Live Affiliate Marketing Workshop in Atlanta

Mark your calendar, because in just a few weeks there is a big weekend workshop happening in Atlanta, GA that you're going to want to attend!

www.nicheaffiliatemarketingsystems.com

David Perdew is putting on this live event so that you can learn Niche Affiliate Marketing from some of the top affiliate marketers in the industry. Unlike a conference where you listen and take notes, this event will include live hands-on workshops so that you can implement the strategies you learn on the spot.

And here's a huge plus... I'll be there to help you personally πŸ˜‰

Date: Jan 30 - Feb 2, 2009
Location: Crowne Plaza Hotel in Atlanta, Georgia
Airport: Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport
Details: www.nicheaffiliatemarketingsystems.com

This workshop is completely different from anything else out there. The four main leaders - Willie Crawford, Mark Hendricks, Jeff Herring, and Alex Sysoef - will do 60-90 minutes teaching a technique.

Afterwards everyone breaks into small groups (based on niche interest) and will spend 2 to 2.5 hours implementing those techniques.

We'll all get to work together - creating, promoting, and making sales that weekend!

I'll be leading one of those groups. I'll also be staying at the conference hotel for the duration of the event, so it will be a great opportunity to talk one-on-one during breaks or over dinner.

What better way to start the New Year and kick off 2009 with a bang?!

The early-bird special is still available, at only $197 for the entire workshop. You simply cant get that kind of hands-on training and personal assistance for that price anywhere else...

I hope to see you there!

Best,

p.s. Once you register, leave a comment below and let us know you'll be there. Be sure to include your Twitter ID in your comment if you have one, so we can all stay in touch πŸ˜‰

  1. Thanks David. You cant beat that $99 room rate. Especially if people double up and room together. I always do that at events because its fun to have someone to hang out & share notes with after hours. I already have my room mate lined up for this event, but I'm sure there are some that havent.

The room rate, plus the $300 discount if you register for before the 12th, makes this an incredible deal. Like David said, you'd be hard pressed to attend another event for that price - much less get this kind of hands-on implementation & help.

Kudos, David - I'm pleased to be a part of this event!

  2. Hey Gang,

Ready to roll out! I am all booked with flight and hotel to leave from Boston now. Although, the $99 room rate is good but for my budget, I had to go with http://www.Orbitz.com and used a $75 off coupon from http://www.couponcabin.com.

I was able to purchase hotel+flight totaling of $490 for 5 days and 4 nights. Not only that I'm only two blocks away from the Crowne Plaza Hotel. Hope this helps anyone and can't wait.

    Thanks Lynn & David!

p.s. Anyone want to double up with me just let me know.

  3. Cathy Bendzunas says

You got a good deal Maurice. For me to save money, I'm coming in very early Fri morning. My flight leaves at 5 something. I should get there in plenty of time. Just may have to drink a few red bulls. Our first meeting starts at 9, right Lynn or David?

  4. It does, Cathy - and you wont be the only one tired that morning. I'll sneak out for a couple of coffees to keep us going if I have to! πŸ˜‰

  5. I may hold you to that. I have a feeling I'm going to need it! I'll probably not even go to bed the night before.

  6. Cathy- Glad you coming! I did get a good deal had I not more than likely, I wouldn't have been able to make it. It was worth the digging around online to find a way to get to Atlanta even if it meant selling some of my stuff.

Also wasn't able to get in early enough for Friday's session would have been very late with the flight schedules out of Boston. My flight leaves Thursday midday and will just hang out solo.

