In December 2009, ClickNewz saw just over 52,000 visits. This December (2010), the number of visits almost doubled. 102,604 visits to be exact. During the year of 2009, ClickNewz saw just over a quarter of a million unique visitors. 2010 brought a 53% increase in unique visitors, and an 82.5% increase in overall traffic.

This is a combination of RSS and Email subscribers, but represents only a portion of my mailing list.
I have multiple email lists, including a daily update that goes out every morning at 8am Eastern.
Actual mailing list reach is currently over 18,000 subscribers, which brings total RSS/Email readership up to over 23k and growing.

Single Post Stats
While overall stats are fun and interesting, I pay special attention to the stats of a single page or post over time. Achieving a top 10 ranking and funneling highly targeted traffic into specific pages, is a surefire way to set up long-term income streams.
For example, my post about starting a free online business was written more than 2 years ago (August 2008). In 2010 alone, it saw 31,883 visits due to top rankings in Google for multiple versions of the longtail keyword phrase.
An optimized post here at ClickNewz using a very specific keyword phrase, with a strong call to action in the post, can be worth quite a bit...

Besides sharing your great traffic reports, you make a good point readers shouldn't miss, and that is you track your traffic. You know how much you get, where it's coming from, and what people are reading (or at least where they are going) on your site. I wonder how many people who complain about little traffic take the time to really track their traffic?

Those are some very nice numbers! It is interesting that one of your posts traffic over the year was equivalent of one month of total traffic for your site.
Congratulations Lynn. I know these statistics are slightly dated now but I can only assume that you're doing even BETTER now in 2012! How magnificent you've got this site up and running; it's my dream to get my site HALF as good - in traffic and quality - as ClickNewz!
