Your Chance to Win a Lenovo ThinkCentre!

This is your chance to win a Lenovo ThinkCentre M90z 23’’ HD-ready Touch Screen all-in-one desktop computer! πŸ˜€

Lenovo is currently doing a blog outreach program, and they are allowing each blogger involved to give away one of these super cool systems.

One of the features I didn't share in the video (oops!) is that there is an on-screen touch keyboard.

It stays over to the left at the very edge of the screen, and you simply tap it to bring it open. It also works with a stylus pen.

This system would be super cool with a swing arm mounted by a chaise lounge or big comfy chair & ottoman.

That way you could swing it out of the way, or in front of you at a comfortable level and tilt to work on it like a giant iPad. πŸ˜€

All you have to do is a leave a comment below between now and May 2nd, 2011 (10pm Eastern) - specifically with your thoughts on the ThinkCentre M90z - and you're entered to win!

At 10pm Eastern on May 2nd I will do a random drawing from all of the comments about the ThinkCentre M90z on this post, between now and then. One entry per person, multiple comments do not equal multiple entries. YouTube and Facebook comments do not count - you must comment here on this post (below).

Be sure to use the correct email address and Twitter ID when leaving a comment below. I will contact you via Twitter if you win the drawing, and email you to get your shipping address for the prize.

Once the drawing is over and a winner is selected, the shipping details will be sent to Lenovo. They will ship your prize to you directly.

Good luck!! πŸ˜‰

Best,

  1. My Dell Vostro is old. I would love to win it as a replacement!

  4. Oh, my. What a fun looking machine. Compared to what my first computer looked like and what it could do . . . no comparison.

  5. Stan Spiegel says

The system's flexibility makes it easier to read at length, especially if you have bifocals like I do. The touchscreen keyboard adds additional flexibility. As a reader, I like to savor what I read with a book in hand. Reading on a computer screen takes much of the pleasure away. This system looks like it could make reading a pleasure again. I have a facebook account but not a twitter.

  6. Hey Lynn

Thanks for the opportunity. My house's PC has been surviving and struggling for the past 8 years and this might be the perfect chance for it to be finally put to rest after the long work, if I happened to be the winner from the draw. πŸ™‚

    Cheers,
    Lester

  7. JOSE GUIRAO says

Well looks interesting, more so because the clean lines and end of the clutter form amounts of wire in perspective, I think is approaching the term of elegant and I'm sure is very functional, probably could be considered next step in PC design. Definitely would be a pleasure to own. Thank you for this opportunity and smart move to make a list. Congratulations. Jose Guirao

  8. This machine is a fine example of how technology is getting more user friendly everyday.

  9. Kayt Wolfe says

What a great idea! Its like an ipad on steroids. This is the way all computers will be going in future, I'm sure.

  10. Hope I'm entered.

  11. Dana Houser says

This thing looks awesome. It blows my mind how technology just keeps advancing. Faster and faster. Just when you think the latest and greatest is out, something new hits the shelf. I wonder what's next?

    -Dana

  12. Looks like an IPad for the desktop. It would be very interesting to try out. Fingers crossed

  13. Robert Johnson says

This would be a welcome addition to my IMac. I could really use a Windows view to the web to confirm my web designs.

  14. Evan Bartholomew says

Well, that's pretty cool on multiple levels.

No worrying about extra space for the tower and wires (though I wonder what the insides would look like if one would want to upgrade or change it)

A working and practical touchscreen is always pretty cool :D!

    Interesting how technology moves on.

  15. Roey Pimentel says

Wow - I could do a lot of "thinking" with that ThinkCentre! πŸ™‚ It looks like it could really help increase productivity. This seems to be a great option for people who get frustrated with their mouse and/or have hand-eye coordination issues.

  16. Roey Pimentel says

PS - Lynn - lol - next time you use the term "Walk-Thru" you might want to spell out "w-a-l-k" if Slim is in the room - haha!

  17. Carol Bremner says

Lynn, your home office is a computer lover's dream the way all those systems are set up. My new laptop is a Lenovo, so I already like their products. And this new ThnkCentre looks great.

Another plus is the fact that it is simple enough for even a child to use. I know my six-year-old grandson was kept happy using an ipad for a good long time. So a giant device like that would be even better.

  18. Cool computer. Looks interesting and fun.

  19. Laura Kehler says

So great that it takes up so little space, and the touch screen looks amazing. This would be very welcomed in our home, as we are all using hand-me-down computers that are all at least 6-7 years old, and in much need of upgrading.