  7. David Perdew says

There will be a bunch of people in the hotel Maurice on Thursday...

    d

  8. I'll be driving in sometime Thursday myself πŸ˜‰

  9. Bill Costello says

I really like all these messages.
I have a room at the Renaissance Marriott about 4 blocks away using Marriott points. I think the room is more than $99, but will share with someone for $50 a night. If interested, let me know ASAP so I can switch from a King to two Queens.
I am getting in Thursday as well, scheduled to arrive ATL 1:53 PM Will probably walk to the conference hotel late afternoon to scope things out. Would be fun to meet a lot of people if we can schedule a meet-up. With 125 people, it will be hard to meet everyone or most everyone in the evenings. I'd love to make as many contacts as possible.
    Bill

  10. Bill Costello says

Oops, my room is no longer available.
Who will be available for a meet-up Thursday, late afternoon, or dinner, or early evening? I'd like to get another booster shot of enthusiasm going into the workshops.
    Bill

  11. I'm in - I just registered. I've never been to a live conference about IM - so I am enthusiastic, excited and hope I won't be too over my head.
Looking at the schedule it looks like, although interesting, Monday is not valuable to learning the concepts - and I have a J.O.B. to get back to - is that correct?

  12. David Perdew says

  14. David Perdew says

    Hey - an update:

I've added a bonus to the Workshop and some of you staying at other hotels won't like it πŸ™‚ But if you're staying with us, you'll love it.

But here's an inside look at putting on an event. (And this is in NO way meant as criticism or rebuke or anything negative - I don't do that - but it might be a marketing lesson.)

The reason I can do this event so cheaply is that if I hit my room block minimum, then the meeting space is free. That's standard practice in the event business.

So, not only do I want a lot of folks to come, but to stay at the hotel. Otherwise, I'll have to charge about 3 times more just to cover expenses.

So, as a marketer, I saw that a few folks were booking elsewhere - what could I do to nip that in the bud?

One of the announcements I was going to make at the workshop is that attendees could purchase the recordings of the 3-Day event for $97. Guest instructors - Lynn included - will have resale rights, but at a much higher rate.

So, to ensure people at least considered staying in the hotel, I'm offering the 3-day recordings to them for FREE after the event.

See, what I did there? Another incentive to plug a leak...or at least try πŸ™‚

    dp

  15. That's an awesome deal, David - and a smart move too. I love that you're keeping the cost low for attendees, and this additional perk just makes the entire deal that much sweeter!

Looking forward to the BlogTalkRadio spots this week. A little something to whet the appetite, eh? πŸ˜‰

Who will be available for a meet-up Thursday, late afternoon, or dinner, or early evening?

I'll probably be there in time for dinner on Thursday evening, though I'm not sure exactly what time yet. I'll be sure to post updates on Twitter of course - and here as well.

I think it would be great to get together for an event-based meetup Thursday evening so we can all get to know each other a bit. I'm also hosting a meet-up on Monday around lunch, following the event, as a general Atlanta Meet-up. Just an FYI for anyone that wants to stick around for that after the breakfast/wrap-up on Monday morning.

Monday is not valuable to learning the concepts - and I have a J.O.B. to get back to - is that correct?

    Hi Nan,

That's correct as far as I know. Its a short day, a couple of hours in the morning for breakfast & wrap-up. Right, David?

  16. I've never been to any sort of internet marketing conference or workshop, but am seriously considering attending. My question may reflect my inexperience. I use a desktop computer at home, and don't have a laptop. Since this is a hands-on seminar, I should probably get my hands on a laptop before I attend - right?

  17. Bill Costello says

    Hi Kayla,
I am sure David will correct me if need be, but I would say that you should definitely have a laptop with you with wireless Internet access.
    Bill

  18. Bill Costello says

Lynn, Meetups sound great. Maybe someone can make a list of email addresses and cell phone numbers for anyone wanting to know what is happening outside the workshops. If people will pass along the info, I will volunteer to compile and send along. (Email Word doc attachment?)
    Bill:
    wmcenterprises@comcast.net
    Cell: 312-320-0018

  19. David Perdew says

    Lynn and Nan -

Of course, it's kind of the day after. For those of you who've never been a live event like this, you'll be dog-tired on Monday. And you'll have made great relationships. (Kind of like leaving a really intense camp.)

The Monday morning period is a cool down, networking opportunity to make sure you've gotten everyone's information and to say your goodd byes. These people - especially your small group - should become business partners and masterminds...if not really good friends.

Monday morning is also when we celebrate everyone's success! With valuable prizes πŸ™‚

The only problem is you have to be there to win the prize (see the comment about hotel rooms earlier...there's a reason for everything I do πŸ™‚ sometime apparent only to me though.)

