My Review of the StomperNet Order Process

I sat down tonight to submit my request for StomperNet's special offer, and I decided to turn on the video camera and let you watch over my shoulder through the order process.

There has been a lot of rumbling across the 'net about the backend offers and the order process in general, so if you havent walked through it yourself yet you'll get to see it first hand in my video.

Frankly, I dont get it. All the griping, that is. It was a simple process, and there were some great offers presented. What you'll see in this video is my very first walk-through of the order process, so you get to watch me make my decisions on the fly...

If you havent yet requested your free copy of Stomping the Search Engines 2.0, the premier edition of The Net Effect (and all 12 customer bonuses), you can click here to do that. Any 'purchases' are optional of course. Just make sure you take them up on the special offer for free products before the end of the weekend! This offer gets pulled on Monday.

If you have placed your order, and it didnt go as smoothly as mine did in the video above, then you'll want to resubmit it. If you did not receive a confirmation email immediately, your order did not get processed. You should have ended up on a confirmation page just like this one:

The support team says that if you landed on a blank page instead, and did not receive confirmation emails, you'll need to resubmit your order to ensure you receive your package. Any accidental duplicate orders will be handled ASAP.

Several people have commented that they regret not taking advantage of the special offers that were presented in the checkout process. In the excitement of the release, a lot of people took them up on the free offer only and whizzed through the remaining screens.

Good news! Sometime in the next couple of days we are going to have opportunity to update our orders - so if you were one of those people, you'll get a chance to take a second look at your options before the deal ends on Monday.

Yes, I already have review copies.

Obviously I already have a copy of Stomping the Search Engines 2.0 and The Net Effect. However, my copy of The Net Effect is a press copy, for the purpose of review. As I mentioned in the video, I want a copy with the official cover which includes a photo of the entire StomperNet team. I also wanted to subscribe to the "DVD of the month" and shop the other products offered at deeply discounted prices.

I bought those products for myself after having experienced top quality information at their live events, but also for the purpose of review. Each of those products are going to be made available publicly in the near future (at regular retail prices, of course). I wanted to have an opportunity to review each of them in advance, and decide whether I will promote them when they are released.

When doing a product review, or recommending a product as an affiliate, its also important to review the order process. Walking through the checkout, analyzing the follow-up, and getting a good feel for how quick the product ships and such - these are all important details for a true review.

In case you're wondering, I had a reason for waiting so late to order my own package. Well, besides the fact that I'm the queen of procrastination 🙂 .

I was simply deciding which of the products I wanted to order for myself from their bonus offers section, and also knew there was no major rush so I waited until the cart stabilized. As you saw in the video above, everything was working smooth - I was able to order without a hitch!

I'm not sure what time their free offer, along with the 12 bonuses, will end on Monday, so if you are a procrastinator like me (or were simply on the fence about this offer) my advice is to get your request in sometime over the weekend if you havent already 😉

    Great video. I really think a lot of the "griping" could be a result of the delays on the launch, and all the build up and hype. I know I was really eager to sign up (always been curious about these guys).

    After everything, I was thrown off guard by the upsells and backend products...but I shouldn't have been. I should have known better. I did purchase everything but the final offer (and subsequent downsell). It just wasn't right for me.

    When all is said and done... I learned a lot about the process from a customer and a marketers perspective. You gotta hand it to these guys... They did a great launch with incredible content.

    When the sales weren't right for me....I just moved on. Not sure what the gripe was...exactly like you summed up in your video.

  3. Hey Lynn, the upsell offers should be expected by everybody.. I mean think about it, these are professional internet marketers who understand customers relationships and sales all in one. I personally bought the ENTIRE Course of $247, which is a steal in my opinion. I practically saved over $500. This is the same course that all StomperNet clients purchase inside the community and I wanted the whole thing..

    My niche is network marketing. I am serious about building an internet empire using skills learned and attraction marketing techniques. However, I am sure I can learn a thing or to from the StomperNet Team.

    I think the problem was the urgency created - I saw several tweets from people worried they wouldn't be able to get their hands on the product. Therefore people wanted to get through the ordering system as quickly as possible so they could relax about the whole thing. The OTO's slowed that down and felt at one point endless.