  20. Leigha Baer, Consultant for Profitable internet marketing activities says

Wow! The ThinkCentre M90z looks very cool and I love your suggestion of mounting it on a swing arm next to a comfortable chair which is exactly what I would do with it if it were mine. I spend way to much time at this desk and don't get to enjoy the rest of my living space! I've already got the perfect spot for it in mind.

For me, I absolutely love working with a touch screen! Since becoming an iPad and now a smartphone user I've really found touch screens so much more convenient to use. I've caught myself trying to touch my desktop screen on several occasions but please don't tell anyone about that. lol

Having a touch screen that is bigger than my iPad for working sounds great to me. My eyes are getting old and the small screen on the iPad can be challenging. I also really like the built in camera for making on the fly videos and easy video calling.

Another feature I like about this set up is the idea of everything being right in the screen and not having a tower! My desktop tower just seems to collect a lot of dustbunnies back around the fan.

Some might say that I've been on a lucky streak recently, I prefer to think that I'm attracting good stuff to me. Either way, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to enter for a chance to win but in the event that I don't win... I hope who ever does really enjoys what looks to be a great product. Good luck to everyone.

  21. Love the large screen and the touchscreen option, Lenovo has always been a great brand. Need a replacement for my PC and being able to use our hands could be a great option.

  22. Very sleek looking. I really like how compact it is, so it won't take up as much space as my current computer. The large screen is a plus too.

  23. Daniel Morris says

Wow! This is exactly why I didn't buy an iPad. The folks at Lenovo are much more in tune with what we need versus creating a need. The USB ports, the camera, the touchscreen - pure genius.

I'm very excited about this new product.

    Dan

  24. Benjamin W. Hughet says

looking at your office I'm getting jealous...LOL. Thanks for all the help you have been giving.

  25. This looks like a great machine. It appears to be very versatile, and would work well for business or personal use. As someone with small kids I like the touch screen capacity, as it seems that much of the new technology is moving in that direction.

  26. Carol Ann Quibell says

How much easier can it get? The ThinkCentre M90z is definitely something I would love to have to do my work on. Sign me up!

  27. Trish Lindemood says

The ThinkCenter M90z looks like an ideal solution for those of us who still love working on a desktop, but who experience a little tech-envy toward our tablet-toting friends. Love the touch screen option!

  28. I run a YouTube channel and further expand my subscriber's knowledge when it comes to technology. This would be a great addition to my program, allows me to create better Videos, and I can run through a review of my own while showcasing some great features about this device. Overall, from what I could see, the M90z seems to be a very responsive, quick, versatile, fun, and fabulous product.

  29. I think that the Lenovo would be a welcome addition in my classroom. I work with ninth graders and am always on the lookout for ways to engage them, be it tools or ideas. The touchscreen and large monitor area would doubtless intrigue. Thanks.

Turbo Charged performance! The Best of the BEST. Besides all that a mix of a desktop and notebook. I have to win it!!

  31. I think I would love to try it. I agree with Carol that my children would absolutely love it. My husband...he gets frustrated with all the fingerprints on the screen now! Wonder how he'd handle that type of screen? We do like Windows 7 - so that is a plus.

  32. Elizabeth says

Touch screen, BIG screen, new technology....and I need a new computer! Daughter's hard drive has crashed, mine is slowing down dramatically and husband's is destined for a museum! To win it would be awesome!

  33. Well you sure now how to get the geeks to come out of the woodwork. πŸ˜‰ I started singing that song just now, you know, "What would you do ooo ooo, for a bar. SO apparently I would post a comment, at the very least.

This looks like a great idea at first blush and, as competition for the iMac, it seems like it might do well just on the merits of its all-in-one design.

But the touchscreen is interesting. I'm not sure how useful it will be though since it's slightly farther away from me than optimal when I'm sitting at my keyboard. Also, how long I hold my arm out in front of me and whether it turns out the effort is less than the mousing option will be very critical. But these are the sorts of things you can't be sure of until you try it out in person. I have always wanted to use a combination of touchscreen, keyboard and mouse so it's definitely got my attention!

I'm also looking forward to your thoughts about it after you've had some time to try it out and get used to it.

  34. I want it, I want it! My son has been saving for one of these, and bragging how he will have a Jetson style computer of the future while I'm still typing on my dinosaur version. Would love to win this beauty and beat him to the punch.

  35. ThinkCentre has a keyboard and mouse? I was glad to hear that. I look forward to the generation of computers that will be fully voice-driven and beyond that to those that will be thought-driven.

  36. Iris Clyne says

I've always been a Mac, but I find I need a PC for work with some of my clients. This ThinkCentre seems to marry the 2. I love the size as I find I'm needing a bigger screen on my desktop and I love the portability and ease of the touchscreen for out in the field.
    Please make it mine πŸ˜‰

  37. I never had a touch screen device such as this. It takes me a while to catch on to the new 'it' thing. But I like the ease of use that this seems to have, plus there's lot of room on the touch screen surface. It looks like something wonderful to have around.