As for the laptop question, I'm not sure. Obviously, you can't bring a desktop (although I did that once to New York 16 years ago before laptops were prevalent)...

If you don't bring a laptop, you'll be stuck watching someone else work. I'd suggest renting or borrowing one for the weekend. Creating a directory for your stuff and making a CD of it when you're done.

I was wondering if everyone (from clicknewz at least) will be able to connect via twitter or other?

Some of ya have posted your twitter IDs, just wanted to check

    Mine: http://twitter.com/CreativeCoder

    Julie Anna's (My m0m's): http://twitter.com/BookJewels

Wow this is exciting, thank you David for making this possible!

  21. David, do you know how long the Monday stuff usually lasts? I'm fine no matter how long it is. I'm visiting my best friend in Marietta for a few days after the confernce before returning to VA & I'd like to give her an approxiamate time of day to come pick me up (noonish? mid-afernoon, etc.).

BTW, Cathy, do NOT bring any of those rescue dogs with you. My wife, Sis, would SHOOT me if I brought home another dog. We have had as many as 3 dogs, but have 1 now.
Hey, all you brand newbies who hope this won't be 'over your head', join the crowd. Another benefit of these messages is that David is getting the message about where speakers need to start (basics), I feel sure. In fact, David has said the workshop will be especially beneficial for those who have not made dollar one from Internet Marketing (IM) yet. But we are going to have to work! Hope working jeans are appropriate for the workshop.
    Bill

  25. Oh darn, they were all planning on coming too. Oh well, they don't have their own lap tops & I'm not sharing!

As for the Newbie thing, I don't worry too much about that. I have studied IM for several years, long before I decided to try it myself. I just need to learn how to put it all together!
I do kind of worry about the tech stuff. I can set up my own wordpress blogs with plugins, themes, etc. but that's aboutthe extent of my tech ability.

I won't make it to the Thursday thing but I want to be kept in the loop for any other plans we all do outside the conference. My twitter is CathyBend

  26. David Perdew says

Last comment for today πŸ™‚ got a workshop to get ready for...

In fact, David has said the workshop will be especially beneficial for those who have not made dollar one from Internet Marketing (IM) yet.

Absolutely. You'll want to listen to Willie Crawford closely as well. I talked to him this morning about his pres. There are two groups or marketers in my opinion:

    1) Those with lists

    2) Those without

The big question is how do those from group 2 make a sale quickly. That's what we're focusing on because group 1 will also benefit tremendously from that conversation.

Hope working jeans are appropriate for the workshop.

I'll have a jacket and khakis on for my pres on Saturday - then it will be jeans for the rest of the time. Never a tie πŸ™‚

    We're working here - dress appropriately πŸ™‚

    d

  27. Bill Costello says

For those still undecided about coming, it is also very exciting to see the range of people who will be there -- from teenagers to those, shall we say, with significant chronological experience, although I doubt if anyone will be as significant as I am in that regard. πŸ™‚ And as Bret Favre says on TV, I'm comfortable in Wrangler jeans!

  28. Michael Schultz says

Well it's a relief to think that I will not have to be constrained to my suits the whole time! *good 'ol American Eagle* Seems that it *would* be a bit more of a comfortable environment to work in. πŸ™‚

As for the laptop situation..yeah I'd recommend investing in one before the conference (you'll be glad you bought it, laptops are crazy with the while mobility convenience thing!).

Now, what I did a few months back when I was in need of one, was I went to sites such as:

    1. CompUSA.com
    2. Buy.com
    3. Newegg.com

And when I got there I searched for "Gateway Refurbished". (I like Gateway and I have no problem with refurbished hardware..it works and it’s new!) Just as long as you like Gateway...If not just search for the brand you like. You may not get the same price ranges, especially if you go for Lenovo or something, but they'll still be better than buying retail and getting the same thing for an outrageous price.

You should find fairly good laptops there, mine can do everything development-wise (web, graphic, flash, video, audio, ect. *Heck, mine even has no problem even gaming!*), I got a red Gateway and I love it.