  5. The urgency was created by the market, which is the same source of the complaints. It was odd really (from my viewpoint). I made several attempts to assure people it would not be such a limited offer and to wait until the cart had stabilized to avoid any issues.

    My only guess being that it is a natural result of past experience with such offers. Your take?

  7. I am happy to hear that we can update our orders. I didn't allow myself enough time to complete the order process but lesson learned for next time.

    Personally, I'm used to upsells and those didn't bother me.

    I had to do upsells as a part of many of my jobs whether as a bank loan processor or when I sold scrapbooking products.

    I thought the STSE2 OTO's were all related and I didn't mind them. But that's just my 2 cents!

    I think the source of a lot of the gripes was that the offer was pushed heavily as FREE, FREE and by the way it's FREE! Having been given such a strong line that it was all going to be free, it was a bit of a shock to be hit with so many OTOs.

    This is not a criticism, just an observation. I was also taken aback at the number of OTOs and the hard sell of them, but when all's said and done, there looks to be some great material there at good prices.

    I'm actually glad that my first attempt at ordering failed, as it meant I could go back and review the OTOs with a bit more of a calm mind.

    I ended up buying more the second time round than I tried to do first time, so it could be that their hard sell let them down a bit.

    I don't think that I'm along in having an instant "no thanks" reaction to OTOs, and I wouldn't be surprised if they lost a lot of sales that way. I know they would have lost out with me if my order had gone through first time.

    Hey, maybe that's the new marketing gimmick we're all looking for! Create a buzz about your product, then make sure the first attempt at ordering fails. Then the customer can try again and buy all the OTOs that they rejected first time round!

    LOL Alan - funny! You definitely werent alone in your initial reaction. Several regretted not taking them up on some of the offers. They are actually going to give everyone an opportunity to update or add to their order sometime in the next few days. A great move, in my opinion!

    What I find strange that the shipping price
    for the full dvd set is US $23.41 International

    The shipping price for the magazine and dvd
    is US $30.14 International ??

    Agnes - thank you. Interesting indeed. I didnt pay attention to the final charges on my own package while I was ordering. Just looked back over the emails though:

    Slimline course: $3.03 s/h
    Mini-course Mega Pack: $3.03 s/h
    StSE 2.0, Net Effect +DVD: $12.86 s/h

    So my total shipping cost appears to be $18.92.

    I wonder if its actually going to come in 3 different packages, or all in one? I guess we'll find out soon enough!

  27. Be aware if you are purchasing products from Stompernet. They don’t deliver the goods, and are totally uncontactable or refuse to answer their emails or phones.

    I finally got the phone to answer only to find it is a fully automated system with messages only and nowhere to leave a message.

    The messages conveniently instruct you to their websites or tell you to email them at email addresses they do not resond to.

    Be aware. For those who got their products, congratualations.

    I am very disappointed as I hear they have a good a product.

    I'll be completely honest here, I have been ignoring ALL emails about Stompernet on purpose. Due to a recent financial blow we've taken I have to be SUPER SUPER SUPER picky about what I purchase - especially with Christmas right around the corner.

    Knowing what anything Stompernet related has cost in the past - I assumed it was well out of my reach ...

    Well Lynn - I can only ignore your emails so long! LOL! (I start going through withdrawl!) I finally left my eyes skim over things until I was completely shocked! :0 I never expected a deal quite this good! So of course I dug in full force to learn more! (Yes, Iadmit it. I was still figuring there was a catch of some sort.)

    I'm so glad I finally left myself read things! I also watched the STSE2 video and all your videos. (As usual - fantastic job of explaining everything in great detail Lynn! And I must say I really enjoyed their video as well!)

    I so can't wait to get this and I'm especially looking forward to the monthly Net Effect! This is so exciting!

    From what I've read it's too late to get any of the other bonuses but ... from what I've seen on your video, it doesn't looks so bad (at all). I've seen a lot worse. Not sure what all the complaining would be about.

    First of all - if you've purchased any internet marketing products - you should expect them. Geesh, even McDonald's upsells! So it's not just internet marketing related products. Wonder if these people go off on the McDonald's employee every time they say "Would you like fries to go with that?"

    (Or ... and I can't resist ... how about a hot apple pie?)

