as possible - and in every post, of course.
Aside from that, I am finding other bloggers and discussion forums to be great sources for new traffic.