At such a low price and such high quality, how can ya go wrong?

  29. Laptop-good thing it was asked had I not known one was needed I'd be quite disappointed. Now I'm on my way to borrow one...see ya!

p.s. Thanks Kayla, Bill & Michael for bringing it (laptop) up and David for clarifying.

  30. Bill Costello says

You are very welcome, Maurice. Just another of the many benefits of this blog area provided by Lynn.

My Twitter ID is @LiamCostello, but I have not been able to access Twitter on my Blackberry 8830 (Verizon service), so I will have limited access. Can anyone tell me fairly specifically how to implement Twitter on this model Blackberry? Would be much appreciated.

I would also like to follow anyone in this group that I am not following. Long-term relationships building here!

  34. Hi all,
I've been debating about attending this workshop. There are personal concerns here about time and money and results.

I live in Nashville and would be driving to Atlanta. Is there anyone already registered or still deciding who might like to split some of the costs? I'd be willing to have others jump into the 'bus' on the way down (and back, of course) and help defray the gas costs, or if you would like a rider, I'd be happy to put in my part.

Also, I'd like to connect with one or two others in sharing a room, thereby lowering the cost of sleeping quarters.

Is there anyone coordinating these kinds of things?

Being able to defray some of the costs of attending this event would go a long way towards making the commitment, and the approval thereof by 'The Committee" here at home!

I really am looking forward to this unprecedented type of workshop. This sounds like the event that will finally get me earning instead of dreaming, and couldn't have come at a better time.

In addition to your responses here, I can be reached at QMoore13@gmail.com .

    Quinn

  35. Lynn - are we sure that this is training for IM and not just a pitch to buy the "Niche" system?
    Thanks.
    Nan

  36. Lynn I just wanted to say I enjoyed listening to David interview you today on Blogtalk radio!

I can't wait to meet you both!

    Jean

  37. David Perdew says

    Nan said:

Lynn - are we sure that this is training for IM and not just a pitch to buy the Ò€œNicheÒ€ system?

I wrote a really long response to this because I got a little passionate when I read it.

But I decided not to post it. Stay with the video training. You can apply anything in that and what comes from the workshop to any business building endeavor - offline or online.

    dp

  38. Thanks Jean - the BlogTalkRadio interview was fun! David has uploaded all of the interviews to the workshop page. You'll find each of them in the speaker bio sections.

  39. Nan,
Any offers that might be made, would be completely optional. You should listen to the playback of my BTR interview with David (link above) because he shared a lot of what would be given to attendees for free that weekend.

Everything is going to be taught & offered to you during the event. All you have to do is learn & apply (which you get to do there as well, during the hands-on workshops).

  40. Quinn,
I think there are others looking for people to ride and/or room with as well. I'll put out a request to the Atlanta Meet-up list since most of the workshop folks are on that.

If you're not, send a blank email to atlantameetups-AT-aweber.com
(replacing -AT- with "@" of course)

  41. Thanks Lynn,

That would be great and yes, I'm already on that list!

    Quinn

  42. Bill Costello says

    My 2 cents worth here.

It seems like some of the posts are very cautious and wary about the workshop being a trap to try to sell products, specifically the Niche system. With all the bogus scams on the Internet I think that is quite understandable. And perhaps you have been bitten by previous seminars as well.

But on the other hand, if David and the other presenters are going to have you do some practical work and actually make money while you are there (even for newbies with no presence on the Internet), then there HAS to be a medium and tools to do this. What David has VERY generously done, in my opinion, is make his 'medium' (the Niche system) as well as other tools from the other presenters/facilitators available for FREE for a month to all participants.

So if you go to the workshop and decide that there are more cost-effective tools available, you can drop all those capabilities and tools at the end of the month at no cost.

Of course, the presenters are all business-people. Like us, they are in business to make money. I suspect they have the confidence that they have quality, very-competitive products and that you will like what you see and remain with them and establish ongoing mutually beneficial relationships with them.

But the choice is YOURS without spending a penny for products to get started.