    Secondly and most importantly in my opinion - what do you expect? When someone is offering an awesome deal such as this - you should be kind enough to give them an extra what 2 minutes? 5 minutes of your time to look at what else is offered. I mean really - how hard is it to click No thanks?

    Not to mention ... what about all those who think the extra bonuses are too good to pass up? What about the people who really wanted the other offers? I'm sure they're dang glad they were offered. It's just an opportunity to get even more great deals on top of the first one. You simply can't satisfy everyone. It's virtually impossible.

    (But I digress ... just my opinion!)

    Oh and I think I'll take my chances and order regardless of any warnings, lol. Something tells me I'm going to get my order and if I were to want to cancel I think it'll be okay. I mean if it was really that difficult - do you think they'd put the contact phone number to cancel right in the video promoting the offer?

    Brad and Andy have been around way too long and make way too much money to scam people out $40 - $50 a pop. Yeah - no worries here, I'll take my chances.

  32. Well, I orderered with over $400 (including postage and OTO's) on Sept 5th and still no product. I posted some posts on the warrior forum where many others were having the same problem. The only recourse is to goto your credit card company and get a claw back for non delivery of goods and the inability to contact them via email or via phone. If enough people go to their credit card companies with complaints then these guys may just get their act together.

  33. I've been sending manys mails to the stomper team no response from them, I ordered on the 14 Sep. I tried calling 404-348-4382 options all options (1-5) didn't lead me to a live person, they were all recorded messages.

  34. I ordered on September 13th, still I don't have my products. More than $300

    Got an email from them so I canceled future orders. No answers where my package is.
    For a refund you need a RMA ? and you have to return the package!

    I contacted Visa and they will try to get my money back.

    this is nearly a MONTH i'm waiting for my shipment !!!

    this is really A SHAME on them for international orders !!

    i just hope that americans who did not have any problem in their ordering process ACTUALLY RECEIVED what they paid for,

    i am seriously thinking about creating a complaint site about stompernet.

    Those are pro marketing guys who can't even deliver their products ??

    i even received tons of follow up messages and even a message asking me if i acted and put their advices in practice...

    this would be damn hard to put advices in practice when my credit card WAS CHARGE nearly a month ago and i NEVER received ANYTHING!

    and when i asked for a refund ( 3 weeks ago !) they told me they had a problem sending me the item and that it was shipped 2 days before my first complaint email.. (how strange)!

    and now, 3 weeks later, in less than a week i'm gonna get billed for a second issue or their journal WITHOUT EVEN Having received ANYTHING to review !!

    and the biggest problem here, is that when i ask for a refund, they say i can simply return the items i dont want and cancel all futures orders

    THE PROBLEM IS I HAVE NOTHING TO SEND BACK SINCE I NEVER RECEIVED ANYTHING!!!

    What the hell can i do ????

    i call them PURE THIEVES !

    in my country, when i order something, i have a tracking order and can follow 24/7 WHERE my items ARE LOCATED !!!

    i am seriously thinking about setting up a website completely DEDICATED against stompernet, and initiate a CLASS action suite to recover all the money taken by this company using fraud techniques and falsely misleading email stating their 'technical problem' ... but just coincidently, they never had any 'technical' problem to bill my credit card !!

  39. I have requested a claw back form my cc company and would recomend that you do the same. In my opinion this is a scam to get you to buy the bonuses.

    Question for the author of this blog.

    How are you still promoting this product?? Do you not think it slihghtly un ethical given all of the feedback?

  40. I'm here - I actually have comments on this issue in 6 different places, so I am busily catching up and getting all of those together (I've been out of town of course). The majority have received their packages, but there seems to be a problem with a certain percentage so I am trying to pull those details together and see if I can send them some useful data on that.

  42. Well, any percentage of 17,000 is still going to be a pretty decent number. But I honestly dont know what the issue is. I'm unhappy about it too.     I got an email earlier this evening myself. They are working overtime on the issue, and have done a complete audit (sounds like fun, on 17,000 orders -not!). They are reshipping all of those orders at their cost. Shipments are going out again on Monday and they are resetting the billing on those orders as well.

    Thank you for posting here so that I knew who was having issues, and on what specifically. I'm still working on a full list to send in so they can double check it by their own.