  38. Hi Lynn,

Here are my thoughts on the ThinkCentre M90z:

To be completely honest, I have never heard of it and knew nothing about it until watching/reading your post.

I do know that Lenovo is an outstanding brand and makes real durable computers (or so I'm told). I have not had the good fortune to own one as price has always played a part in my computer purchases and I just feel that I can get more for less cost with other brands. The other brands might not last as long but the upfront cost is usually a bit less and more within my range.

Your first initial reaction of, "It's a touch screen, 23 inch, PC so it's like a giant iPad with Windows and not sure if it would be something you would use a lot" was along my same thoughts. From what I could see from the video review, it looks as if it's a little awkward to have to reach over and touch the screen.

I do like the All-in-One design (another take off of Apple ideas) that eliminates the need for a tower. So while it looks neater without the bulky tower around, the space you might have saved by not having a tower has been swallowed up by the space needed by that monster monitor (which btw is larger than my TV).

Video camera included in the monitor like a laptop is a nice feature.

As far as forgetting to mention the on-screen keyboard, that was an easy oversight because I'm not sure it would make sense to use it the way you have the ThinkCentre set up. I'm not thinking the on-screen keyboard would be the better choice over the regular keyboard as long as it is set up like a typical desktop computer. With the monitor in the standard vertical position, I would think using the on-screen keyboard would be a little clumsy and uncomfortable.

However, the only way I would know for sure would be to experience the ThinkCentre M90z 23’’ HD-ready Touch Screen all-in-one desktop computer for myself. Ready and able, just waiting for delivery ; )

  39. Trish Lindemood says

With the massive trend toward "all things mobile' - I sometimes wonder if I am the only one still in love with my desktop computer.

The ThinkCentre M90z looks like an ideal solution for people like me who love working on a desktop, but feel a little bit of tech-envy for their tablet-toting friends. Love the touch screen option!

  40. RhondaPage says

I love that it is so sleek with no tower. Is there such a thing as a touch screen mac? Thanks so much for giving us the chance to win it.
    very cool.

  41. You had me at TOUCH SCREEN! Hubby and I are opening an insurance agency so winning a computer right now would be absolutely perfect!

  42. Linda Patrick says

I was just thinking the other day that I needed a new computer that would be easier to use than my PC laptop, take up less space on my desk and be cool and here is the answer right in my inbox Lynn. The Lenovo ThinkCentre has many of the ipad features with a 23" screen. This is great for us folks over 40. I would be able to view my work in a larger size and eliminate eyestrain. I like it Lynn and would LOVE to win this computer to make my computer time easier.

  43. Kevin Ellis says

This computer looks awesome! And I think whoever gets one of these it will dramatically improve their business. I wish everyone the best of luck in this drawing, and as much as I would want to win just the fact they are willing to give one away to one of us budding entrepreneaurs says a lot about your blog and this company. Thank you for the opportunity to enter my name into the drawing.

  44. That is really a nice looking computer. I just love the fact that it doesn't need a tower. Getting rid of the tower was one of the primary reasons I switched to exclusively using a laptop. It would be so cool to have a 23" monitor - the laptop monitor has some limitations. I could certainly see myself lounging with my over-sized "i-pad" like PC πŸ˜‰

  45. What a great machine and perfect for my high tech hubby!

  46. Frank Dickinson says

What a cool looking machine. I like that it is an all in one - reminds me of the iMac. Would love to get my hands on one!

  47. Julie Anna Schultz says

Hey Lynn! Thanks for this great opportunity. I bought a Lenovo all in one machine a couple of years ago. I decided against the touch screen wondering if my Windex obsession may interfere. πŸ™‚ Now that I have broken my self in on touch screens through Droid ownership I may be ready for this awesome computer. I love the space saving feature of my Lenovo all in one and with a wireless keyboard/mouse it's a very nice system to have on the desktop.

  48. Sure looks like 21ST century . I love the finger touch system. I see on cnn their finger touch system and thought what a great feature for a computer. I guess I will start saving up to get one to replace my old computer. thanks for letting us see this great device.

  49. A chance to replace my ancient Dell and gain desk space? Wow. Count me in...thanks.

  50. Skipper Holmes says

Holy mackerel! I hope this is my lucky day coz I sure would like something that big that I could actually see with my bifocals! I luv the touchscreen! It's a real biz machine at 64 bits...I know I could get wealthy quicker with this terrific toy!!! Please God, let it be me...I been a good girl & deserve a nice new toy...Best to everyone!