So I think the decision involves looking at the agenda, doing some research on the people running the workshops and their products, and making a decision on whether or not you will learn enough and have enough opportunity to establish valuable relationships with presenters and participants, to make the investment of travel, hotel, seminar fee, per diem and your time worthwhile. If the decision is no, take a pass. If yes, decide if you want to do it.

I think it might be a bit unfair to ask someone else to verify that you will be making a good decision.

    Bill Costello

  43. I can understand some of the concerns which are legitimate but Bill is correct. Also if you look at who's presenting at the workshop some of the names you know others may not.

But one thing is crystal clear to me and many others that Lynn is not one to put her "reputation" up for sale no matter what. And the same can be said for any of the presenters including David (who I don't know nor any of the others except for Lynn as a follower of hers.)

But first apply due diligence, research, then ask questions if your skeptical, concerned or whatever because after all its going to be your business.

    Peace,
    Maurice

  44. David Perdew says

    Maurice, Bill, and Lynn -

Thanks. Due diligence - even skepticism - are warranted...always. But it's a real shame when skepticism born out of fear of taking action gets in the way of doing the right thing.

Action is always the right thing.

    dp

  45. Dan Reinhold says

I count exactly two posts expressing any real level of skepticism.

I get the feeling that "Nick" just wanted a link to a popular blog with strong traffic. I sincerely hope that's not the case. Nan just thought out loud, basically. She said what others might also wonder.

I know that Lynn would not associate herself with anything like this if it was not the real deal.
She has a strong and long standing reputation to maintain, and we're only now just past the Stompernet fiasco.

If the timing worked for me, you can bet I'd be there to learn directly from Lynn. That'd be a dream come true!

Willie Crawford is also a person of impeccable character who does not associate with scams of any kind. He's been at this long enough and successfully enough to know one when he sees one, no doubt.

Any skeptics can check them both out and be thoroughly satisfied. I'm sure the same applies to Mark Hendricks.

A personal note to Maurice: Thanks for your generous offer. You got some prime karma coming your way, I'm sure! Enjoy and learn lots.

I'll be waiting in Boston. πŸ™‚

    Dan

  46. For the record, I've turned down two other speaking requests recently, and am very picky about who I associate myself with. And I think you guys already know that I'll go to bat for you if necessary πŸ˜‰

Its going to be an awesome weekend! Look forward to seeing you all there πŸ˜€

I live 5 min. away from the hotel, and since this the airport area, and not downtown buckhead, I thought I'd give a few tips.

    Nearby decent restaurants
Spondivits -- Seafood. Walking distance. Often Crowded.

Manchester Arms -- Nice English Pub down the street.

Noodle - Thai Asian Noodle House. Less than 5 min Car or Cab ride away, but really close. Good food.

Barbeque Kitchen - Meat and 3 type southern restaurant. Good, but can be greasy.

East Point Corner Tavern -- My neighborhood Bar! Upscale pub food. Can be really smokey at nite, not too bad around dinner time, or lunch! Outside seating if its warm.

Also your basic Ruby Tuesday, Malones ( similar to a Ruby Tuesday or Friday's)

To Avoid : The italian restaurant a few doors down. Landmark Diner. Both have some pretty icky food.

Lynn, the closest Starbucks I know of is down the street and inside the Hilton Hotel. πŸ™‚

A 10 minute ride North into Midtown can put you into some nicer dining areas. Feel free to ask for a recommendation at my email or twitter.

Looking forward to seeing you alll.

  49. Annemarie or anyone else familiar with this airport:
How & where do I find the shuttle for the hotel? I asked the hotel clerk when I made the reservation but he didn't know.
This is a big airport (I've been here before but I always had someone pick me up) & it's kind of scary to maneuver alone!

  50. Annemarie O'Bea says

    Cathy
Follow the crowd down towards the baggage claim, then follow signs to ground transportation. You will go out near where the cabs are, and all the hotel buses go by there. You can't miss em. Not sure if you need to call when you land though, they may not come regularly.

The Atlanta airport is big and spread out, but if you follow the crowds and read the signs, its pretty easy to find your way.
